He is 4 years old and was a very loved dog who had lived in his home his whole life. His owners were forced to relocate and couldn't find an affordable place that would accept dogs like him. Quest is a mix of boxer, Doberman, and pit bull, and he is big and strong. He has been fully vetted and microchipped and his fee is $150. Quest did live with his canine sibling in his home and was fine. They grew up together. We do think that he'd prefer to be the only dog in a home right now. No smaller animals for this moose. He's looking for an adult only home. Teens are fine. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Rocco came to us from Up North where he had been living in a homeless encampment and somehow ended up in impound scheduled for euthanasia when one of our partners rescued him. He is the sweetest boxer/pug? mix you will ever want to meet. Born October 2023 he is a lover of all people he meets, but is best if his new home is cat-free. He has been around other dogs, rides perfectly in a vehicle and is simply a joy to know. He is dreaming of a new Home for the Holdays! All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed. If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Bree is a 10-year-old, female, pure bred Boxer. She is in the process of learning how to be a dog. She was rescued from a puppy mill and had never been out of a cage, so everything was new to her: grass, stairs, carpet, couch, house, etc. However, Bree is loving her new freedom and is making great strides every day. She loves other dogs, cats, people, and Pup cups! Bree is very smart and loving. She is almost fully potty trained and learned in only 2 weeks. Bree is scared of outside noises, such as cars going by on the road, so we haven't taken her for a walk down the road yet. She walks fine around our yard on a leash, but if there's a loud noise, she will try to hide. Bree is a sweet heart who is loving her new life. She is very friendly but still a little skittish. Loud noises and unfamiliar items startle her. She knows how to use the doggy door at her foster home and prefers to go outside with the other dogs rather than by herself. She gets along with all dogs of all sizes and will benefit from being in a home with other dogs that will show her the ropes and help her be the confident girl she deserves to be. We do know a little about his history and know that he's around a year old and Rocky is his real name. He's a little shy at first but warms up quickly and is loving and playful. He has been vet checked, neutered, and microchipped and his fee is $150. Rocky is a young dog who has had a little basic training. He needs a home that can provide him with the exercise he requires. He did live with kids in his previous home. We do think he could do okay with a female dog with proper intros. We have no way of knowing about cats. He really is a honey! She is compact and muscular, and almost panther like. Sasha is a nice girl who has had some basic training. She has been vet checked and spayed and her fee is $150.
