Story
🤎 BESSIE 🤎 Bessie almost lost her life because people thought something was wrong with her. When she entered the shelter, she was showing neurological symptoms and was diagnosed with ataxia and a concerning heart murmur that staff believed would make surgery unsafe and lead to lifelong medical issues. But that wasn’t the real story. What no one realized at first was that Bessie had likely been beaten before arriving at the shelter, and the trauma she experienced caused temporary neurological symptoms. Once she was safe, loved, and properly evaluated, it became clear that Bessie was going to be just fine. ❤️ Since entering rescue care, Bessie has been: ✔️ Spayed ✔️ Microchipped ✔️ Fully vaccinated ✔️ Cleared and ready for adoption And now her true personality is shining through. Bessie is a total cuddle bug who LOVES her people. She adores dog friends, enjoys playing, and has the goofy, silly personality boxer lovers know and adore. She’s medium energy — happy to play, happy to snuggle, and always entertaining with her funny antics. 😂 Bessie does have some reactivity toward squirrels and fast-moving outdoor distractions, so she wears a basket muzzle on walks to help manage that safely and successfully. She walks well with it, and it allows people to confidently take her out without worrying about reactions. Because of this, Bessie would do best with: ✨ An experienced dog handler ✨ Someone familiar with boxer breeds ✨ A structured, loving home that understands reactive dogs And in return? You’ll get an incredibly loving, loyal, hilarious best friend. Bessie survived trauma, heartbreak, and being misunderstood. Now she’s ready for the forever home she always deserved. 🐾 Bessy is a 2 or 3 year old Boxer mix. Her adoption fee is waived with $100 credit towards helping her get settled in her new home! Her adoption application can be found at www.mysaltydog.com

Story
Goose is a 2 year old, 70 lb neutered male pit bull /boxer mix. He is extremely affectionate, smart, and cuddly. He enjoys playing, lounging, and snuggling. He is loyal and protective to his people. He has resource guarding behaviors (food, toys, and sometimes space). He has never bitten, but has snapped (at people and other dogs) when he feels his resources are being threatened.Because of this, he needs:✔️ Adult-only home (no children) ✔️ Experienced dog owner✔️ Calm, structured environment ✔️ Someone willing to spend the time to work with him.Might be best as an only dog. This is not a beginner dog—but in the right home, he has so much potential to be a loyal, loving companion.

Story
King is a good dog. He is a happy dog. He loves being outside. He can obey commands such as sit, stay, up, lay down, heel (to walk beside you during walks) He sleeps a lot also! He is not a picky eater. We stick to just dry food in our house. A fenced in yard would be great for him to be outside. An apartment is not a good choice due to his size.

Story
Cosmo is a loving, playful and charismatic dog. He will be 4 years old this July. Over the years, he has acquired different nicknames by our friends and family like Cosmito or Cosmo Jose. He loves the outdoors, walks are one of his favorite parts of the day and he gets very vocal (yes, one of his many boxer traits) and excited when you say the word “vamos”. He knows commands such as sit, stay, ven, high 5 and the one he knows best but was never taught was to come running to the fridge when he hears the ice machine (he will drool for ice every single time!). He loves cuddles and is a lap dog through and through (he forgets he is 72lbs altogether when he sits on your lap, putting aside any care for personal space… I’m sure if he could, he would ask: “What even is personal space, mom?”). We have an older dog who got reactive a little bit ago and that is the reason we are making the hard decision to find Cosmito a loving home where he can continue being his adorable and authentic self!

Story
Kiki is a young and pretty girl who would love an adopter that will play with her! She's the perfect blend of snuggly and playful. Kiki is a bit shy/scared when meeting new people but wants to warm up. Her adopter will need to be patient with Kiki as she is shy and has never been inside of a house. Kiki and 30 other dogs were seized by law enforcement and their previous owner charged with animal cruelty and dog fighting. The dogs all lived outside on heavy chains without access to food and water. Because Kiki has never lived inside or had a loving owner she'll need help with basic skills like potty training. But Kiki doesn't need help learning how to play! She loves to play fetch and race around the play yard with volunteers that she's learned to trust. She is one of the smartest dogs that we've ever worked with and would love to do activities like agility, scentwork etc after she's able to build more confidence. At this time Kiki needs to be either an only pet or be in a household that will separate Kiki from other pets until she's decompressed.

Story
Meet Rocky “The Rockstar”, one of our youngest seniors At age 8 and 70lbs, Rocky is the perfect balance of playful and chill. He loves running in the yard, going for walks and playing ball. He also loves taking sun naps on the patio and practicing the art of couch potato-ing. Rocky is a very polite eater at meal time and waits for the command to eat his meals. He has had training and knows sits, lays down, “place” and “leave it”. Rocky adores his toys, especially those with the squeakers and takes good care of them (he’s only chewed the face off of one toy). Rocky does need to be the only pet and would benefit from an adopter willing to continue training.  He is strong, so best with kids 12+. Our boy deserves a loving home with peace and consistency. ##2150416##

Story
At 9 years old and 62lbs, Crumble is quite the fashionista, as you can see in the pictures. She’s a sweet, friendly Velcro dog and is best suited as the only pet in the house. She’s housebroken and crate-trained. She likes playing with her toys, and it’s so cute when she carries her toy around the house. Her ideal human would be someone who works from home by day and enjoys cuddling with her by night.  Crumble is not a fan of car rides. Health & Wellness Needs: I have a visual impairment. ##2224865##
