Story
Aren’t lattes always delectable? This Latte is no different - be ready for her to be that comforting warmth you are seeking..even if it is hot outside. This 55‑pound young mix of perhaps some boxer and a wee bit of mastiff, is the perfect canine combination of soothing, loyal, and happiest when she’s right by your side. She’s good with other dogs even if she is a little shy at first. She will be absolutely devoted once she decides you’re her person. Latte is a classic “velcro dog.” She wants to be next to you, on you, leaning into you, or following you from room to room like she’s making sure her world stays centered around her favorite human. She’s intelligent and eager to learn, the kind of girl who thrives when she has a job to do, whether that’s catching a ball, practicing new tricks, or simply being your shadow. With her energy, Latte needs plenty of daily exercise - long walks, hikes, backyard adventures, or any activity that lets her stretch her legs and her mind. She’s likely to form a tight bond with her new family and she’s 100% ready to pour her whole heart into the people she loves. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who wants to be part of your everyday life, Latte is ready to blend right in. **Hiking feedback: "I had the pleasure of leading the pack with Latte! She got along well with the other dogs, and would often check behind to make sure everyone was still together. During breaks, she loved leaning against me for pets and rolling in the grass.

Story
Popsicle is a stunning retriever/boxer mix with deep brindle stripes that look like they were painted on by an artist. He’s a sweet boy with a gentle personality and just full of refreshing charm — the kind of dog who brings a little burst of joy wherever he goes, just like his namesake on a hot summer day. Easy going and fun, Popsicle loves hanging out with other dogs and being outside and is young enough to have lots of puppy fun still without being so young that he is a wild man. A perfect mix he is! At only 38lbs, he is a great medium size young adult that can adapt to his new family setting with ease. *Sleepover feedback: " Popsicle is a sweet boy with an incredibly gentle and agreeable disposition. He loves everyone and everything. He’ll take a moment to observe from a distance, but once he feels comfortable, he’s eager to join in. He’s great with dogs of all sizes, respectful of cats, and curious about birds and squirrels, but doesn't try to chase. Around new things like cars and bikes, he’s cautious but not skittish. He’s a snuggly and affectionate puppy who will bond quickly and make a wonderful companion.

Check out her stunning good looks and tiger stripes! Clara is tearing up the runway at Saving Grace! Thick chested and a solid 50 lbs, this girl is a ready-made athlete ready for anything, as long as she can be close to her favorite people. Clara is a young adult shepherd mix with a giant personality and will do well in an active home where she gets lots of exercise and attention. She stands out in a crowd and will love to join you at your favorite dog-friendly venues. Social and friendly, she gets along well with other dogs and enjoys friends that can match her enthusiasm for playing. As your one and only or as a new member to your pack, Clara is ready for anything. *Sleepover feedback: " Clara is the perfect mix of silly, sweet, and snuggly. She is a sweet, gentle girl who’s sure to keep you entertained with her goofy antics, happy wiggles, and big loving heart. She’s great on leash - steady pace, no pulling. She gets excited when she spots squirrels or bunnies but doesn’t try to chase them. Clara rides well in the car and settlesquickly to watch everything go by. She’s also fully potty trained and had zero accidents. At night, she slept in her dog bed and politely nudged me when she needed a quickbathroom break. Clara loves toys! She adored her unicorn stuffy but her favorite was the automatic rolling ball. She watched little kids playing baseball at the park and stayed calm and curious the whole time. Clara is a fast learner, super affectionate, and loves to snuggle under blankets. **Hiker feedback: " Clara was a very good companion on our hike. She stayed on the trail the entire time and never once pulled to go off-roading. She also enjoyed her time at the beach. If we had a longer leash, she would have loved to go further into the water for more splish-splash time. Several times during the hike, Clara stopped to look back and make sure the rest of her pack was still behind us.

Story
(DOB 11/24/2023) Winston is a happy-go-lucky, fun-loving pup who lives life at full speed and with a huge smile on his face! This active, playful boy is always ready for his next adventure...whatever that may be; a game of fetch with his favorite kid, a splash in the water, or a full-on zoomie session around the yard. If you’re looking for a dog who will keep you laughing and on your toes, Winston is your guy. Winston absolutely thrives on playtime and wants a fur-ever home with another energetic dog to keep him company and help burn off all that playful energy. This smart boy has a silly streak a mile wide; he loves to play “keep away” and will proudly parade his toys around, hoping you’ll join in the chase. He adores kids and does wonderfully with other dogs, happily showing off his goofy, good-natured personality to everyone he meets. (He hasn’t been around cats, so we aren't sure about that, yet.) Winston says YES to all treats. Which makes training a fun and rewarding experience. The good news? Winston already has a great foundation because he’s house trained, crate trained, and walks nicely on a leash. So keep up is daily learning to build a wonderful young, adult dog with amazing manners! Because of his athleticism and enthusiasm, Winston would do best in a home with a fenced (5ft+) yard where he can safely run and play. He can be quite the jumper when he’s feeling determined, so a secure setup and supervision are important to keep him safe and happy. And while Winston is known for his high-energy antics, he does have a softer side too. Every now and then, he’ll slow things down, plop right on top of you, and shower you with kisses and paw taps just to remind you how much he loves you. It’s the perfect balance of spunky and sweet. If you are ready for the very best of both worlds, then this playful, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining companion, Winston is ready to bring the fun and the cuddles right into your home! As part of Winston’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet pup, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Winston, you can complete an application online for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2695840##

