Story
Hello :) my name is George, I’m a beautiful 2-3y/o pittbull, boxer, (and maybe Australian Shepard/husky in the mix) with two different colored eyes! A year ago I was dumped, abandoned on the side of the road near a major highway that I unknowingly play on. I was hit by a car and somehow recovered on my own during that time. I’ve been on my own this whole time until recently (beginning week of august 2026) when my foster parents saw me for the first time, chasing cars again and decided to give me a chance while they foster me until a spot opens up in a no kill rescue sanctuary or better yet adopted! I would really like a home to call my own. I love belly scratches, kisses, laying on the couch, receiving treats in exchange for commands that I know well (sit and come) and learn fast otherwise. Are you my forever home?

Story
This adorable pup is full of love, energy, and curiosity! Like all young dogs, this baby is still learning the ropes and will need training, patience, and plenty of guidance to grow into a well-mannered companion. With consistent positive reinforcement and lots of love, this little one will thrive! Bringing a puppy into your home is a lifelong commitment— this baby will depend on you for care, exercise, and companionship for years to come. If you're ready for the joys (and challenges!) of puppyhood and a best friend for life, your new puppy is excited to meet you!

Coco has been part of the family for 10 years. We have hit hard times and will be homeless in 2 weeks. Trying to keep coco off the streets. Would love a situation for someone to temp shelter coco untill we can get to a place that accepts dogs. She is very affectionate and loving, and this is not easy for us to do!😪

Story
Cosmo is a loving, playful and charismatic dog. He will be 4 years old this July. Over the years, he has acquired different nicknames by our friends and family like Cosmito or Cosmo Jose. He loves the outdoors, walks are one of his favorite parts of the day and he gets very vocal (yes, one of his many boxer traits) and excited when you say the word “vamos”. He knows commands such as sit, stay, ven, high 5 and the one he knows best but was never taught was to come running to the fridge when he hears the ice machine (he will drool for ice every single time!). He loves cuddles and is a lap dog through and through (he forgets he is 72lbs altogether when he sits on your lap, putting aside any care for personal space… I’m sure if he could, he would ask: “What even is personal space, mom?”). We have an older dog who got reactive a little bit ago and that is the reason we are making the hard decision to find Cosmito a loving home where he can continue being his adorable and authentic self!

Story
PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW THOROUGHLY ____________________ Meet Honey, a 7-year-old Boxer who is every bit as sweet as her name! ❤️ Honey came to us heartworm positive and with a heart condition that is common in her breed. She will need daily medication for her heart condition for the rest of her life, along with regular follow-up appointments with her cardiologist. Despite her medical needs, Honey is a wonderfully sweet lady. She is calm, quiet, and happiest when she is simply spending time with her people. She gets along well with other friendly, calm dogs and enjoys taking short walks and soaking up the fresh air. 🌸 Honey is mostly potty trained, but like any dog entering a new home, she will need some patience and understanding while she adjusts to her new surroundings. We are looking for a very special forever home for Honey—one that will make sure her heart condition is properly cared for and monitored so she can continue to thrive. Because of her condition, her cardiologist recommends a quieter home without a lot of hustle and bustle and without small children. It’s not because Honey doesn’t do well with children; rather, young children tend to be higher energy than what is recommended for Honey. Honey has so much love to give and deserves a peaceful home where she can enjoy the rest of her life surrounded by people who will cherish her. ❤️ Could you be the forever family this sweet girl has been waiting for? 🐾 NOTE: we CANNOT email information about fees. View our GENERAL fees here (you will need to copy/paste into your browser): https://theanimalleague.org/adoption-fees/ All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, receive a registered microchip, and are up-to-date on their age-appropriate shots, vaccines, and preventative care. We also test for heartworm when they are old enough. APPLICATION: https://theanimalleague.org/adoption-application/ Please visit https://theanimalleague.org/faqs/ for the answers to our most commonly asked questions such as, "what are your fees," "when can I visit," and "what is your adoption process." IMPORTANT: THE BEST WAY TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THIS PET IS TO FILL OUT OUR NO OBLIGATION, NO FEE ADOPTION APPLICATION. WE CAN NOT ALWAYS ANSWER GENERAL EMAIL INQUIRIES AND CALLS. We are volunteer based and taking care of injured, neglected pets is our priority, if you have not heard back from us within a week of applying, this pet had a best match application ahead of yours. We will keep your application on file for 6 months in case you see another pet of interest. If you do see another pet of interest, email us (when you fill out an adoption application you will receive an email contact) to tell us you would like your application applied to that pet. Thank you for your understanding! We always welcome new volunteers!
