Tizzy was found as a stray extremely under weight and in distress buy is recovering well at the shelter. She is energetic and loves to go for her walks, but is anxious to get into a stable loving home for her life so far has been difficult. In spite she is friendly and affectionate.

Story
We have had Oscar since he was a small puppy, my daughter rescued him from someone unable to care well for him. Although he is extremely loyal and loving, he also has some bad behaviors such as the desire to kill small animals and protect the property from other male dogs to the point of blood shed. I have done my best to keep him fenced in the property but inevitably he escapes or someone doesn't close a door or gate. This saga has been going on for many years and living in a neighborhood with many other pets it proved a problem that I just can't stay on top of to the level warranted. He loves to hike, eat, sleep and snuggle. Someone that could get him on the trail several times a week or has a large tract of land for him to run and explore without threatening other lives would be perfect. His recall off leash is mostly good but would take some bonding to rebuild.

Thor is the kind of gentleman who doesn’t need to be loud to steal the spotlight. He’s calm, incredibly sweet, and happiest when he’s right by your side soaking up head rubs. He takes treats like royalty (so polite!), rarely barks, and has already won over an entire pet store just by being his handsome, well-mannered self.He’s settling into home life more each day — showing he is potty trained, walking nicely on leash (he just prefers to be extra close to his person), and tolerating baths with quiet dignity. Crates are acceptable with proper snack negotiations, and while cars and stairs aren’t his favorite inventions, he handles life with gentle grace. Thor is ready to trade shelter life for a soft bed, steady love, and a forever family to adore. Thor is in foster care email acsoutreach@bernco.gov to meet him!
