DESPERATELY NEEDING A FOSTER OR FOREVER FAMILY!!! Don't Roger's sweet eyes call to you? Roger's dad is having serious health issues and we are hopeful a family will step up to help Roger AND his family! Roger is an 9-10 year old boy, 75ish lb Lab mix who is sadly looking for a home where he can spend his senior years! His owner has health issues which are causing the sad decision to rehome Roger. He needs a home with no kids under the age of 16, as he tends to be a resource guarder when he has something in his mouth and someone tries to get it from him, so dog savvy owners would be best for this handsome boy. His people say "We really want Roger to go to a good family that can love him and give him the proper care and exercise he truly needs and wants. We had to downsize and now we don't have a fenced yard for him to run around in, so he is full of energy and we cannot get out with him the way he needs and he does not get many walks. He really needs a yard to run in, with space to spread out, be free and play, and we can not provide that for him. On walks, he can bark at the wildlife, and cars and bikes, so we all really miss the fenced yard we used to have for him". His people also tell GRRAND: "He is a sweet dog and just loves to be around me, loves to get affection and be petted, and follows me from room to room! Roger lets me know when people are at the house because he gets so excited and he barks a bit when they come in, but settles down quickly and melts into the background after about 5 minutes. He is very well house trained and has never had an accident in the house, and he will bark and let me know when he needs to go out or when he needs/wants something". He used to have a doggie companion who passed away and he is said to miss his friend and is lonely. She is a lovable beautiful dog. I cherish her. But she just is not good with new people other than me. I may be getting married soon and can not have her scaring the wife. I would not recommend her with children but she can get along with the rest of us Once She Gets to Know You. It takes caution and experience. I would hope she goes to an experienced adult who has a nice outdoor space as well.

Hi friends, it's me, Callie, the female Hound/Beagle mix, here to steal your heart and become your new best friend. I'm a bubbly, happy-go-lucky kind of gal who's always wagging my tail and looking on the bright side of life. I'm only 1 1/2 years old so still just a young whippersnapper 40 pound puppy! Let me tell you my story. I was wandering the hills of Tennessee when I was only five months old, taking in the fresh air and exploring the great outdoors, when I was found and taken in by a wonderful rescue organization, Blue Ridge Rescue! I had the good temperament of enjoying being around other dogs, good with cats and even children, so Blue Ridge Rescue signed me up for the Paws Behind Bars Prison Training Program! It was a little scary in there with all those people, lots of loud noises and jangly things so it kinda stressed me out a little! The super folks at Blue Ridge realized it was a little more than my sweet personality could muster so I went off to Dog House Behavioral and Obedience Training LLC where I finished off my training and now, I'm a pro at sitting, staying, coming when called, and even doing my business outside like a true lady. I'm always eager to please, and I just love showing off my good and happy manners. I have learned a lot of obedience and life skills with my trainer friend, Mr. Hall, but I want to tell you about my playful side! I just adore playing tug-of-war with toys, especially when it's with my furry friends, and I love taking a dip in the swimming pool. I don't jump in, I just like wading on the step, like it's the kiddie pool! :) I get along with other dogs, but I'm also happy to be the apple of your eye and have all your love to myself. I'm a love bug at heart, always wanting to be by your side, giving you cuddles and covering you in kisses. I may start off on the shy side, but once I know you're my friend, we are absolute best buds for life! I have been in rescue too long! I would really like a family all my own! I know, Kentucky has so many Hound type dogs we get overlooked all the time, but give me a chance - I will be your best friend for all time! Does require Apoquel prescription for allergies. Biggie is a 9year old boxer Rottweiler mix. 90 lbs. we’ve had him since he was a puppy. He is great with children and other animals. He has been the best dog. He is house trained and follows commands he will not roll over though. He doesn’t like car rides gets anxiety and wines during car rides. He loves a good game of fetch and just being with family. I wish we could keep him but under our circumstances we are moving to housing that doesn’t allow animals.
