Story
Brief Liam is a dapper dude with a head as round and smooth as a honeydew melon and eyes like golden quarters. He is a boxer and Staffordshire terrier mix that has been with us the past year. Liam is looking for another lucky person/family for mutually beneficial, loving companionship. Liam is a cool dog if he had to be summarized in one word. He’s obedient to and deferential to human instruction. He loves to snuggle and cuddle especially on the couch and in bed. He loves a walk/bursts of trotting and also rides in the car. He is E collar trained and is also generally obedient off leash. He's a favorite wherever he goes. Liam is a confident boy when meeting other dogs. He gets along with other non-reactive dogs. He has a high prey drive. Liam has an adaptable nature and willll likely do well in most environments. He could be a solo dog or would do well with another non-reactive dog in the home - especially a female one. Foster to adopt sponsored. Come and meet LIAM!

Story
Queenie has had a tough life, being overbred and likely caged. She is extremely affectionate and her favorite spot is to be a snuggly decorative pillow leaning on you, nuzzling her head into yours - she cannot get enough. She would be a wonderful support/comfort animal with her hands on affection. Queenie gets along with the other fosters in the home, though she does exhibit some intolerance to female dogs in which case she pins them on their backs until they behave. This may be a result of her being a mother. She likes to walk and is crate trained, and E collar trained. She doesn’t mind being alone in my bedroom, which is her preferred space. She is extremely sweet with all humans, approaching them calmly, looking for love, with her little nubby tail going like an allegro metronome. Queenie is available and is sponsored for foster to adoption. Telling me this loving lady. You won't be disappointed.

It is unknown how I might behave around cats. I`ll need slow, monitored introductions to new people or pets in a home. Hope enjoys getting outside and exploring, but she’s just as content lounging and watching the world go by. One thing to note, Hope is not a fan of cats, so she’s looking for a feline-free home. This pup is eligible for our Test the Couch program — a 7-day trial adoption to see if your home (and your couch) is the perfect fit. Learn more  https://pipsrescue.org/test-the-couch/ Name / Breed / Age: Iris, Boxer mix, 5 yrs old Personality Traits: The Velcro Pup, Loveable, Quiet, The Old Soul Likes / Dislikes: Loves to be with her person. No major dislikes yet! Health and behavior history:  Up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and will be spayed in the coming weeks. Clean bill of health from the PIPs Vet! Meet Iris, a sweet, snuggly, and old soul who is ready to retire into her dream home. She’s all about the simple pleasures in life like leisurely walks, expert level naps, and maximum coziness. Iris is affectionate, loyal, and deeply devoted to her person. She lives for attention, couch cuddles, and strategically placing herself at your feet while you work so you never forget she’s there. She is an excellent car ride companion and enjoys getting out for adventures, though she can occasionally put a little extra enthusiasm into the leash. At home, she is a professional snoozer and odds are high you will find her exactly where you left her, usually on the couch. When it comes to other dogs, Iris knows what she likes. She requires slow, thoughtful introductions and prefers older, neutral males or being your one and only. Dominant female dogs need not apply. She can coexist with a younger neutral female with management, but in her heart she prefers calm, middle aged or senior companions. Puppies are tolerated in short doses, but she has officially entered her “get off my lawn” era and has no interest in raising the neighborhood hooligans. Because Iris is a bit older and sometimes likes her personal space respected, a home with kids over 10 is recommended. She is sweet and loving, but sore joints and grabby hands are not her idea of a good time. Iris is firmly anti crate and would like that known. She does just fine left out or in a dog safe room. Her biggest temptations include bathroom trash cans, unattended dirty laundry, and food left on low tables. Counters and dining tables are safe. She will not chew toys, Legos, or stuffed animals. Her true hobbies are napping and quietly supervising household activities. She comes with some endearing quirks. A bag of dog food left on the floor is suspicious and will be guarded. Put that same food in a bin and all is right with the world. At night, Iris sometimes hears very important things, possibly a squirrel sneezing or a leaf thinking too loudly, and feels the need to report it. A box fan or white noise machine helps her sleep peacefully. Iris tolerates baths and nail trims like a champ, though she can be a little sensitive about her ears. She is quirky, loving, loyal, and bonds deeply with her people. Iris is looking for a calm, understanding home that appreciates a seasoned dog with opinions, boundaries, and a whole lot of love to give. If you are searching for a devoted companion who wants nothing more than to nap near you, supervise your life, and be adored in return, Iris might just be your girl. ##2285665##

