Story
Galahad is a big goofy boxer/rottweiler mix who's had it rough. He has been bounced around quite a bit and has lived alone in horrible conditions for the last few months. He is understandably overwhelmed right now but he's settling in quickly! He loves other dogs and is very gentle but doesn't have a clue how to play. He tries really hard though! He's a sweet guy who loves to lean in close, and would love a home with someone looking for a loyal friend to snuggle with!Galahad was recently adopted and returned when they decided their resident dog wasn't ready for a friend. They said that he could use a little work on house training, but is otherwise a perfect dog! He did great with their kids and would do well with a dog that will tolerate his youthful energy!

Story
Make sure you let us know you saw Bruno on Adopt-a-pet.*In a foster home, call for meet/greet* Talk about a lug head, this big guy was found as a stray by a vet tech who tried to find his owner. With no luck he ended up at the shelter. Bruno quickly showed us what a ham he is, he's quite the crooner too! Bruno does bark to get your attention and when he's excited. This smart pup knows sit, shake, down, he comes when called, enjoys walks (he's strong), loves to romp around the yard, loves to "fish" out of the pool, and has done well with the canine friends he's met, he will not share toys and shows some possessiveness of them. Bruno is a big boy, with a big heart, he loves everyone. We say no small children due to his size and tendency to chew up toys. If you've been looking for a a big pup that doesn't require a lot of work make sure to visit with Bruno Mars!

Story
Hi my name is Royalty! I am a shy kind of dog who is looking for a patient owner who is willing to give me time to adjust and open up in my new home. Once I get more comfortable, I will come out of my shell and start to show more of my true personality. If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out an adoption survey online or in the shelter. Royalty has heartworm which means that this dog has parasitic worms in the right ventricle of the heart and nearby blood vessels. Heartworm is transmitted from one dog to another by mosquitoes and can be easily prevented using monthly heartworm preventative, but once the disease is contracted the treatment process can be quite intensive. Royalty will need to remain sedentary with minimal activity during the treatment process to ensure a healthy recovery. There is additional information on heartworm disease and treatment available at our Adoption Desk.

Story
Much like Anakin Skywalker, the force is strong with me. For real....I am a beefcake! Don't worry, I have not gone to the dark side, a lot of my beefcakiness is put to use holding my bed down. But anyone who is foolish enough to underestimate my strength and challenge me to a tug game will get a taste of the true chosen one! I am a fun-loving good boy; but it is fair to say there is a bit of puppy escapade inside me at times. Practicing the righteous ways of the Jedi has been an amazing pastime for me to keep me on the light side. I love going for walks through the galaxy (really, it's been the scenic grounds at MAS, but a guy can dream right?). With continued Padawan training from an Obi-Wan Kenobi of my own, we can harness the force to positive outlets for me! Which honestly, I am so treat and reward motivated that with consistency, I am sure I could be a Jedi in no time! I am a fairly sociable guy, I have made some canine friends here at MAS, and when I met a cat I was more interested in playing with my rope toy than befriending it. "The biggest problem in the universe is no one helps each other." - Anakin (Star Wars: The Phantom Menace) If you would like to help Anakin by giving him a forever home, submit your adoption application to the website below! DOB: 3/2/2022 For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas. Please fill out our online adoption survey at www.mackenzies.info/adopt/adoption-survey-application/

Story
At Christmas time, holiday tinsel is one of the best ways to spruce up your home with some cheer and festivity; but wouldn't it be great to have some of that same tinsel cheer for the whole year? I'm pretty sure that's where I got the name, because that's exactly what I do! I think it's pretty safe to say we all love the gifting aspect of the holiday season, and I am no exception. As you can see from the video, I love toys! Personally, my favorite aspect of every day, is quality time spent together. I am full of that "in front of the fireplace" warmth that is the highlight of the season...or really any season. Snuggling in the laps of all my friends, giving kisses, joy, and laughs every day of the year would be a dream come true! While I can appreciate some kitty-time snuggles, I am much more apt to be in my person's lap cuddling, but I am happy to share a home with a feline friend. I would be happiest in a home with older children that can handle my occasional puppy-like playstyle (that...and I can be a little vocal and pushy about my need for attention sometimes). I would love to have a doggy playmate, but I do need proper introductions with dogs, as I am dog selective. Being dog selective means that I have made several canine friends, but much like humans, I don't care to be friends with every dog I meet. Any potential fur siblings will get the chance to meet me for a play date before I go home, to make sure we get along as well as ribbons and bows! If you would like a little bit of every-day Christmas magic in your home, submit an adoption application to the website below, and I promise to decorate your heart and home with all my love! DOB: 2/6/2020 For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas. Please fill out our online adoption survey at www.mackenzies.info/adopt/adoption-survey-application/
