Meet Louie! Louie is a chilled, sweet 5-year-old gentleman who is looking for a new loving home after the passing of his elderly family. While this change was no fault of his own, Louie has handled it with grace and continues to be the affectionate, easygoing companion he has always been. Louie weighs about 55 lbs and is the definition of laid-back. He loves lounging on the couch, soaking up companionship, and quietly being part of the household. He is incredibly sweet-natured and well-mannered. Louie has a sister, Marley, whom he is bonded with and would be thrilled to be adopted alongside. If that is not possible, Louie would do well in a home with another friendly dog to provide comfort and companionship. He gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and people of all ages. Louie has been well cared for—he is neutered and up to date on vaccines. We would love to work with a veteran or senior that just needs a loyal, easy companion. Meatball was surrendered to the shelter by his owner (no fault of his own). Determined he has heartworms and he's undergoing treatment now. His final treatment will be in late January 2026, and if test results come back clear--he'll be available for adoption in February 2026. Meatball is 4.5 years old and weighs 40 lbs. He loves people and even cats! However, he can be selective with dogs--so a meet-and-greet would be required with any dog in your home, or he'd do best as the "only" dog in the home.
