DOB 12-17-2020. - Hutch is a very good boy with quite the story. After being adopted, he became well-known when he went missing for over three months before being found skinny and injured. Now safely back with us, Hutch is getting the care he needs, including surgery to repair his leg, and will be looking for a foster home during his recovery and a forever home after. Hutch is great with kids and loves his people, but he will need a home with no cats or other dogs, as he can be particular about his canine friends. He is also a bit of a Houdini escape artist, so a secure setup and attentive family are a must. With the right home, Hutch will be a loyal, loving companion ready to leave his wandering days behind. Are you looking for a playmate for your dog? Moo is the perfect playmate! He is a medium sized gorgeous black and white mixed breed. DOB is 6/23/2024. Moo is housetrained, great with kids, and other dogs. He isn't great around cats though. His favorite things to do are playing with his dog friends and snuggling with his human friends. Moo is very dependent on other dogs and thrives being around them he gains courage while around other dogs, he is a very submissive boy who would fit in easily with other dogs. Moo is very timid with new people at first, but with a bit of patience and lots of yummy treats he can easily be won over! Here is what his cold weather foster has to say: He is such a sweetheart and deserves a home and family. He thrives around other dogs, which you already know. I wouldn’t recommend him being in a home with cats. Ours have been in hiding with him here. He just wants to feel safe and have a person or dog to snuggle with. All of our pets are fixed, up to date on their vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks is open from 9am-4pm, seven days a week. No appointment needed for adopters. Jade was found living in the woods of rural Newton County with a group of dogs, likely her littermates. After months of looking out for herself and her pack, she's figured out how to survive. Now she needs someone to teach her how to be a house dog. Jade lives with a large pack of dogs currently and generally gets along with them, cats, and people, though she can be bossy and pushy with some other dogs. She's also vocal and will bark to announce strangers, but she listens and backs off when she's corrected. A meet-and-greet with any resident dogs is required, and she'll do best with someone who can give her consistent structure. Jade is smart and responds to correction, so with a dedicated person and some regular training she should come along quickly. She's still young, with an adorable slight underbite and pretty moo-cow patches, and she has everything she needs to become a spoiled, well-mannered family dog.
