I like toys of all kinds, I love to run around and play with other dogs.  I love kids they are great fun!  I'm house trained and crate trained. I got to meet a pet rabbit the other day and he smelled GREAT! Don't worry I just sniffed him a LOT!! Where are my manners? Let me introduce myself, I'm Coco Puff, I'm a 5 year old Boxer mix.  I act just like my breed says I will. As much as I love to play, I also like curling up on the couch with my Foster mom, she loves it when I want to snuggle. I'm also the best heater you will ever have! if you get cold at night, I'm more than happy to help keep you warm! So if you're looking for some fun and lots of love in your life, I would love to become part of your family.   Coco did have a growth removed off of her abdomen that ended up being a mast cell tumor.  Our veterinary team feels like they got all of it, but it is uncertain if she will have other places pop up as boxers are a breed prone to having mast cell tumors.  Adoption fee: $50 (includes 6% State Sales Tax)      Our pets are fostered in volunteers' homes, not at a shelter facility. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please fill out one of our dog adoption applications ( www.sc4paws.org/forms)  and an adoption counselor will contact you with more details and to schedule a meet and greet. We do adopt out of state. Dogs/puppies are already neutered/spayed, temperament tested, microchipped, current on all vaccines, tested for heartworms and Lyme disease, and treated for internal parasites and flea/tick preventative  prior to adoption. Looking for the sweetest boy in town? It's Andy. Andy is 41 pounds and about six years old. His breed is unknown, but he might have a little bit of Boxer mixed in with Greyhound? We're not certain, but his brindle and white markings are beautiful. During his time in Camp K-9 at the Kentucky State Reformatory, Andy showed his love for other dogs. He loves to play. He does not want to share his home with cats however! Andy should be fine in a home with children. He is house trained and crate trained, and sleeps comfortably in his crate. Andy does show some nerves in new situations, but once he settles in, he will be your best friend.

LACEY is a 3-year-old female Boxer mix who weighs 55 lbs. She recently come into our program, and she's an instant favorite! She is unique in so many ways. She has the appearance of a Boxer, yet her coat indicates something else. It is velvety soft and plush. She is heavily speckled all over, like a Spaniel. Most of all, she has a personality that grabs you right away. She is that charming! She smiles and will readily give hugs and kisses! LACEY is currently participating in our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program and doing very well! In a few short weeks, she has crate, leash and house-training checked! Now she's working on "sit," "stay," "down," and "come." So far, her social skills are good. She's met many inmates, in addition to her own, and she's got a wag and a hug for any of them. We are working her around the other adult dogs, and we are leaning towards a preference for male dogs. A submissive, younger female might be okay, too. Keep in mind, there are no outward signs of aggression, we are simply stating a preference. (We are all about the right fit!) Her overall energy level is moderate, and, in our world, that's a huge plus! Her perfect home? A fenced yard with an active family.
