Story
Hey there friends! I'm Zed and I'm just over 2 years old. I am your typical boxer boy that has lots of love and all the energy. I love play time and to go outside on walks! I could use some help with the leash training, but other than that I'm a good boy. I do get short bursts of energy, so afterwards I would love to cuddle on the couch or go on a soothing car ride. I came into the shelter as a stray, so I would love to find my furever family soon! Come get to know me and lets see where this goes! Some quick facts about me: Not Cat Friendly Dog SelectiveKid FriendlySweet, energetic boyWeight: 55 lbsIntake Date: 11/21/2023Reason: Stray found in PiercetonGive the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! Story
Hi, hi! I'm Athena and I am 4 years old! I am a sweet girl that can be a little shy when you first meet me, but once you get to know me, I warm up pretty quickly especially if you have treats handy! I am a relatively calm dog, so I would make a great family companion! I am pretty dog friendly, but I prefer my doggy siblings to have a calmer nature as well. Cats and I just aren't pals, so I would prefer a home without them, but I do really well with kiddos! OH I forgot to mention that I LOVE peanut butter! Peanut butter is life. I am an easy walker on the leash, and I know some commands too! I can't wait to find my furever family. Between here and the last shelter I was at, I have been in the shelter environment since April of 2023... which is a LONG time. I just keep getting overlooked, and I don't know why. I hope you'll come out to see me soon! Some quick facts about me: Not Cat FriendlyDog Selective (mostly friends and does well in play groups!)Kid FriendlyHousetrainedPeanut butter loverWeight: 45 lbsIntake Date: 2/03/2024Reason: Transfer. Story
Hi, I'm Callie Beth Anne. I'm a sweet, social girl that loves people. I am very energetic and playful - I love to play all the time! I know my basic manners and walk well on a leash. I do have a very high prey drive. Because of this, I must have a fenced yard and MUST be an only pet. I am good with kids over 12. Come play with me soon!Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! Aster *reduced adoption fee*Boxer/ Terrier Mix, a senior girl12 yrs old71 poundsI was brought to the shelter because my owner could no longer handle me.I am a big beefy girl who needs some work on leash walking.I could use some consistent exercise to help me drop a few pounds.I do like cats. They are my friends.I can be selective on any dog friends, so a meet and greet is a must. I am a smart girl and know several behaviors!Don't let my age fool you...I am a spunky girl!I am in very good health for my age and you wouldn't be able to tell I'm 12+ other than my bladder isn't as strong as it used to be. I do take a daily medication to help me with that, but that can be a secret kept between you and I!Come and meet, my beautiful self.

Story
Lyra has mastered the puppy dog eyes - even still at approximately 7 years old. She understands that your couch is our couch, your bed is our bed, makes herself at home, and even updates the Feng Shui of any cushions - free of charge! She is packed full of personality, and loves to be near you as much as possible. Lyra was clearly cared for in her past life, and it's possible she never used to have to potty outside if it was raining or snowing. Despite not being a lover of the elements, she does still adhere to her potty training and makes every effort to "hold it" until she's let outside.  Thus far, she has gotten along with everyone and everything. Anyone - human, dog, or even car - that passes by is a potential new friend, and she is READY to greet them (nicely and quietly). She reads the room really well and doesn't want to start any trouble, but she will absolutely let loose and wrestle, chase, and smack talk if she has a willing playmate. She has not resource guarded anything but bones so far, and is OK if you touch her food, but very very sad if you take it away (even to add to it), or don't put enough food in her bowl to begin with. She will hit you with her signature puppy eyes and they are very effective.  She has some pretty big feelings about being left alone. She is currently on Prozac to help manage those feelings, and she will sing you the song of her people when you leave her. But she does better with another dog in the home, and is an absolute angel while you're gone. She does NOT like being cooped up, caged, or tethered, though. The only time she has ever been destructive is when she has not had free range.  She does OK on the leash - she pulls but listens and distracts you with the little flops of the tips of her ears. Off leash, she gets the zoomies and particularly enjoys spinning in circles. She is also pretty good about coming to you.. Once she has taken in the sights and smells.  We do not know her past. She has several scars, and a knee that's been fixed up. None of that seems to have phased her, however! She is the absolute sweetest dog and just wants to love and be loved. She is very playful and would prefer a home with other pets, and ideally someone who is either retired, works from home, or a home where at least one human is home at any given time.  We've not tested for everything yet - but we suspect she'd be friends with any age of human, and any animal. We do not accept electric/underground fences. All dogs & cats in the home must be spayed/neutered & up to date on core vaccines & preventatives in order for your application to be approved. ##1840663##

Story
Hi, my name is Echo! I'm an action packed social butterfly in a small body. I love any thing and everything squeaky and treat related. I'm fine with cats and I love kids of any age! When I want to play with you, I prance my happy dance. I also love to play with other dogs, but sometimes I get too bitey. My foster mom says I'm easy to redirect though! I think I would love to live with a young dog around my size who likes to play. I love to cuddle and sleep with my foster family at night. I can take time to get used to new people, but once I'm familiar with you, I will play and cuddle with you so much. I love my foster home, but I can't wait to have a home I can call my forever home. I really can't wait to meet you!Born 02/24/2023- adoption fee $300- small at 22lbs- neutered- in foster home- good with cats- good with dogs- good with kids- working on house trainingFill out an application at all4animalsrescue.org  ##1734377##