Story
Meet Chip — a 1-year-old Boxer/Pit Mix weighing 42 lbs, full of energy, charm, and love! Quick Facts: Name: Chip Breed: Boxer/Pitbull Mix Age: 1 year old Weight: 42 lbs. House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: No (unless they really like to be chased!) Good with Kids: Yes (prefer school-aged kids who like to run and play) Energy Level: Medium to High Fence Required: No (he is good on a leash) About Chip’s Breed: Our best guess is that Chip is a Boxer/Pitbull mix. The Boxer/Pitbull mix, often called a Bullboxer Pit, is a strong, energetic, and affectionate hybrid breed. They combine the loyalty and protective instincts of the Pitbull with the playful, athletic nature of the Boxer, making them excellent companions for active families. These dogs are typically medium to large in size (around 50–80 lbs) and thrive in homes where they receive consistent training, early socialization, and plenty of exercise. They are known to be loving, loyal, and good with children, but because of their energy and strength, they do best with experienced owners who can provide structure and outlets for play. An ideal home for a Boxer/Pitbull mix is one with space to run, an active lifestyle, and a family ready to give them both affection and guidance. All About Chip: Chip is “all boy” with a playful spirit and an infectious little smile that wins hearts everywhere he goes! Despite a rough start to life, his endearing nature shines through—he’s potty trained, crate trained, and has excellent house manners. He can be trusted uncrated when you’re away and is very polite at mealtime, though his love of food means he’ll happily scarf down his own (and anyone else’s) if given the chance! Known as the “social butterfly” of the rescue, Chip loves literally everyone he meets. He’s an enthusiastic playmate with other dogs and great with kids, especially school-aged children who can match his playful energy. Cats, however, aren’t the best fit—Chip can’t quite understand why they don’t want to play chase. On leash, Chip does well and would thrive with an active family ready for adventures like hiking, running, or long walks. He has a more dominant play style and would do best in a home with more submissive and playful dogs for now. He would also do well as a solo pup! While he loves to snuggle and hug, Chip can be what we jokingly refer to as “aggressively affectionate”, sometimes to the point of being overwhelming, but he responds beautifully to food treats and positive reinforcement. Chip’s Highlights: • 42 lbs of playful energy, loves to play hard and smile big • Potty and crate trained, with great house manners • Social butterfly, adores people and dogs alike • Best with school-aged kids, loves active play • Not cat-friendly, he thinks they like to be chased and played with • Adventure-ready, enjoys hiking, running, and walking • Affectionate snuggler, loves hugs and responds well to treats Chip is the bestest, best boy—a loving, playful companion who’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and adventure to his forever family! Comprehensive details are provided in the dog's description. to ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. Story
✨ Meet Star ✨ Star’s story began with heartbreak — her former “family” tried to throw her off a bridge. She was found emaciated, heartworm positive, and still wagging her tail at the shelter staff who saved her. Today, she’s a healthy, hilarious, and deeply cuddly foster pup who wants nothing more than a spot on the couch and the chance to explore her world with confidence. She’s officially finished her heartworm treatment, has completed her spay, and is finally cleared to run, romp, and keep growing. ⭐️ Now that she’s feeling better, we’re seeing some beautiful shifts in her behavior: She’s opening her trust circle even more with familiar people she’s met safely a few times. She’s starting to offer tail wags from a distance to new people — a huge deal for her. She’s able to peacefully coexist in the same room with her foster brother, Wally, during structured on-leash hangouts. And now that she’s fully cleared, we’re excited to slowly build toward more meaningful dog interactions with him and others. At home, she’s still the same polite, crate/house-trained snuggle bug. She settles beautifully in her crate or on her bed in her “kitchen apartment,” rides like a pro in her car crate, and gets very excited for new adventures — especially now that she can actually go on them. With her newfound energy, she’s enjoying: Carefully expanded walks Exploring trails Practicing being around groups of people Play sessions and enrichment that help her confidence bloom Each outing builds her trust a little more. She’s discovering that the world isn’t scary — especially when she has a calm, steady person guiding her. 👑 Star is looking for: • An adult-only, pet-free home • A calm environment (rural/suburban preferred) • An adopter excited to continue her training and confidence-building • People who will grow her world, not shrink it 💛 Our rescue will sponsor handoff sessions with her current trainer to ensure her progress continues seamlessly. Fiercely loyal, deeply goofy, and absolutely ready for her next chapter… Star’s future is bright ✨ DM @wally_the_pit or apply via the link to chat more — her foster mom is always happy to gush about her favorite girl!
