Story
Galahad is a big goofy boxer/rottweiler mix who's had it rough. He has been bounced around quite a bit and has lived alone in horrible conditions for the last few months. He is understandably overwhelmed right now but he's settling in quickly! He loves other dogs and is very gentle but doesn't have a clue how to play. He tries really hard though! He's a sweet guy who loves to lean in close and is very gentle when he does jump up to say hello (he's pretty good about keeping his feet on the floor). He would love a home with someone looking for a loyal friend to snuggle with!

Story
Gender: Male Age: 2 years (aprrox.) Breed/Color: Boxer-Brindle Location: Howell, MI This is Barley, he had a fairly rough start to life but we like to stick in the present! Barley came to his foster extremely malnourished and has since put on a healthy amount of weight. With that weight he has gained a ton of energy! He is going to be that adorable compact Boxer, weighing only about 50lbs max. Barley will be a great fit for an active home, he loves to work and his fosters are sponsoring his training! He is crate trained, does well at the vet and groomers and overall is just such a love bug! Has done well with dogs, kids and cats. He came in not housebroken, but is 99% there already! To adopt an animal from our sanctuary, the first step is to submit an application. *Please note we adopt within the state of MICHIGAN ONLY* The process takes a few weeks. It involves vet and personal reference checks and interview of applicant. There are no exceptions … Please remember that we are all volunteers and it may take a week or so after we receive your application to be contacted. Sometimes several people may be interested in the same pet, so please remember that not every animal is right for every home. To ensure a healthy and happy placement for our pets and their new families, we take the time to evaluate each animal’s temperament and try to match the right animal to the right family. OUR ADOPTION GUIDELINES All fees are subject to change without notice. Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt nor does it guarantee the animal will be adopted to you. We do not work on a first come first serve basis. We collect applications and make our best determination on where we think the animal would thrive the best. We have the right to deny any applicant without explanation, and the decision is final. Very rarely do we get written documentation of an animal’s age and breed. We do not guarantee these, we work with professionals to help make the best determination. All of our foster homes follow a 30 Day Stay policy and do not make ANY exceptions. This policy requires every animal who comes into foster care, to stay in foster care for a minimum of 30 day before going to their forever home. Story
Much like Anakin Skywalker, the force is strong with me. For real....I am a beefcake! Don't worry, I have not gone to the dark side, a lot of my beefcakiness is put to use holding my bed down. But anyone who is foolish enough to underestimate my strength and challenge me to a tug game will get a taste of the true chosen one! I am a fun-loving good boy; but it is fair to say there is a bit of puppy escapade inside me at times. Practicing the righteous ways of the Jedi has been an amazing pastime for me to keep me on the light side. I love going for walks through the galaxy (really, it's been the scenic grounds at MAS, but a guy can dream right?). With continued Padawan training from an Obi-Wan Kenobi of my own, we can harness the force to positive outlets for me! Which honestly, I am so treat and reward motivated that with consistency, I am sure I could be a Jedi in no time! I am a fairly sociable guy, I have made some canine friends here at MAS, and when I met a cat I was more interested in playing with my rope toy than befriending it. "The biggest problem in the universe is no one helps each other." - Anakin (Star Wars: The Phantom Menace) If you would like to help Anakin by giving him a forever home, submit your adoption application to the website below! DOB: 3/2/2022 For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas. Please fill out our online adoption survey at www.mackenzies.info/adopt/adoption-survey-application/
