Story
To describe this little tiny nugget would be to say he's simply a ray of sunshine. He's the happiest puppy (for no reason at all) and he just adores his humans (can't wait until they walk in the room) loves being a lap dog, will comfort you when you're having a bad day and Rambler’s tail NEVER STOPS WAGGING! To describe him would be to say that he's gentle, LOVING, kind, energetic yet calm, submissive, sweet, angelic. Rambler is my foster for the time being. He lives in my home with my two children and other dogs of various stages of life. He loves to explore or simply lay by your feet. Currently he lives in Memphis, Tn. Once adopted, Rambler will travel via Rescue Vet Transport to his new family. They travel each and every weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make Rambler part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application. Our turnaround time is typically less than 24 hours so please be prepared before you submit your application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
What an adorable little firecracker !! FULL of personality and afraid of nothing! She is confident, curious, LOVES the water and her baby pool. Often times she's the only one willing to get in. LAMAREY lives to be with other dogs and especially adores her humans. She is literally always happy! You cannot rain on her parade! She is kennel trained and almost house trained! She is a joy to have as part of our foster family. LAMAREY is with me in my home in Memphis, Tn. Once adopted , she will travel via Rescue Vet Transport to her new forever family. Once an application has been submitted and approved , I would be happy to speak with you and tell you all of the wonderful things about her ! You will find our volunteer team to be very responsive so please refrain from submitting an application until you are ready to welcome a new forever family member. Transport runs each weekend, leaving Memphis Tennessee Friday morning around 6 AM at which time they start a group chat with the two drivers and all the adopters who have a A Pet on board. Transport is an additional $185.

Story
Miss Gracie is a happy lady looking for a home to call her own. Despite being a middle aged girl she still has some energy left and would greatly appreciate an outlet for her zoomies before she's ready to snuggle up with you. She is a big fan of toys and loves a good game of tug. She is an instant lover and warms up to people quickly, and is quite the cuddle-bug once you're her friend. Gracie loves her people so much that she would prefer to be the only pet in the home. If you are interested in meeting Gracie, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit. Story
Rabbit is ready to meet you! This sweet girl has never met a stranger, and is ready to be your new best friend. Like most young boxers, Rabbit has energy for days and would do best in a home that can accommodate her desire to be active. Rabbit is hearing impaired--potentially fully deaf--but she doesn't let that get her down! Rabbit would appreciate a home experienced with deaf dogs, though it is not required if you're ready to learn what being a deaf dog parent entails. If you have other dogs at home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Rabbit home. If you are interested in meeting Rabbit, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit. Story
Look at that precious Boxer face! Miss Maxine is cute as can be and ready to find her furever home. Maxine came to the shelter as a stray with her buddy Grinch, and while they would love to find a home together it is not a requirement. Maxine was a little shy with us at first, but with some yummy treats she opened right up. She is your typical young boxer; energetic, goofy, and playful. She loves to get her zoomies out in the yard before coming in to relax with her person. Like any young dog, Maxine would benefit from positive reinforcement based training and continued socialization in her new home. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in for a meet and greet before taking Maxine home. If you are interested in meeting with Maxine, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit. Story
Gypsy is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Gypsy is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog I have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy does well with all dogs but gets along best with male dogs. She is normally good around small dogs but occasionally mistakes one for a toy when she is over-excited. So she is not recommended for homes with small dogs. She is not too fond of puppies getting in her face either. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with children. She could perhaps use more obedience training with someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is very sweet. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. She must be in the house as a loved family member, and she needs a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. Gypsy came from a bad home. She was not being fed and was severely underweight. So the people surrendered Gypsy and her puppies to animal control to avoid animal cruelty charges. Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited and we now know that comes from the Boxer in her. Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs 70 pounds (she only weighed 35 pounds when we got her). Gypsy is healthy. She is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. We used the slow-kill method (we are happy to explain this) and she is now negative for heartworms and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Columbus, Cincinnati, or Akron Ohio. She is located in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted.
