Story
DOB 09/22/2021. This girl loves snuggles more than any other dog her foster mom has met, and will find a way to touch you if it’s possible! Mary Jane says, “If I fits ,I sits!” If you are looking for a 40 lb lapdog that is dog friendly and ohhh so cuddly, this young gal may be paw-fect for you. Mary Jane is a petite gal with a lot of love to give!!   Mary Jane is fostered with multiple other dogs. She needs a quiet, single family home with a confident fur friend to help her navigate the world. A home with fenced in yard and another dog to play with is what Mary Jane is looking for!! She LOVES to go on sniffaris in quiet places and to play tug-o-war with her human or dog friends.  No kitties please just not her jam.   In order for Mary Jane to continue making progress with her training, she needs a family/owner that will continue taking her out and continue to build her confidence in her new world. Mary Jane is fostered by her trainer. Her trainer is offering 3 free training sessions to her adoptive family so her family can continue her positive training at home.   She is a boxer mix, and 100% adorable. Mary Jane says she ready to meet her awesome fur-ever family and whoever adopts her, won't ever regret it!   As part of Mary Jane's $250 adoption fee, she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet girl, you can email Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Mary Jane, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org ##1448773##

Story
Loki is a great dog and I have been so torn with the decision to rehome him but it may be what's best for him. I am moving up north where there are more size restrictions on pets when looking for housing. I also got him with my partner at the time and she sadly passed away and I got left with all the animals we shared. We welcomed him into our home when he was 10 weeks old from the SPCA. & is now just over 2 years old. He loves to play and is a medium to higher-energy type of dog. He is a smart dog and sometimes goofy. He knows to sit, down, stay, spin, paw/shake, etc. He is very food-motivated. he stays in the crate when I am at work and doesn't bark when I get home. He sometimes thinks he's the neighborhood watch and may bark 1 or 2 times to alert you he heard a noise. he can be calmed with nature sounds. Loki would be great in a home with a yard or someone who wants a workout buddy for runs or likes to take longer walks. He sometimes chases my cat so be cautious if you have one.

Story
Reeve is a sweet, older gal who is working on getting her outside to be as beautiful as the inside!! She may look grumpy, however, Reeve is incredibly sweet!! Her little nubby tail is constantly wagging. Reeve is calm, well-mannered, and goes with the flow. She sleeps all night in her crate and has had no accidents in the house. She enjoys short walks around the neighborhood and never pulls on her leash. She hadn't met a meal she didn't like yet! She sits patiently for treats and shows no food aggression. Reeve enjoys snuggling on the couch and is fairly low energy. She currently shares the household with two dogs and two cats. No aggression with any! Reeve doesn't really seem to show any interest in other animals so she would do fine as an only dog. Reeve has been so sweet with everyone she has met, but a home with older children would be best, due to her age and energy level.

Story
Willow was rescued from being outside in the cold. We have gotten her shots and she is potty trained. She’s very sweet and loves playing with kids has a lot of energy. She was recently hit by a car and has a fractured foot. Unfortunately, we have some unexpected expenses so we cannot cover this to prevent her from getting hit by another car so I’m trying to rehome her.
