***Local adoption only: Claire needs to be adopted by a family in the Central Florida region (Orlando area) who will commit to taking her to her follow-up vetting appointments for remaining vaccines and spay with PPR's vetting partner. These appointments will be scheduled through PPR, and the cost is included in her adoption donation.
Hi, I’m Claire, a 3monthold Boxer mix weighing 16.6 pounds, and I’m every bit the adventurous puppy my name suggests. I love exploring new spaces, greeting the world with wideeyed curiosity, and being part of whatever my people are doing. I’m hoping to find a family who enjoys a spirited little sidekick and thinks a puppy named Claire is the perfect addition to their home.
Favorite Things: Claire’s happiest moments come from play. She loves her toys, especially soft ones she can carry around, and she throws herself into games with full puppy enthusiasm. Her joy is rooted in movement, exploration, and the thrill of discovering something new.
Training and Manners: Claire is a clever, communicative puppy who learns quickly and loves using her bright little brain. Her food motivation makes training easier, and she’s already practicing her “sit” and “down” with impressive focus. She’s learning to wait politely for meals leash training and is beginning to understand simple routines. She sleeps comfortably in her secure nighttime space and, like many puppies, can be vocal when she feels overlooked, though she’s improving with gentle consistency.
Health and Care: Claire is up to date on her age-appropriate vaccines. She will need remaining vaccines and her spay at the appropriate time. These services are included in her adoption donation and will need to be done at one of our partnering veterinarians in Central FL. Claire is in great health and will just need her monthly flea and heartworm preventative. She should be low maintenance, and the occasional bath and nail trim should keep her looking and feeling her best.
Other Animals: Claire has experience with large dogs and enjoys playful interactions when they match her energy. She’s still learning boundaries and does best with supervised play and gentle guidance when she gets too enthusiastic. She hasn’t been tested with cats, and her lively curiosity may feel overwhelming to them. A patient dog companion with similar energy would suit her well.
Children: Claire would be best with children 8 and older. She’s still in her puppybiting phase, and those tiny teeth can catch even prepared hands by surprise. With steady guidance, she’ll learn gentler ways to interact, and older kids often appreciate her goofy charm and affectionate personality.
Ideal Home: Claire thrives in a singlefamily home with a fenced yard where she can run and stretch her legs. She can be vocal at times, so a home without shared walls suits her well. She prefers having someone home more often as she’s still learning independence and feels comforted by company. Her athletic nature makes her a great fit for an adopter who enjoys staying active, and a home that offers structure, supervision, and plenty of playtime will help her grow into her best self.
