Story
Come meet Maggie at Heritage Animal Hospital; upon arrival she will shake your hand, give you a sweet hug or provide you some much needed slobbery kisses. Once the initial introductions are completed, a good ole belly rub will do the trick.  Speaking of tricks, Maggie already knows things like SIT and STAY. Smart and sweet girl!  She is well mannered and good protector. Maggie wants nothing more than a person to love her unconditionally and she will do it in return!   Look at that SMILE; She absolutely LOVES people!  She does needs to be an only dog but that isn't a big thing.  She gets along ok with those other furry friends called felines.  So if you have a dog savvy cat, Maggie would like to meet you!  She is a fun loving, roll in the grass, life of the party, cuddle bug girl who knows a good thing when she sees it!   Her estimated age is 7 years old. So you know you skip all the craziness of puppyhood, like crate training, potty training, chewing on everything, and you get a the liviliness without all the puppy training.   Note: Courtesy post and if interested in giving this girl a loving and happy home or want more info on Maggie, contact Heritage Animal Hospital at 919-435-1978.  She has been with HAH for over a year and really wants to find a loving, caring and special family to call HER OWN! ##1056850##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
DOB is 09/22/2021.  She is a boxer mix, and 100% adorable.  MJ is a petite gal with a lot of love to give. She LOVES to go on sniffaris in quiet places, play tug-o-war with her human or dog friends, loves chasing the flirt pole (like a cat toy but for dogs), and snuggling with her humans. This girl loves snuggles and will take whatever she can get! She is fostered with multiple other dogs and requires a confident fur friend to help her navigate the world that she can find a bit scary and overwhelming.  MJ is nervous and barky when sees dogs and people when she is on leash. She is fearful, and is unable to flee, so she barks and acts tough hoping that the scary things will go away. She is currently in training to help her understand that the things she perceives as scary aren’t going to hurt her, and she is making good progress! She would do best in a freestanding home and a quiet neighborhood. A fenced in backyard would be great, but in order for her to live her best life she needs a family/owner that will continue taking her out and helping her overcome her fears. She does well meeting new people once they have come into the house and are sitting down. I always give guests that want to meet her a handful of cookies and ask them to toss the cookies to her. MJ is fostered by her trainer. Her trainer is offering 3 free training sessions to her adoptive family so her family can learn about her needs and how to continue her training at home.    As part of MJ's $250 adoption fee, she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet girl, you can email Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt MJ, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org ##1448773##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
(DOB 3/20/2023).  Due to Spice's young age, she has not yet been spayed.  For this reason, we are only considering local placement (within 1 hour drive time of Wake Forest NC).   Do you like Sugar or Spice? Let me introduce you to Sassy Spice. She can be pretty Spicey when it comes to her food, but she is also the best cuddler. She is very curious and brave; she mastered the stairs on her own and had no fear. She gets along really well with all of the male dogs in her foster home and lets them know she may still be little but she's mighty!   Since she is young, she will need another dog helping to show her the ropes. She loves her furry siblings so much!! So a family with a dog(s), that could match her puppy energy level and play with her is really what this Spice girl is looking for as well as a family that is ready to spend a good amount of time every day playing and engaging Spice in different activities. She wants a happy family where she can get lots of pets, belly rubs and attention! Even though she is spicey, she really is a sweet girl with a great personality. She is definitely and the curious, feisty and lots of energy age!   Her new family will need to be patient and she learns potty training, loose leash walking and other commands that help Spice grow up into a good girl and not an unruley Spice girl. We always encourage consistent, positive reinforcement only training. Puppies a super cute, lots of fun, but also need proper boundaries to establish good manners as they grow into a young adult.    If you are an on-the-go kind of person/family, Spice loves car rides! She would be a great traveling companion. She definitely does not want to sit at home all day while her whole family is off at school or work. She wants someone home a good amount of the time.   This little Spice girl is already learning crate training. She typically will fall asleep on the couch with her foster family. When the family goes to bed, Spice goes in her crate with her sister.   As part of Spice's $325 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. In addition to the adoption fee, a $100 spay/neuter deposit and puppy spay/neuter agreement will also be required. The deposit will be returned once the puppy is altered.  If you have questions about this sweet little girl, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Spice, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##1718268##

Story
Hi, my name is Harriett! Pleased to meet you! I am a fun loving girl! I love playing with my foster siblings, we have such a great time together. We run around in the yard, then find a nice spot in the sunshine for a good nap.  My foster family tells me that I'm doing so well with my training - I know sit, here, and when to go in my crate.  I also ride nicely in the car and walk well on the leash! I love exploring and playing. I am a cute little lady who is looking for the perfect home. Please apply to meet me today! ##1332413##
