Story
To my future family, I’m sitting here practicing my best "sit" while I wait for you. My foster parents tell me I’m a very good boy, but I have a little secret: sometimes the world feels a bit big and loud to me. When we first meet, I might stay a few steps back. I’m not being unfriendly—I’m just a Boxer who likes to make sure everything is okay before I let my guard down. If you have a calm voice and maybe a little patience, I promise it won’t take long for my "wiggle-butt" to start going! Once I know you're my person, I’m all in. I’ll lean against your legs while you make coffee, I’ll be your best student during training, and I’ll show you my world-famous kidney-bean dance every time you come home. A few things I’m really proud of: I haven't had a single potty accident in the house! I love my crate—it’s my favorite spot for a long nap. I think other dogs are the best. If you already have a pup, I’d love to be their new best friend. I’m just looking for a family who understands that the best friendships take a few minutes to grow. I have so much love to give, and I’m just waiting for the right person to give it to. Is that person you?

Story
Meet Charlie Lutz❤️ Lutz is looking for the perfect family to call his own. He was found dumped and had likely been hit by a car. At first, it looked like he had a tumor on his side, but our vet discovered it was actually a hernia from the accident. The good news is that with surgery, he is expected to make a full recovery and be back to normal in no time. We believe Lutz is about 3 years old, and despite the rough start he’s had, his personality is absolutely incredible. He has a sweet, gentle disposition and seems so grateful for the care and kindness he’s received so far. Lutz loves playing with balls, big rope toys, and his foster pack. He’s eating well and never turns down a good treat. He already knows the commands sit and back up, and he’s both housebroken and crate trained. This boy has been through a lot, but his spirit hasn’t been broken. Once he’s healed up, Lutz is going to make an amazing family member for a very lucky home. 🐾 His eyes have a way of holding yours, the kind of gaze that feels deeper than words—like he’s searching your soul and hoping it’s the one meant for him.

Story
Pepper previously lived in a home where she was deeply loved. Sadly, when her owner passed away, Pepper and Bruce returned to Red Dirt Boxer Rescue, where they are now waiting for a new family to welcome them home. Pepper is a 4 year, 10 month old fawn female Boxer with a very sweet and affectionate personality. She loves being around people and enjoys being part of the daily routine with her humans. Pepper loves toys—especially stuffed ones. Her favorite pastime is happily tearing the stuffing out of them. She also enjoys treats and knows basic commands. Pepper is house trained and does well with a routine. Her previous home did not have a doggie door, so she was used to being let outside to go to the bathroom. She’s also a big cuddle bug who enjoys relaxing close to her people. Pepper slept on a dog bed on her owner’s bedroom floor rather than in a crate, so we’re not certain about her crate training. However, she has boarded at the vet when her owner traveled and did well. Pepper would do best as the only pet in the home, as she is not fond of other dogs or other animals. She also prefers a home where someone is around most of the time, as she can become lonely when left alone for long periods. The volunteers at Red Dirt Boxer Rescue are committed to helping Pepper find a loving home where she can once again feel safe, cherished, and part of a family. 📍 Apply to adopt through Red Dirt Boxer Rescue 🌐 reddirtboxerrescue.com

Story
🐾 Bruce – 4-Year-Old Reverse Brindle Boxer | Red Dirt Boxer Rescue 🐾 Bruce is a 4-year-old reverse brindle male Boxer currently in the care of Red Dirt Boxer Rescue and looking for a loving forever home. Bruce and Pepper previously lived together in a home where they were deeply loved. Sadly, their owner passed away, and they have returned to Red Dirt Boxer Rescue while they wait for the next chapter of their lives. Bruce is a very sweet, affectionate boy who loves toys, treats, and spending time with his people. He knows basic commands and truly enjoys being around his humans. One of Bruce’s cutest traits is how he shows excitement — he bounces on all four paws like Tigger from Winnie the Pooh. It’s guaranteed to make you smile. Bruce is house-trained. In his previous home there wasn’t a doggie door, so he simply let his humans know when he needed to go outside. We are not completely sure about crate training since he slept on a dog bed on the bedroom floor, but he has successfully boarded at the vet when his owner traveled. Bruce would do best as the only pet in the home, as he is not fond of other dogs or other animals. He also prefers a home where someone is around most of the time, as he can get lonely if left alone for long periods. Bruce has a big heart and is ready to give his love to a family again. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate Boxer to add to your home, Bruce may be the perfect match. 📍 Apply to adopt through Red Dirt Boxer Rescue 🌐 reddirtboxerrescue.com ****************2024********************* Gator Hunter just had a birthday 2/26/22! He's two and loves getting attention good or bad. He was one of 3 but wasn't getting the attention that he needed due to illness and quick intake of new children in their house hold. Gator started developing bad habits such as counter surfing and toy destruction, specifically stuffies. We are working on basic manners and skills such as sit, wait and leash. He is crate and potty trained. He loves love and is eager to learn so he will make someone an amazing family members
