Available for adoption at: Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center 1854 East Pike, Zanesville, Ohio 43701 740-453-0273 Open Tues-F 11-5, Saturday 11-4, Sunday 10-3. Closed on Monday. Adoption fee is $130 which includes spay/neuter, combo, rabies, and bordetella vaccines, heartworm test and dog license. (Although some of the dogs come to the pound spayed or neutered, most do not. If you adopt a dog that has not yet been spayed/neutered, we will set up an appointment for the dog to be spayed/neutered before it can leave the facility.)

Meet Gourd! Gourd came to us as a stray, and unfortunately was not reclaimed. Gourd is ready for a fresh start with his furever family! Gourd spent some time in foster with shelter staff, and they had lots of good things to say about him! Gourd does well with other dogs of all sizes, he loves to play and would appreciate another playful dog at home. He is potty trained and knows a few other basic skills like "sit" and "shake"! Gourd is very friendly with men, women, and children and loves to make new friends. He is a medium energy guy, the perfect weekend warrior who is always up for an adventure but equally happy to snooze on the couch. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Gourd home.
