To schedule a time to meet this dog, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org.---- TOTAL cuddle bug who adores doing everything with his humans and has zero personal space - Loves chew toys and car rides - May be vocal around strangers, but warms up quickly to visitors - Knows sit, no, and good boy, and does fantastic on a leash; his foster family said he's also well-behaved in the house- Has been fully potty trained in his foster home; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new routine- Can be vocal when left alone, so he may do best in a free-standing home vs. an apartment or other attached-living situation - Has done well with kids in his foster home and adores getting all the pets, but may benefit from a more mature home where all family members are big enough to be OK with the fact that he sometimes doesn't understand personal space- Prefers slow introductions to other dogs, but once he feels comfortable he loves rowdy play; would greatly benefit from a confident dog friend in his new home who can show him the ropes - Has been friendly toward the cats in his foster home and likes to sniff them - Overall a great family dog who will bring lots of joy to his people!The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Currently working very hard on mastering "Sit" - Has been quite friendly meeting new friends in his foster homes. Young kiddos may be a little overwhelming for this guy, so he'd thrive in a mature home with people who understand and respect canine body language (mature home recommended) - Has enjoyed playing with his foster dog sibling, though can be a bit tentative to really get playing with her. He would probably enjoy a dog friend that can let him settle in at his own pace! - Was initially quite scared of the cats in his foster home; has started to show some curiosity but otherwise keeps his distance - Has proven to be house trained in his foster home, though every dog will need some patience as they adjust to a new home's schedule - The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs.
