Dani is a sweet, wonderful dog. She is well trained and energetic. She loves to cuddle on pillows with her loved ones. Dani came from a chaotic foster home and is very food insecure and scared of other animals. This is our reason for having to surrender her. She attacked our other dog over her food dish. I would not recommend her around other animals between her fear and high prey drive.

Hello everyone, meet Rocky! This chunky monkey came to Woodford Humane looking for his second chance after his human passed away. If you are looking for a dog who is out of the puppy stage but not yet to lazy senior, Rocky could be the perfect fit for you! While it would benefit him to lose a few pounds (to help his joints as he gets older) we don't suspect he'll want to be running any marathons. Rocky will be quite content to snuggle up on the couch after a good walk or a jaunt around the backyard. We pulled Hopper (aka Hops) from a Kentucky shelter on 12/31/25 to save him from euthanasia He’s an 11 month old tripod puppy that is super friendly and loves to play. He is still working on basic obedience, but has no issues taking his toy to a dog bed or laying on the couch next to you to chew it. He had his leg removed in November 2025, so he does get a little fatigued as he’s learning to walk and run on 3 legs, but it doesn’t keep him from playing with other dogs or running circles in the yard. He also has a lot of other great qualities, including: ✅ house trained ✅ crate trained ✅ cat friendly ✅ dog friendly (male and female) ✅ people friendly/older children (ages 10+) ✅ no resource guarding ✅ loves attention and giving kisses ✅ leash manners with easy corrections We do ask that he goes to a home without small children as he is easily excited and still learning manners. Hopper is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.

Meet Newton! He is slowly going from Fig Newton to Sir Newton with his amazing Glow up! He is around 10 months and truly awesome! He loves people and all the other pups he has met he has made instant friends! He loves to play, even with cats which my cats aren’t so keen on so slower introducing is key. He enjoys car rides, couch time, and toys. A massive toy collector! 😆 Despite his rough start in life with being left to fend for himself and growing with a broken leg, he is a lovely boy! He doesn’t mind sharing toys and is very submissive. He also enjoys carrying his toys around hoarding them in one area. He is crate trained and has been doing fabulous with his house training. We are working on leash training and to not get overly excited looking at things on walks. His bum leg doesn’t stop him from doing anything. He’s still gives you hugs, can jump on the couch or bed and even a fence if it’s low enough (like 4ft). So a tall fence is required for him.
