Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Aggie is a joyful, wiggly girl who will make you feel like the most important person in the world. With her always-wagging tail and eager-to-please personality, she’s your personal fan girl, ready to shower you with love and excitement. This sweet, fast little rocket could thrive in dog sports like fast CAT or agility but has a medium energy level—ready for play and exploration, then happy to settle as a couch hippo when it’s time to relax. Dog-friendly and a bit goofy around awkward pups, Aggie enjoys playing with her foster sisters and boyfriends, like Toby and the neighbor’s dogs. She’s making great progress on potty training and house manners, proving her intelligence and adaptability. Whether you’re looking for a yardwork buddy, a loyal companion, or a dog with the potential to earn ribbons, Aggie might be the perfect fit for your family. Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. We try to post videos for each pet so you can really get to know them. Charlie is a WARRIOR!  Found on the street with a broken pelvis, unable to walk and left to perish.  She was rescued, taken in and received amazing vet care in Alabama.  She still has all her sweetness and loves people and dogs. This beautiful brindle coat and perfect medium size will fit into any family and shower you with affection. Although not a senior, we love helping the underdogs with an amazing will to live and enjoy life!June 28, 2025, 8:34 am

Story
If you would like to apply to take CANELA SIMONE/courtesy post home, click the link next to their picture, or Visit our website at Www.godogsgorescue.org and fill out an application! We look forward to hearing from you. Canela Simone is a female spayed Boxer/Pitty Mix. Her doctor estimated her birthday as 3/2021 based on her size and dentition at her first few appointments. She currently lives in Western Massachusetts as a single pup with me. She is good with people, although sometimes it can take her a moment to warm up to groups that include tall men. She is very excitable when she meets new people and can forget her manners and try to jump up. She is very responsive to "four on the floor"/redirection with treats. She loves spending time with the neighbors' kids (ranging in age from 3 - 10), and does better with not jumping when around smaller humans. She is very partial to face kisses. She has not been around very many cats. The few cats she's spent time with have been for brief periods and she is too interested in them. She acts the same way with stray cats as she does with squirrels and birds, so I do not and would not trust her to live with cats. She has spent a lot of time around other dogs and enjoys them. Generally, she gets along better with male dogs that are her age and younger. She's been attacked at the dog park by two separate female dogs. So, we no longer go to the dog park and she no longer spends time with female dogs (with exceptions for female dogs with owners that I know well). When she is around male dogs she does well and is incredibly playful. She is very rambunctious and likes to roughhouse, so she would do well either as an only dog with a select group of friends or in a house with another young dog that really likes to play. I added two pictures with some of her dog friends. Canela has a few chronic illnesses (skin allergies, IBD, an immune disorder) that are being well managed by her primary vet and her internal medicine specialist. She's very much a happy, healthy girl - as long as she takes her meds and eats her prescription diet. If she eats too many foods/treats that aren't prescribed, she'll have GI issues. If she stops her meds, she'll deal with skin itching and irritation. Additionally, without her meds she'll have episodes of high fevers and lethargy. She hasn't had a full episode in almost 2 years, since she started taking Prednisone. Her only mini episode happened when we tried to taper her down to see if she could handle a lower dose; she could not. She was back to normal within hours of resuming her normal dose and she's been just fine since. She gets her oral medications mixed directly into her food (and eats with no complaints). She also receives one subcutaneous injection a week (this is done at home while she's eating, and she's perfect for it).

Mildred came to us from a crowded shelter in the South, and she hasn’t looked back since. She’s embraced every moment of her new beginning with tail wags, curiosity, and pure puppy joy. Mildred is all heart—full of wiggles, wonder, and a contagious enthusiasm that makes every day a little brighter. Whether she’s exploring the backyard like it’s uncharted territory or bouncing from toy to toy with joyful abandon, Mildred approaches life like the grand adventure it is. She’s smart, spunky, and always up for fun—be it a hike, a game of fetch, or a walk around the neighborhood to sniff out all the latest scents. She’s still learning the ropes, so she’ll thrive with someone who can offer guidance, patience, and continued training. What she may lack in polish, she more than makes up for in love, energy, and loyalty. If you're ready to fill your life with laughs, love, and a little mischief, Mildred’s ready to be your new best friend.
