Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Reese! (FKA Brutus) This delicious peanut butter and chocolate treat has waited far too long for a family. We have come to know him and have found that he is a very sweet, mild-mannered, good ole boy who deserves a loving home with plenty to do. He enjoys walking, running, playing, kissing, and lying around. He loves booty and belly rubs as well as treats and food. He will even “sit” for treats when commanded. Reese has done well with other dogs and loves having playmates. He is doing well with potty training and listening to his person. The reality is, he is a big baby doll who just needs a home and a family who appreciates his independence and energy. He is teachable and there is a big love bug inside that beautiful brindle coat. He is still working on not jumping on people to greet them with excitement and not pulling on his leash. He will get there. Like so many, his story is sad and unfair, but we are believing for a happy ending. He is going to make a perfect house pet one day. We see Reese as a man's man's dog to go on adventures or a great family dog as a sweet, goofy companion. Don’t overlook this handsome fella. Apply for him today!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 26, 2024, 5:07 pm

What an adorable little firecracker !! FULL of personality and afraid of nothing! She is confident, curious, LOVES the water and her baby pool. Often times she's the only one willing to get in. LAMAREY lives to be with other dogs and especially adores her humans. She is literally always happy! You cannot rain on her parade! She is kennel trained and almost house trained! She is a joy to have as part of our foster family. LAMAREY is with me in my home in Memphis, Tn. Once adopted , she will travel via Rescue Vet Transport to her new forever family. Once an application has been submitted and approved , I would be happy to speak with you and tell you all of the wonderful things about her ! You will find our volunteer team to be very responsive so please refrain from submitting an application until you are ready to welcome a new forever family member. Transport runs each weekend, leaving Memphis Tennessee Friday morning around 6 AM at which time they start a group chat with the two drivers and all the adopters who have a A Pet on board. Transport is an additional $185.

Story
OMG!!! SHORT LEGS! Stocky build! Shiniest coat on the planet! Cutest wrinkly face on earth!!!!!!!This guy loves to play for about 15 whole minutes then sleep for three times that long. Chubb's precious little wrinkly face just makes you wanna squeeze him to death. He is as cute as a button and everything puppy. He has a somewhat bigger foster mate that for some reason likes to pick on him, but he can hold his own in a puppy romp. He’s going to make a great companion for some lucky family. Our transport heads to the north east every week. RescueVet transport goes all the way up to Rhode Island, delivering fur friends to their forever homes. (Transport is an additional $185.00). If you’d like to make this guy the prince of the family, please follow our link below to fill out an adoption application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
Miss Gracie is a happy lady looking for a home to call her own. Despite being a middle aged girl she still has some energy left and would greatly appreciate an outlet for her zoomies before she's ready to snuggle up with you. She is a big fan of toys and loves a good game of tug. She is an instant lover and warms up to people quickly, and is quite the cuddle-bug once you're her friend. Gracie loves her people so much that she would prefer to be the only pet in the home. If you are interested in meeting Gracie, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit. Story
Gypsy is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Gypsy is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog I have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy does well with all dogs but gets along best with male dogs. She is normally good around small dogs but occasionally mistakes one for a toy when she is over-excited. So she is not recommended for homes with small dogs. She is not too fond of puppies getting in her face either. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with children. She could perhaps use more obedience training with someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is very sweet. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. She must be in the house as a loved family member, and she needs a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. Gypsy came from a bad home. She was not being fed and was severely underweight. So the people surrendered Gypsy and her puppies to animal control to avoid animal cruelty charges. Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited and we now know that comes from the Boxer in her. Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs 70 pounds (she only weighed 35 pounds when we got her). Gypsy is healthy. She is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. We used the slow-kill method (we are happy to explain this) and she is now negative for heartworms and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Columbus, Cincinnati, or Akron Ohio. She is located in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted.
