I’m 5 months old, and I’m already trying out for best boy ever When my fosters first met me, I was the very first one to crawl over for cuddles and start handing out sweet puppy kisses—like free samples at Costco! With my soft fur, squishy little face, and loving personality, I’m pretty hard to resist. I’m not just cute—I’m smart, too! On walks, I’ve been very well behaved, and I’m practicing commands like sit, stay, and come like a little overachiever. (I might even remind you about homework ) I’m still working on potty training and getting used to foster life, but I’m trying my very best. In my crate, I’m a perfect gentleman—no mess, no destruction, just patiently waiting like a good boy. I LOVE to play and romp around, and I’m a really good house guest. One of my favorite things is snuggling—there’s nothing better than pressing into your lap for cuddles. Fancy is most definitely a unique puppy and we are excited to help her move along to her forever home. She is a Fluffy Frenchie, estimated to be 9 months old, currently weighing 18 lbs. We had not planned to bring Fancy into our rescue, rather, we had committed to a little Hound Mix. However on the day prior to transport, we were asked if we could squeeze in Fancy. She has been surrendered by her breeder, who was cited for having one too many dogs on his property. So, Fancy was dumped….and…given the chance to find a forever home perfect for her, rather than face who knows what kind of future!! She’s little Miss Personality, friendly, sociable, and outgoing. Fancy loves to play with other dogs, with toys, with chew bones. Although a puppy, Fancy is not wild and crazy, but rather playful, balancing her play with lounging. She can be mischievous at times! Fancy is of course gorgeous with her black silky-soft medium-length coat, glistening in the sun outside! She requires a family very experienced with the French Bulldog Breed, being fully aware of potential health issues specific to this breed, i.e., breathing issues related to their squishy face, eye issues, skin allergies, ear infections to name a few. Fortunately at Fancy’s initial vet visit, our vet assessed her as being an overall healthy version of the breed; her face is not as squished in as many dogs of this breed, her skin / coat look great, and her eye health is great too. Fancy would do best living in a single-family home with a nice, secured, fenced yard allowing her to run and play as much as she’d like. While not a barker, Fancy does enjoy an occasional barking session, and, her bark is loud and somewhat high-pitched. Fancy is up to date on vetting, and vaccinations. She is heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm preventative. Fancy’s spay and microchipping are also included in her adoption fee. She is working hard on housebreaking and doing well! He’s almost there! Please note that BAARK is located in Barrington IL, a far NW suburb of Chicago, and adopts local to our area (within 40 miles), in Illinois.
