Story
READY FOR A PLAYMATE Meet Katoka, a two year old 48 pound, fast, agile, bouncy Boxer/Pit Bull mix. He is on the smaller side being very lean and athletic. This boy is fun to watch as he sails through the air and runs zoomies in the yard. He is a typical energetic Boxer. This boy loves to walk, play fetch, play tug of war, run with you, and does great at agility training. He is a smart boy who catches on to things quickly. He is a very affectionate guy who likes to hug and kiss his person a lot. He is also a bit of a velcro dog and will follow you around the house and likes to be touching you a lot. Katoka is very interactive and likes to be doing something most of the time. He is no couch potato. On the other hand he is very well crate trained and is content to be in his crate and is very comfortable sleeping there at night. Katoka loves other calm, well balanced dogs small or large. He has more of a submissive temperament. Right now he has a foster brother who he adores. Apparently he lived with cats before also. His ideal family would be ok with the fact that he is very protective of his house an needs slow introduction to new people. Our adoption fee includes: a collar, training leash and crate as well as life time support. Katoka has been neutered, had shots, and has a microchip. He has had leash training, knows sit, stay and paw. He has been conditioned to house noises like hair dryers, and vaccuum cleaners. He is comfortable having his paws, ears, and mouth handled, is trained to ride in a crate in the car as well as jumping in and out on command, and has learned to use a scratch pad to file his nails. He would do best in a home without children. We provide four training sessions as part of his adoption fee and would really like an adopter who will continue to do training with him so he can be the best fur baby. He thrives with structure and good leadership (like most dogs).

Story
Wilma is an approximately 6 year old Boxer mix weighing about 55 pounds. She spent almost 4 years in the shelter with her kennel mate. Wilma loves to play with toys especially squeaky tennis balls. She’s not a fan of sharing with others but she’ll let you throw them for her to fetch. Don’t let the grey in her muzzle fool you. Wilma has plenty of energy for an active family. She loves adventure and having space to stretch her legs. After spending so many years in the shelter she revels in her freedom. Wilma also thrives with love and attention. She craves it. Wilma loves close contact with her people and another dog. In her foster home there are other small and large dogs. She does great with all of them.
