Story
Hi future best friend, I’m Jupiter! I’ve been told I’m a Boxer mix, but honestly I think I’m mostly just… dog? Big, wiggly, slightly slobbery good vibes. My time at FDHS has been...an event. You know how some dogs have a rough start at the shelter? Mine has mostly involved accidentally injuring myself in increasingly creative ways. First, I sliced my paw open, which led to three separate vet visits because I wasn't very committed to the healing process. Then I discovered something called Happy Tail Syndrome. If you're unfamiliar, it's what happens when a dog has a powerful wagging tail and absolutely no self-preservation instincts spends too much time whacking said tail against kennel walls. Long story short, I ended up needing a partial tail amputation. I look a little silly now, but I feel a whole lot better. The recovery process involved wearing a giant cone, which was deeply offensive to me. For weeks I wandered around looking like a satellite dish, occasionally running into walls, doors, and people. Nobody was safe. The good news is that I'm all healed up now and still just being me! I love my humans, I love attention, and if you sit down, I'll probably try to become part of whatever you're doing. Personal space is still more of a suggestion than a rule. Other dogs? Meh. I don't mind them, don't necessarily need them. Cats don't really seem to bother me either. If your household needs some slobbery kisses, a personal comedian, and a professional snuggle buddy - I am single and searching!**Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs 54 lbs**

Story
Laila is a 5yr old spayed female Boxer/ Pitbull mix. Laila came to us as part of a cruelty case. Laila was loved but never received vet care or proper food. She had a terrible flea infestation and was missing a lot of hair. She was also thin and needed wormed. She has now been fully vetted and has put on some much needed weight. For everything she has been through Laila is still a very kind and gentle girl. She eagerly wants to please you and should quickly learn new commands. She has some energy but also calms down nicely. She is good with her food and happily shares toys and treats. She has been through enough and now deserves to live the good life. She seems very well house trained. She is up to date on shots and wormed. She is already spayed. The adoption fee is $200. If interested in meeting this cutie, please email heritagefarms08@gmail.com or call the foster at 419-779-0862 . She is being fostered in Ottawa Lake, Michigan. Story
Meet Pete 👨‍🦳Good ol’ Petey here is an estimated 8 year old boxer mix. He’s an older boy, but he doesn’t let that slow him down (too much). Pete still gets some “zoomies”, or at least his version of it. He’s not the fastest or the strongest boy around, but he still likes to be at least a little active. So long as he gets some space to prance around and some toys to play with, he’s a happy guy. He’s a well mannered boy who tends to keep his kennel clean. As much as he likes to play, he doesn’t tend to chew or be destructive with any of the blankets or dog beds he is given. He’s also a very gentle boy who gets along with everyone he’s met. He can be a little intimidating to other dogs at first, but he gets along with them well. He tends to want to chase cats (well, his version of “chasing”) but he is never mean or aggressive towards them. Thanks to his believed breed combination, Pete has quite sensitive skin and is prone to breakouts. We believe it to be linked to allergies, however, due to the limited resources that we have available to us, we are unable to narrow it down as to what exactly it is that he is allergic to. While he might not be the most high maintenance in terms of energy, it will likely take a bit of trial and error, and well as an established vet, to help narrow down what specifically has been causing his skin issues. We have him on a limited diet and have been giving him special bathing treatments to help, and have had quite an improvement with just that so far. Above everything though, Pete is a goofy, loyal snugglebug at heart. His desires are simple: a home to call his own and a person to snuggle up with at the end of the day. If you’re looking to add an older, certified Good Boy into your life, and don’t mind a bit of maintenance with his skin, Pete might just be the perfect fit for you.🐾

Story
Meet Sedona! 🐾 This 52-pound, spayed girl was brought to us by the warden, and she’s ready to find a loving home where she can truly shine! ✨ While shelter life can make her a bit vocal—she’s definitely a barker 🗣️ and shows signs of separation anxiety—she calms down quickly once she gets out of her kennel. 🐕💨 Sedona is high-energy, making her a fantastic companion for outdoor adventures and active playtime. 🎾☀️ After she burns off her initial energy, her true self comes through: a total snuggle bug 💖 who loves nothing more than curling up right next to you for belly rubs! 🤗 Sedona gets along great with other dog pals 🐶, but she has made it very clear that she hates cats 🐱❌, so a feline-free household is a must. She will do best with an adopter who has a patient heart, routine, and plenty of time to help her work through her separation anxiety. 🏠💕 If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate girl to fill your life with joy, Sedona is ready to meet you! 🐕✨ Apply online to meet her TODAY! https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FCHO/Dog
