Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Rosie! This bio was written by a family that fostered Rosie for a couple weeks however the 3 cats in the home were not so happy with the new guest.Rosie is an active and affectionate companion who loves playing tug, going for runs, and splashing in natural waterways. While she is an older dog, she has plenty of energy and focus for training. She is highly toy-motivated and moderately food-motivated. Rosie truly loves her people; she will follow you from room to room and always greets you with a goofy smile. To ensure Rosie succeeds in her new home, there are a few important considerations:  - Supervision: She is capable of jumping a six-foot fence and requires supervision when in the backyard.  - Environment: She would do best as the only pet. While she can appear neutral around other animals, she struggles with confrontation.  - Support: Rosie deals with separation anxiety and an aversion to thunder. She needs a patient owner who can provide structure and continue working on these challenges. In my personal experience with Rosie, I have found her 'issues' to be quite manageable with time and practice. For example, by playing thunder noises during treat times, we were able to reduce her anxiety attacks from 30 minutes down to just five. She does excellently with car rides and leash walking, and she will even politely let you know when it is time for dinner.Rosie has been waiting for her forever home for some time now. She is a sweet, loving girl who just needs the right person or family to give her a chance to shine.Rosie is a sweet and loyal dog seeking her forever home.Rosie is a high-energy, older dog who loves running, swimming, and playing tug. She is toy and food-motivated, making her highly responsive to training. Due to her ability to jump 6-foot fences, she requires supervised outdoor time. While she experiences separation anxiety and thunder aversion, these are manageable; desensitization training has already reduced her storm-related anxiety from 30 minutes to five.Rosie is affectionate, enjoys car rides, and walks well on a leash. She would thrive as the only pet in a structured environment with a present and patient owner.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 9, 2026, 5:08 pm

Story
Jojo is being fostered in Illinois. She has some vision. Hi. My name is Jojo. I am a 4-year-old boxer mix. I like to think of myself as a playful happy-go-lucky gal. I may not see you well because close objects are like shadows and a little blurry to me, but I know you are there. I get along well with all the cats and dogs in my foster home. I like cats. But I may need slow introductions with little feisty dogs. But I would love to go to a home that has many friendly 4-legged buddies. I like to be active and meet people and other dogs. However, I am not too good with children because a lot of time kids either approach me too fast or gather around me, which makes me so scared that I have to give a warning snap. But I do love my walks. Even more, I love an open field that I can have all to myself so I can let out a lot of my energy. At home, I like to relax and sit at my spot while my foster daddy is doing his work. Everyday, I get to be petted and it makes me feel loved. I am housebroken. However, every once in a while, I have accidents because anxiety gets the best of me when I realize my foster dad has not been home for a while. I will do well in a home where someone is present 90-95 percent of time, perhaps with someone who works out of home or is an active retired person. Blind Dog Rescue has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Cosmo is a loving, playful and charismatic dog. He will be 4 years old this July. Over the years, he has acquired different nicknames by our friends and family like Cosmito or Cosmo Jose. He loves the outdoors, walks are one of his favorite parts of the day and he gets very vocal (yes, one of his many boxer traits) and excited when you say the word “vamos”. He knows commands such as sit, stay, ven, high 5 and the one he knows best but was never taught was to come running to the fridge when he hears the ice machine (he will drool for ice every single time!). He loves cuddles and is a lap dog through and through (he forgets he is 72lbs altogether when he sits on your lap, putting aside any care for personal space… I’m sure if he could, he would ask: “What even is personal space, mom?”). We have an older dog who got reactive a little bit ago and that is the reason we are making the hard decision to find Cosmito a loving home where he can continue being his adorable and authentic self!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application PEBBLES- Our miracle baby Pebbles is a Pit Bull / Shar-Pei Mix (Pitpei). She is 14 months old and weighs 35 lbs. She is truly a survivor and is an amazing pup. Personality: Pebbles is a sweet, loving girl with a playful puppy spirit! She can be cautious when meeting new dogs at first, but once she warms up, she absolutely loves to romp and play. She doesn’t quite realize her size and enthusiasm can be a bit much for smaller dogs—but it’s all in fun! She loves kids of all ages, but again with her size she probably would do best with older kids. Pebbles loves her humans deeply and may act protective when strangers approach… even though she’s secretly afraid of her own shadow Background: Pebbles had a very rough start in life and did not receive proper vet care early on. Sadly, her siblings did not survive, but Pebbles is a true survivor who beat the odds. Although as a puppy, she was given a very small chance of surviving, every single day she thrived more and more. She never gave up and neither did we!!! After a year in foster care, she’s now ready for the amazing life she deserves. Energy Level: High – adventurous, playful, and loves exploring! Although she loves to run around and play, she also thrives hanging on the couch with her head in your lap, snoring happily. Special Needs / Health: Pebbles is listed as special needs due to a neurological-related eating issue. She does great but needs to be monitored and fed smaller food. She is a bit of an overeater, so food needs to be limited or she will eat until she is ready to bust. She has been seen through her young life by several Veterinarians, including a specialist. The testing ruled out issues with her esophagus, and the final diagnosis was more of a neurological-related eating issue. This does not slow her down, nor affect her quality of life and is manageable. Ideal Home: A loving home where she gets plenty of attention and isn’t left alone for long periods. She’ll thrive with an active family ready to give her love and structure. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 7, 2026, 10:18 pm
