Story
DOB 12-17-2020. Hutch is a very good boy with quite the story. After being adopted, he became well-known when he went missing for over three months before being found skinny and injured. Now safely back with us, Hutch is getting the care he needs, including surgery to repair his leg, and will be looking for a foster home during his recovery and a forever home after. Hutch is great with kids and loves his people, but he will need a home with no cats or other dogs, as he can be particular about his canine friends. He’s also a bit of a Houdini escape artist, so a secure setup and attentive family are a must. With the right home, Hutch will be a loyal, loving companion ready to leave his wandering days behind.

Story
Meet June! June is a senior dog looking for a loving home with a comfy couch. Her DOB is 1/16/2016. She is a brindle boxer mix. At her recent foster home, June was described as the "laziest dog ever" LOL. She loves to lay on the couch while holding a toy in her mouth but also does like outside play time. She is good at entertaining herself. She likes other dogs but would prefer to be the queen as an only dog if possible. When she is eating with other dogs, she wants to check out all the food bowls and not everyone appreciates that. She is good with kids, and cats. This sweet old lady is house trained too. She is a fence jumper BUT she never goes far and does come back. Shes a good walker, enjoys the water, and to no surprise she loves treats. All our animals are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. The Haven of the Ozarks welcomes visitors from 9 am to 4 pm every day, with no need for an appointment. For additional details, contact us at havenozarksanctuary@gmail.com. To expedite the adoption process at the shelter, you can fill out an application at www.havenoftheozarks.org/adopt.

His favorite things do are playing with his dog friends and snuggling with his human friends. Moo is very dependent on other dogs and thrives being around them he gains courage while around other dogs, he is very submissive boy the would fit in easily with other dogs. Story
Meet Chuckles 25C-44 At the end of the day after the shelter is closed the photographer often walks the inner corridor and pauses briefly at each of the kennels and shares a kind word and a perfectly cooked hot dog treat with each of the occupants. When stopping at Chuckles residence, the human was impressed with the lightness that the treat was received and the friendly smile that was always shared. When the time arrived for Chuckles photo shoot, the walk to the park started with excited tugs on the leash but quickly resolved into a comfortably paced tempo. When we arrived, Chuckles patiently waited for the bandana tie and then, surprisingly didn’t dash off but waited for the human to initiate the park exploration. Chuckles’ fun-loving attitude and big smiles reminded the volunteers of a circus clown entertainer and his name was dutifully awarded. Chuckles showed his gentle nature as he came up from behind the human and almost imperceptibly touched his hand to say “I am here with you.” He enjoyed being close and peering out at the world through the human’s legs and didn’t seem to mind sharing the park with a duck squeaky but he did win the eye-to-eye stare down. Time spent with Chuckles will generate feelings of acceptance, camaraderie, confidence, cheerfulness, and laughter.
