Story
Meet Misty! 🩷 the adorable 9 month old Frenchie mix puppy.
While she's still adjusting to all the new sights and sounds in her foster home, she's making progress every day and her sweet personality is starting to shine through.
She's wonderful with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around. She's also doing well on leash walks and is gaining confidence with each outing. One of her biggest accomplishments so far? Conquering stairs! At first, even the three steps leading in and out of the house seemed overwhelming, but she's already learned to go up and down them with much more confidence.
Misty is still a little shy when meeting new people and can be nervous when someone approaches her, but she's incredibly sweet and is slowly learning to trust. She's discovering that people aren't so scary—especially when treats are involved! Misty is very food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding.
When she's feeling comfortable, her playful side comes out. She absolutely loves playing with balls and is always ready for a game. We're working on teaching her to bring the ball back so she can become the ultimate fetch partner.
Her foster sister, Bonnie, has been an excellent role model. Misty looks to Bonnie for reassurance on walks and enjoys following her lead as she explores the world. She's also living with two cats. While she's curious about them, she's been respectful and has shown no interest in chasing them.
Like any young puppy, Misty is still working on her housetraining, and her future family should be prepared to continue helping her learn. With patience, positive reinforcement, and a little time, she's sure to keep blossoming.
Misty is a gentle, playful little girl who just needs someone willing to let her build confidence at her own pace. Once you earn her trust, you'll have a loyal companion ready for adventures, playtime, and plenty of love. She is not good with children under 8years old.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
