Story
Duke is a boxer mix around 8 years old. We rescued him 6 years ago and the shelter didn’t know his exact age. He’s very friendly and loves to be around people. He is good around kids of all ages. He’s a great guard dog and will happily bark at anyone ringing the doorbell. He loves cuddling and snuggling up on the couch. He’s not a big fan of thunder and will want to lay with you if it storms. Duke has separation anxiety and will want to be around you if you’re home. He is fine if you leave the house though. He does well in a cage and associates that with his “safe space”. He also does fine at boarding places too. We’re looking for someone who can give him the attention and love he needs and deserves. Someone with a backyard for him to explore would be great.

Story
To describe this little tiny nugget would be to say he's simply a ray of sunshine. He's the happiest puppy (for no reason at all) and he just adores his humans (can't wait until they walk in the room) loves being a lap dog, will comfort you when you're having a bad day and Rambler’s tail NEVER STOPS WAGGING! To describe him would be to say that he's gentle, LOVING, kind, energetic yet calm, submissive, sweet, angelic. Rambler is my foster for the time being. He lives in my home with my two children and other dogs of various stages of life. He loves to explore or simply lay by your feet. Currently he lives in Memphis, Tn. Once adopted, Rambler will travel via Rescue Vet Transport to his new family. They travel each and every weekend from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east, delivering pups along the way as far north as West Greenwich, Rhode Island. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make Rambler part of your family please follow the link below to our adoption application. Our turnaround time is typically less than 24 hours so please be prepared before you submit your application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
Gypsy is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Gypsy is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog I have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy does well with all dogs but gets along best with male dogs. She is normally good around small dogs but occasionally mistakes one for a toy when she is over-excited. So she is not recommended for homes with small dogs. She is not too fond of puppies getting in her face either. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with children. She could perhaps use more obedience training with someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is very sweet. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. She must be in the house as a loved family member, and she needs a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. Gypsy came from a bad home. She was not being fed and was severely underweight. So the people surrendered Gypsy and her puppies to animal control to avoid animal cruelty charges. Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited and we now know that comes from the Boxer in her. Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs 70 pounds (she only weighed 35 pounds when we got her). Gypsy is healthy. She is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. We used the slow-kill method (we are happy to explain this) and she is now negative for heartworms and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Columbus, Cincinnati, or Akron Ohio. She is located in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. Story
Miss Gracie is a happy lady looking for a home to call her own. Despite being a middle aged girl she still has some energy left and would greatly appreciate an outlet for her zoomies before she's ready to snuggle up with you. She is a big fan of toys and loves a good game of tug. She is an instant lover and warms up to people quickly, and is quite the cuddle-bug once you're her friend. Gracie loves her people so much that she would prefer to be the only pet in the home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Reese Cup! (FKA Brutus)   This delicious peanut butter and chocolate treat has waited far too long for a family. We have come to know him and have found that he is a very sweet, mild-mannered, good ole boy who deserves a loving home with plenty to do. He enjoys walking, running, playing, kissing, and laying around. He loves booty and belly rubs as well as treats and food. He will “sit” for treats when commanded. Reese has done well with other dogs.   The reality is, he is a big baby doll who just needs a home and a family who appreciates his independence. He is teachable and there is a big love bug inside that beautiful brindle coat. He is still working on not jumping on people to greet them with excitement and not pulling on his leash. He will get there.   Like so many, his story is sad and unfair, but we are believing for a happy ending. Reese was found wandering the streets and picked up for jaywalking. So far this is the only criminal activity on his record. Big shout out to Pickaway County Shelter for saving him!!! Unfortunately darker dogs are typically harder to adopt and he did not present well in a shelter kennel. Thus, he was there for OVER A YEAR. This shows his true strength and character. He never let it make him break him down. It breaks our hearts that such an adoptable dog has gone this whole time without consideration from the public. He is going to make a perfect house pet one day. Don’t overlook this delicious treat. Story
Meet Steel! She is a loving 18 month female 55 lb boxer mix who is smart, kind, and loves to play with toys! She is a little shy at first, but once she gets to know you she'll be sleeping on the couch next to you in no time! She is very smart and knows how to sit, stay, down, off, and leave it. She is house broken and loves to hang outside! She is working on her walking without pulling and we have 2 extra training sessions available to the adopter at no additional charge! We are in desperate need to find her a new forever home where she can get all the love and attention she deserves. Her ideal home would include her as the only pet and have a fenced yard since that is what she is used to. She’s the happiest, fun loving girl who’s ready to give you lots of kisses! She is spayed and up to date on all shots and monthly preventative.
