Hi, I’m Spartacus! I’m a handsome Boxer/Hound mix with expressive eyebrows, adorable spots, and a personality that gets better the more you know me. I’m a sweet guy who enjoys spending time with my people, getting out for walks, and taking in the world around me. I have pretty nice leash manners, but I’m just as happy slowing things down. Give me a plush bed or a good patch of sunshine and I’ll gladly show you how seriously I take relaxation. I’ve lived with other dogs before, too! Like with any new roommate, I’d still want a proper introduction to make sure everyone is comfortable, and the staff can tell you more about what they’ve seen from me. One thing I know for sure? Cats and I are not meant to be roommates, so I’m looking for a feline-free home. At almost 7, I’m past the puppy stage, but I still have plenty of life, personality, walks, sunbathing, and love ahead of me. I’m just missing the place where I get to enjoy all of it. I’ve already found my favorite way to spend an afternoon. Now I just need a sunny spot to call my own. Hi everyone, Rocky here! I came to Woodford Humane looking for my second chance after my person passed away, and I’ve been working pretty hard on myself while I wait for my next chapter. When I arrived, I weighed about 93 pounds, and these days, I’m rocking a much healthier 63 pounds! I’m past all that puppy chaos, but I’m not quite ready to call myself a lazy senior either. I’m a sweet, laid-back guy who appreciates the good things in life: a nice stroll, some time sniffing around the yard, and, most importantly, a comfy place to settle in with my people. I’ve had some knee trouble in the past, so keeping me at a healthy weight and giving me appropriate exercise will help me stay feeling my best. But don’t let that fool you, I’m doing great, and losing 30 pounds is proof that I’ve been putting in the work! After everything has changed in my life, I’m more than ready for something permanent: a family to love and a couch to call my own. If you have another dog at home, I’d love to meet them first just to make sure we’re a good match! I’ve worked hard, lost the weight, and I’m feeling better than ever! Billy immediately made himself right at home with his foster family, dogs big and small included! Billy is doing AMAZING with crate training and can sleep throughout the night without accidents. He has been successfully pottying outside with the verbal cue, Go potty. He is still working on signaling when he needs to go potty following any kind of excitement, like play or running around in the house. Billy is SO affectionate and loves kisses on his snout in return! He loves being around his people and is extremely friendly and outgoing. His puppy dog eyes are sure to win you over. Billy is super observant and is always on the move. He loves watching passing cars on car rides. In foster care, hes continuing to work on socialization so he can get used to all the new smells and sounds the world has to offer. Billy is very flexible when it comes to routine. He loves his play time, but he also wont turn down a nap in his crate with a snuggly blanket. He does extremely well with settling independently following play time or walks. Billy LOVES his bones! His current favorites are cheek rolls, yak chews and filled bones. In foster care, Billy is working on leash manners and basic commands such as sit and down. He has gotten along with the resident pups in his foster home and is not intimidated in the least! Billy has completed his veterinary care (neuter, vaccines, microchip). His adoption fee is $300. Pebbles is a 3-year-old Pit Bull mix who is about as sweet, laid-back, and easygoing as they come. She already knows basic commands, is crate trained and housebroken, and is wonderfully food motivatedwhich should make continuing her training a breeze. Shes also great on a leash, rides well in the car, eats like a champ, and doesnt seem bothered by everyday household noises like the vacuum. Pebbles is friendly with both men and women, does well with other dogs, and has shown no issues with cats. She could happily live with another dog, but with her affectionate personality, we also think shed be perfectly content soaking up all the attention as an only dog. At home, Pebbles is calm and relaxed, especially for a dog her age. She enjoys chewing on a toy here and there, but her favorite activity is probably cuddling up with her people. She hasnt shown signs of separation anxiety and so far isnt much of a barker, either. Because Pebbles is a bigger girl, we think a home without very small children would be the best fit simply due to her size. Rich is a super friendly, easy-going guy who we believe to be about 4 years old. He loves all types of toys, but chew toys are definitely his favorite. Rich is well out of the destructive puppy phase and great on walks - no pulling or tugging! He is crate trained and doesnt have accidents in the house. Rich is currently fostered with one other male dog and one female dog. He has spent a lot of time with a small breed dog as well. He has done well with most other dogs at events and meets with hopeful adopters, but he just hasn't found the right fit yet. He can be tested with cats, upon request. Additionally, we know Rich does well with kids as his foster family has young neighbors.
