Chewy (short for Chewbacca) is an almost 1 year old male dog. He has a soft brindle coat and looks like a Boxer. he weighs 38 pounds. Chewy was loved by his family but the owner's health issues made them realize they could not care for him anymore. He gets along with other dogs and children. He has lived indoors and is housetrained. Chewy has a typical Boxer's high energy. He grabs at things with his paws looking like he is boxing. Chewy would benefit from basic obedience training to give him an outlet for his energy. He is looking for an active person or family that loves to run and play as much as he does. He is up to date on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm disease and his adoption fee includes a voucher for the mandatory neuter.

Story
I took Harlequin in when she was approximately 6 months old, I had a roommate with two golden retriever’s and I had two small dogs. She is super sweet but for three years she had a yard and a lot of activity. I moved to Raleigh for work and I am not able to provide her the active lifestyle she needs. I did send her to training but I didn’t do the best at continuing the training so she can be leash aggressive and needs a minute to be comfortable with strangers. I still have one of my small senior dogs and Harlequin has been to open play doggy day care so I think she will be ok with other dogs. She will come with a kennel and her favorite toys.
