Story
Meet Emily 🐾 — the bold, bright-eyed adventurer who lights up every room she walks into. With a confident, playful spirit and natural big-sister energy (she's nearly twice the size of her little brother, and carries herself like she knows it), Emily is the kind of pup who makes life more fun. She's medium energy, loves to play, and will walk straight up to greet any human she meets — no warm-up needed. She's already sharing a home peacefully with cats, rabbits, and chickens, so she's no stranger to a full house. Potty training has been a breeze — she picked up the routine quickly, has very few accidents, and will hold it to go outside like a pro. She sleeps through the night crate trained and ready to rest after a late outing around 10:30 pm until about 6 am. Emily is ready to be your confident, loving, endlessly fun companion. Story
Meet Louis 🐾 — a laid-back, sweet-natured pup with a calm presence that instantly puts you at ease. Louis has a gentle, easygoing personality and loves spending time close to his people. He's on the quieter side and takes things at his own pace, but warms up beautifully once he feels comfortable. Potty training has gone remarkably well — Louis caught on to the routine fast, rarely has accidents indoors, and knows to hold it until he's outside. He's crate trained and sleeps soundly through the night. If you're looking for a calm, loving companion who is happy just to be near you, Louis is your guy. Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Queenie has had a tough life, being overbred and likely caged. She is extremely affectionate and her favorite spot is to be a snuggly decorative pillow leaning on you, nuzzling her head into yours - she cannot get enough. She would be a wonderful support/comfort animal with her hands on affection. Queenie gets along with the other fosters in the home, though she does exhibit some intolerance to female dogs in which case she pins them on their backs until they behave. This may be a result of her being a mother. She likes to walk and is crate trained, and E collar trained. She doesn’t mind being alone in my bedroom, which is her preferred space. She is extremely sweet with all humans, approaching them calmly, looking for love, with her little nubby tail going like an allegro metronome. Queenie is available and is sponsored for foster to adoption. Telling me this loving lady. You won't be disappointed.

Story
My name is Sheba and I came to the shelter when my previous owner could no longer care for me. I arrived to the shelter pretty underweight but with proper diet and some TLC I am doing much better! I have some broken teeth, and some possible arthritis (common in older dogs) - but I don`t let this get me down! Like many dogs in NC, I am currently heartworm positive, but don`t worry - OCAS will cover the cost of my treatment! Ask the front for more information!Foster insights on Sheba:`We took Sheba for 2 storms (11 days). Sheba is a friendly, playful dog. She loves running around our backyard. She loves attention and especially loves if people give her pats and rubs. She acts like a cat sometimes by trying to rub up against us and other objects like a couch as if she were a cat. Even though she likes attention she is happy to stay in her area of our house without adults for 4 hours at a time. She did fine having a bath. We provided a crate for her, but she only went in there to get a pillow and bring it out for herself. She took her medicine fine with the aid of greenies pill pockets (we never tried without them). Sheba seems like such a happy, LOVING dog and can be playful, but also independent and can sit or rest on her bed for long periods of time.``She is super friendly and is super well behaved, no jumping or barking at all, just wants to be loved. a lot of energy for her age but overall a normal amount of energy and joy. She is just the sweetest and loved to do anything with people.`

Story
Hi, I`m Tiger! I`m a sweet older guy. Per my previous owner, I am loving and good with children. I would be best in a home with no cats or small dogs.My adoption fee has been fully sponsored.Adopt me and pay $0.00!!!INSIGHTS FROM MY ADVENTURE BUDDIES:`Tiger is very energetic for a 7-year old. He is very sweet and was great with the children he encountered, as well as with all of the people he met. He seemed smart and very treat motivated, immediately sitting when treats were shown to him. We played with Tiger in our fenced backyard. He loved doing zoomies and running around playfully. We also walked him in the woods and sat outside while he chewed on toys. He is loving and playful, but also is able to lay down and chill. He absolutely LOVED chewing the stuffing out of the toys we gave him.``Tiger is an absolute sweetheart with a heart full of love and a personality that’s impossible not to fall for. I had the pleasure of spending time with him recently, and he truly is a special dog.Tiger is incredibly smart, he already knows how to sit and shake. He seems totally house-trained and walks like a dream on a leash, making him the perfect companion for strolls around the neighborhood or quiet weekend hikes. One of Tiger’s best qualities is how affectionate he is. He loves to be pet and snuggled, and he makes it clear that he just wants to love and be loved in return. He’s also super friendly with new people, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and warm eyes.`

Story
Meet Dolly 🤍
Dolly is a young & energetic 100% pocket pittie (don’t worry, we won’t charge extra for that). She came to us pregnant, raised seven perfect puppies (two of which competed in this year’s Puppy Bowl!), and now it’s her turn to find her forever home. 💞 Personality:
Dolly adores people — and she knows they adore her right back. Every time she spots a stranger her whole backend wags as she begs for a little affection. While she absolutely loves meeting all types of people, Dolly is seeking a home with adults or older teens. 🛋️ Favorite Activities
: Cuddling is non-negotiable. Dolly and her foster mom have nightly couch races to see who can claim the best snuggle spot first. When she’s not cuddling, she loves watching TV (Heated Rivalry is her current fave) and even FaceTiming her foster mom when she’s away. 🐾 Playtime
: She’s great on walks and loves exploring, but her dream come true is a yard to run and romp around in and to go on adventures outside the home and to play fetch and other games. A fenced yard isn’t required but would make her very happy! After playtime, she’s all about nap time. 🐶 Dog-Friendly
: Dolly can be a little shy around other dogs when on walks (she likes to just pause the walk as she watches them walk by), but gets along great with her foster siblings and loves to play hard with them (one of whom is one of her own pups!). She would thrive as an only dog or with a well-matched companion — ideally a confident, stable young dog who communicates appropriately and enjoys playtime. Dolly hasn’t been cat tested. 🏠 Home Manners
: Dolly is crate-trained, quiet, and well-behaved indoors. Even when she has to hang out in another room away from her foster siblings, she doesn’t bark or whine — just gives a very convincing pout face. 💤 Fun Facts
: She snores (adorably), gives the sweetest little “Roo roo!” greeting when she’s excited, and might be the most polite TV-watching couch potato you’ll ever meet. 💖 Ready to Adopt?
If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and endlessly charming companion, Dolly might just be your perfect match.