Story
(DOB 09/01/2025) Meet Rossi, your future cardio partner, cuddle bug, and resident goofball — all rolled into one VERY good boy. This young guy is all puppy: bouncy, wiggly, playful, and endlessly enthusiastic about life. He’s dog-friendly, people-friendly, and basically convinced everyone he meets is his new best friend. He’s looking for an adopter who’s ready to invest some time, patience, and positive training to help him grow into the best version of himself. In return, he promises laughs, loyalty, and nonstop tail wags. With tons of energy, he’d thrive with another high-energy dog buddy and/or an athletic family who enjoys long walks, hikes, runs, or epic games of fetch. Doggy daycare? Yes please — that sounds like his kind of party. If you’re ready for an active sidekick with a heart of gold and springs for legs, this puppy might just be your perfect match. As part of Rossi’s $325 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Story
(DOB 03/05/2025) Ricky is a tender-hearted Boxer/Border Collie mix with the softest coat and the most endearing, wrinkly little face that always looks just a bit concerned—don’t worry, it only adds to his charm. Beneath that “worried” expression is an absolute sweetheart who loves deeply and bonds closely with his people. Ricky is a true lover boy. He adores affection and gives it right back, often wrapping you up in his signature doggie hugs once he feels safe and comfortable. It’s his favorite way of saying “you’re my person.” He enjoys gentle, playful games like chase and hide-and-seek, and while he’s curious about toys, he’s still figuring out what they’re all about—which just makes him that much more endearing. This sensitive guy can be a little unsure in new or noisy environments, but he takes great comfort in his people and looks to them for reassurance. With a patient, loving home, his confidence will continue to blossom. He’s very food motivated and eager to please, making him a wonderful candidate for continued positive training. Ricky is dog-friendly and would truly thrive in a home with at least one other friendly, confident dog to help show him the ropes. He’s crate trained and does well with house training when kept on a consistent routine. Because of his gentle, affectionate nature (and those enthusiastic hugs), Ricky would do best in a home with older kids. He’s also hoping for a stay-at-home or work-from-home family who can give him the time, stability, and companionship he craves. If you’re looking for a soft, soulful companion who will love you with his whole heart (and maybe wrap you in a hug or two), Ricky is ready to be your shadow and your snuggle buddy for life. As part of Ricky’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet pup, you can email: Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Ricky, you can complete an application online for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2703495##

Story
Snugs is a very sweet, eager to please pup who is happiest cuddled up to his human or exploring the woods or a river. He loves toys, is very treat motivated, and lives to please his owner. Unfortunately my living situation in a condo has proven challenging for him. His reactivity has gotten worse over time and he would really do better with a yard and ideally another dog he could bond with (over time). Between my work travel, living in a condo, and my desire for kids in the next few years, I am afraid I am not the best long term fit for his temperament and needs. I'd like to take the time to find the right adopter and situation - as I do think the right person could help him thrive. I'm doing as much as I can with him currently, lots of training and working on his behaviors, but I don't know that I have the means to give him the level of training and the lifestyle he deserves.

Story
Meet Amigo—and true to his name, he's ready to be your very best friend! This handsome young adult terrier/pittie mix sports a stunning mahogany coat accented by creamy white markings that make him stand out in any crowd. At 47 pounds, he's the perfect size for adventures and couch time alike. A young boy with a zest for life, he greets you with such a big smile and so much happiness. He is super friendly and loves to say hello to all the two-legged and four-legged creatures he comes across. He will quite literally do a summersault right at your feet for some belly rubs. Amigo also really enjoys playing with toys and loves a good nylabone. He does well in his crate, the car, the house, and on a leash; an all-around very good boy! He also loves treats and can easily be motivated with something yummy. Amigo is also a smart boy and quick study. He knows "sit" and "no" as he has been learning how to play a little more gently with his smaller foster siblings. He just wants to play and doesn't understand that he can come on a little too strong at times. Amigo would do well in a home with another playful furry companion or human who loves to have fun. This sweet boy is super affectionate and loves to be around his people. He doesn't let his hip issue slow him down or prevent him from getting up on the couch to find a comfy place to snooze. Friendly, attentive, and full of potential, Amigo is ready to turn a new friend into a forever family!

Story
Ashland is a serene silver‑grey terrier mix whose quiet beauty steals the spotlight without ever trying. At 46 pounds, she’s a calm, composed adult who somehow maintains her gentle grace even when surrounded by the chaos of younger pups. She brings a certain calm energy into the room and has the ability to make you feel so peaceful when she’s around. Her short coat is stunning with shades of grey and silver and her eyes almost match her fur, giving her an enchanting look. Her tail curls sweetly at the end as a little flourish which suits her soft elegance. Ashland is curious, but she explores the world with calm intention rather than frantic energy. She investigates, observes, and moves through life with quiet confidence. And when it comes to affection, she’s 100% on board. Tummy rubs, gentle pets, full cuddles—Ashland melts into them all. She’s a soothing presence, a steady companion, and a quietly radiant girl ready to bring calm, beauty, and love into her forever home. Don’t miss your chance to meet her!
