Story
Beano is a 8yr old Boston Terrier, originally from Florida! he grew up in a nursing home, then moved through a bunch of houses. He’s dealt with some neglect from previous owners but he’s still the sweetest boy. Beano loves blankets and snuggles and long walks! He’s a barker, definitely vocal but it just means he’s happy. He has separation anxiety but he’s a good boy and he’s well trained. He’s a very food motivated little man. he’s afraid of other dogs and cats, because he’s been attacked before but is non-aggressive. He would do best in a very relaxed environment and being the only pet in the house seeing as chaos makes him timid.

Story
Marco is a wonderful and beautiful asset to any family. He’s kind, loving, enjoys affection and attention, and loves outdoors, as well as in. Very kid, friendly non-violent. Unfortunately, we’re not experienced in training dogs, so he still occasionally uses the bathroom inside the house, if not walked consistently. He also needs a leash while being walked. He’s very happy, healthy, athletic, and well taken care of. We’re moving soon, so unfortunately, he cannot come along. His birthday is February 19 and he was born 2019.

Story
Everyone loves a Boston Terrier and so do we!  This girl is not one of those well bred BT's but one of those that needs the most help!  Our girl is called Jettie and She is a 22 pound,  9 year old mostly black female Boston Terrier girl that is healthy and happy and looking for a home.  Feisty and confident like most Bostons, this girl has alot of spunk, and alternatively really enjoys napping by your feet. Her story is that her owner died and the owner’s son took her to live with him. It was not he happy time and situation for Jettie.  This innocent and lost little girl was put at that time, and only 17 pounds, in the back yard with his Pit Bulls.  HORRORS!!!!!   OF COURSE things went wrong and based on the fact that animal control was called, she was surrendered with so many wounds on her body, neck and tail. Despite the nightmare, she is still loving and trusting and just wanting to BELONG.  This girl has been in foster care for the past month and the wounds are healed on the outside but emotionally she is constantly looking over her shoulder to see if she needs to protect herself. Can you help Jettie?  She is not a shrinking violet and out of survival instinct, a girl who will be appreciative for whatever is done for her.  Since she has always been 'defending' herself, we are asking for an ONLY DOG HOME for her.   We don't want her to always be looking over her shoulder at another dog coming to hurt her.  I think she learned to growl and act like an alpha to thwart the constant aggression she was living with. Because of that, I feel that she has earned the right to belong to a living family who has no other dogs…She respects the cat and dogs in the foster home because they show her no malice, but on  occasion she will growl and posture if she feels threatened. If you can handle that tension for while till it subsides then fine....but it is there.  She is a loving dog who longs for walks, cuddles and the love of a human(s) in a safe and loving environment!  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.July 26, 2024, 2:09 pm

Story
Meet Gremlin! Gremlin was found as a stray and transferred to Broken Tail Rescue. She was a bag of bone, had skin issues, missing and broken teeth, and poor nares and breathing. She has indicators of being bred and an outside dog. Gremlin is 50/50 French and English Bulldog. She is about 30 pounds and the size of a Frenchie. Since being in her foster home we have helped her gain weight slowly, had dental needs met, cared for her nares, and learned a lot about her needs and personality. Gremlin is missing most of her K9 teeth and should have a mix of soft and hard foods. She needs daily grooming care, especially with her nose folds, private areas, and nose. Her eyes and paws need daily wiping, her nose needs daily cream, and her bum and girly parts need wiping after each potty. Her feet should be wiped before entering the home after her potty walks. Gremlin is a high-maintenance girl but her adorable face, happy dance, and her desire to be attached at your hip make her more than worth it! She can be 100% potty trained unless you are not a person who keeps a consistent schedule or have pet urine in your home that was not cleaned properly with enzyme-specific dog urine cleaner or if previous dogs have urinated in your home and it has seeped into old hardwood floors. If this is the case with you, Gremlin is not your kind of dog! She needs a consistent schedule with two daily walks and a pee break around noon. While having been boarded with a positive trainer Gremlin did amazing with no potty accidents after getting on their schedule. But, her foster home does have an old hardwood floor with settling-causing spaces in between boards and an area where Gremlin just HAS TO pee over no matter her schedule. Despite the floor being re-finished. She was able to go from 9 am to 4 pm outside the crate with free access to water, a noon break outside and no accidents while in her boarding home. She has it in her to be fully potty trained without issue in the RIGHT home. To help her be successful with potty training in her pee-ruined floors at her foster home, she is crated when no humans are to watch her and overnight. Gremlin does great in her crate and has learned “go to your room” means snack in her crate. She will sleep through the night in the crate but wants to go home to a family where she will be allowed to sleep with her humans. She is a shadow dog after all! If she does have to be crated overnight plan for a 4-5am Gremlin alarm clock! Gremlin loves to play with her Frenchie foster brother and at times does engage in play with her 100-pound American Bulldog foster brother. She will hog her humans though. She could be lying next to you enjoying a nap and if her fosters come up to the humans she runs right over pushing them aside! She wants all the attention! She does snuggle and cuddle with her Frenchie brother and snuggles in foster Dad’s lap with her brother too. We believe she would do great in a home with another brachial breed and possibly other sizes or breeds of dogs. _________________________ If you are interested in finding out more about Gremlin, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: http://bit.ly/2JnZqK5 Gremlin is being fostered in XXX. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

At approximately 14 years young and a perfect 25lbs, Angel is here to show you that age is just a number when it comes to living your best life. Angel's Stats: Age: 14 (but don’t let that fool you, she’s got the wisdom of a sage and the sass of a teenager) Weight: 25lbs (all of it pure love and a little extra underbite) Breed: Pug/Chihuahua/Terrier mix (a.k.a. the best of all worlds) Why You'll Love Angel: Dog-Friendly Diva: She gets along great with other dogs! Your furry friends will thank you for this wise and witty addition to the pack. Cat's Coolest Friend: Mostly indifferent to cats, she’ll let them rule the roost while she rules the couch. Kid-Approved: Angel is wonderful with kids! She’s the perfect grandma dog who’s always up for a gentle pat and a kind word. Professional Lounger: 98% couch potato, 2% playful pupper. She’s your go-to gal for binge-watching marathons and lazy Sundays. Potty Pro-ish: Mostly housebroken but needs frequent potty breaks. (Hey, who doesn’t?) Foodie Alert: Very food-driven! Keep her crated when unsupervised, and she’ll be the best-behaved pup around. Leash Legend: Walks politely on a leash and enjoys a short stroll or two every day. She does have mild arthritis, so slow and steady wins the race! Crate Queen: Settles well in her crate, making her a dream for those times when you need a break.
