Romeo, oh Romeo… where fore art thou home-eo?This 2-year-old Boston Terrier mix is looking for a leading role in someone’s life—preferably as the only pet in the spotlight. Romeo is a total catch (pun absolutely intended) when it comes to fetch—he lives for the thrill of chasing his tennis ball and would gladly make it his full-time job. With the people he knows and loves, he’s silly, loyal, and super affectionate. But new folks? They make him nervous, and when Romeo gets scared, he can react in ways that aren`t so charming. He`s working on it, though, and he’ll need a patient, adult-only home to help him keep up the good work.He’s not interested in sharing his kingdom with cats or other dogs—he’d much prefer to soak up all the love (and snacks) for himself. Speaking of snacks… Romeo’s got a little extra cushion around the middle, so he’s hoping his new family can help him get back to his fighting weight with some healthy meals and lots of fetch-fueled cardio.If you`re looking for a loyal best friend with a dramatic name, a big heart, and a love story in the making—Romeo’s ready to sweep you off your feet (and probably drop a tennis ball in your lap).Our shelter is open Tuesday-Sunday from 12-4 (closed Mondays).   Meet Geraldine, aka 'Gerry', the sweet little bundle of joy who’s ready to bring endless love and laughter into your life! Gerry is an 11-month-old purebred Boston Terrier with a heart as big as her adorable snore (yes, you read that right—she snores hilariously loud!). Weighing in at just 17 pounds, this pint-sized cutie is a total sweetheart who’s looking for her perfect family.   How did someone lose this precious girl? We're still not sure, but we're so grateful she found her way to us! Gerry was found wandering the country roads, wagging her tail like she was just waiting for someone to stop and scoop her up. And now that we’ve had the chance to know her, we know she’s destined for greatness—and a great home!   Gerry is a total gem—she's housebroken, crate trained, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She's got all the basics covered, plus she’s great with kids, cats, and other dogs! But the real treat? Her snuggly side. She absolutely adores belly rubs and kisses—your heart will melt every time she looks up at you with those sweet eyes.   If you're looking for a playful, healthy, and well-mannered pup who will keep you laughing with her snoring antics and be your best friend for life, then Gerry might just be your new bestie. Zeus is a10 year-old Brindle Boston mix, 33 pounds of muscle, with a gentle mouth; he's a very loving guy who loves to play with dogs his size.  He's a bit energetic for smaller dogs, but played with our 10# puppy every day. Zeus would love to have a 6 foot fenced yard with room to run and play; he used to jump our 4 foot fence.  He doesn't like cats and doesn't like having his nails cut. Up to date on shots, heartworm negative, crate and house trained.  He's a great dog. Please send your phone number to learn more about Zeus. Meet Ozzie. He was born on 2/19/23 and is an adorable Boston Terrier Pit mixed breed. He can't wait to find an active family to share his love and energy with. Whether it’s a game of fetch or running around in the yard, Ozzie’s playful spirit will keep you on your toes and a permanent smile on your face.  He is up to date on vaccinations and has been neutered. If you’re ready to bring home a sweet and happy dog, Ozzie is the guy for you.  *PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO STRINGENT OUT OF STATE HEALTH CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS WE ARE NOW ONLY ADOPTING TO RHODE ISLAND RESIDENTS*. We apologize for the inconvenience. HOW TO GO ABOUT ADOPTING: 1. Come in during adoption hours to apply and full out an application completely. We have applications on site. Open adoption hours take place at 44 Worthington Road in Cranston, RI. We are open every Wednesday 3-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm. 2. We require proof of homeownership (tax form, deed, mortgage statement) or landlord approval (a copy of your lease that clearly states you are allowed to have a dog, puppy, cat, or kitten OR written and signed consent from your landlord. 3. We require copies of up to date vet records for any current pets. Helpful reminders: *We do not do same day adoptions. *Please bring the entire family in to meet the animal you are interested in. *We will setup a meet and greet with your dog at a later date. PLEASE do not bring your dog with you when you come in to apply.
