He loves belly rubs, short walks, playing ball and just hanging out with his person. This sweet gentle giant will be available to adopt at the end of August. He doesn’t jump on furniture. Learning commands. Walks great, but pulls when he sees a squirrel or other dog (working on that now). Not a big slobberer - only occasionally when he sees a treat. Solo-plays with his toys. Sleeps 16 hours a day. 7/9/2026 - Diesel is under our mandatory evaluation period, and is not available for adoption at this time. I can be a little nervous at first and might take some time to feel comfortable, but once I trust you, I turn into the biggest cuddle bug—you’ll have a loyal little shadow by your side 💛 I’m very laid back and easygoing. I love going on walks (I’m great on leash and don’t pull!) and then coming home to relax and snuggle. As I settle in, my playful side is starting to come out more and more, and it’s been so fun discovering the world at my own pace. I’m potty trained and do well in my crate—I stay quiet and calm. I’m still building confidence, especially when it comes to new things like putting on a leash (I might plop down and get a little unsure), but I’m improving every day with patience and encouragement. I get along well with other dogs and would do great in a home with a calm companion to help me feel more secure. I’d also do well in an apartment or a house, as long as I have a loving, patient family who will give me time to come out of my shell. My ideal home would be one where someone is looking for a cuddle companion and understands that I may need a little time to fully open up. This is Xavier but he goes by Bubby he is 7 years old and needs a new family. I originally adopted him from the Tampa humane society and I don’t want to send him back there I rather find him a good loving home. He is such a good dog one of the best dogs I’ve ever had ! He loves to play, go outside, car rides and sunbathe. He doesn’t like baths and doesn’t do well around small children.
