Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Taz is a sweet boy that came to PRBJ from Alabama via the Pilots for Paws program.  So this little guy already has his flight wings.  He loves exploring the backyard and running around so a fenced yard will be required for this handsome boy to romp and play in safely.   New puppy parents must be dedicated to obedience, socialization and potty training to ensure the pup grows up to be a happy and well-adjusted dog. We highly recommend their new family attend puppy training classes. Training classes are the most successful when everyone in the family attends so you all learn about your new puppy.     Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 30, 2024, 5:56 pm

Story
We got Fendi from Orange County Animal Shelter. She is approximately 3 years old, per her papers. She is such a sweetheart and loves to cuddle with you on the couch. Although, she is a very timid dog. At her previous owners house, she was neglected with 3 other dogs. She was also physically abused. If you run up to her she will squeal or run away. Once she gets to know you, she gives you her trust. These past 4-5 she’s been with us, she has opened up so much and trusts us. Although, her and our cat did not get a long. Our cat has scratched her on the nose because Fendi was curious about our cat. She would be best in a home without cats and owners who will work with her to gain her trust as well. She is also good with kids. We have a 16 month old who roams around the house.

Story
Jewel is an amazing 5 year old Boxer girl - she even has the happy boxi nubby tail. She has been a family pet her whole life and has great house manners. She is housebroken and polite and has a great medium energy. Her owner went through some personal challenges and a family friend took her in but cannot keep her - she does not get along well with the other dogs in their home. Jewel isn't difficult to walk or manage out and about when she sees other dogs, she just has no idea how to politely greet new dog friends. With continued work on her social skills she has a lot of potential to do really well with dogs in the future. Continued training support will be provided for her at no cost to her new adopter. If you're looking for a spoiled only fur child for your family, this girl is seriously wonderful - pre-trained and so well behaved, full of love and silliness. She has a very typical Boxer playful, happy spirit. Great family pet for a single pet home.  Adoption fee: $150 - Dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines and come with free training support. ##1876503##

Story
***LOCATED IN HOWEY IN THE HILLS, FL*** Meet Brie- INSTANT COMPANION!   This baby girl was 'DUMPED' - a Good Sam found her in the woods, in deplorable condition and took her to his vet for a bath, a microchip-check and an overall check-up.  She was chipped but the contact info was obsolete, and records reflected this same family as having dumped another dog. Brie has a sweet temperament - is gentle, loves toys - has the heart and activity level of a 4-year old, but the Vet is guessing her to be around 7-8 years old.  She is a Boxer/Terrier mix, and weighs about 55 lbs.  She is in a temporary foster home with several cats - (confined because of the cats) and a couple other dogs who are not accepting of her, so we are anxious to get her into a new home - SOON.     She get along well with calmer dogs - but NO CATS!  Not sure about kids.   Her foster folks do not want to turn her in to a shelter for fear she will be euthanized - so we offered to help re-home her. Seems the shelters in Central FL are all maxed out.   She is happy, healthy, up to date on all vaccines - spayed & chipped.     Her adoption fee will be $150.  She will come to you fully vetted, vaccinated, spayed and chipped.   If you are interested, please download an application from:  www.gratefulpaws.org or email jmilbyer@gmail.com for one.   NOTE: Adoption/rehoming fees are applied towards the vet bill: exam, blood tests, vaccinations, fecal, worming, spay/neuter, dental if necessary, and a microchip. There is rarely anything left over, but if that happens, the monies get applied to the next or previous pet - who may have had to have an x-ray, be groomed or have a dental.April 30, 2024, 5:10 pm

Meet Daphne (DaphPunk), she’s is 5 years old and I’ve had her since she was 6months. She’s potty trained. Knows commands sit, chill (lay/down), and paw. Very energetic!! She’s well with dogs her size and larger. Older kids 10+ are fine. But younger I am not quite sure since she likes to stand on her twos paws and hug every chance she gets. She also gets energetic quick. She knows to get out of the kitchen as well. No problems with her chewing up furniture or shoes.
