Story

2yr old boxer/pit. She shows no aggression even when someone knocks on the door, she doesnt bark. Vee was found in my front yard mid Aug this yr. She really was scared so brought her to backyard and try to find her owners. I posted on several sites in my neighborhood and local sites. No replies. We tried to keep her but our cats arent at all accepting. Now that Vee is getting more comfortable she is chasing our cats. Vee is incredibly sweet, smart and a cuddle bug. I just can't take the chance of her harming a cat whether intended or not. She's crated trained, house broken. She does need to have her food alone, not big food aggression but a little

Story

This sweetheart is Rosie! Rosie is an approximately 4.5-year old female Boxer / Pit Bull mix and currently weighs 50 lbs. Rosie is a very playful, loving cuddly! She needs another playful and active dog in the household. Would love a home where she is included in activities. Rosie doesn't really show her true personality at events but she is a very charming young lady. Rosie needs a stockade fenced back yard to run and play in. She can be quite shy at first, but once she is comfortable with the situation, her outgoing and social personality comes out! She is crate, leash and housetrained. Rosie does require a prescription diet for crystals in her urine so she may have accidents occasionally. And the cost of her special food needs to be in the budget for her needs. Rosie is spayed, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $250. If you are interested in adopting Rosie, please go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application to apply.

Story

This handsome gentleman is Cappy! Cappy is an approximately 15-month old male Boxer/Pit Bull mix who weighs around 55 lbs. He was rescued as a stray off the streets of OKC. Cappy is such a happy, friendly and playful dog! He doesn't know a stranger. He loves to throw his toys up in the air and play with them. Cappy adores people so he would probably be fine with kids. Cappy would love a home where is included in activities, given plenty of exercise, and attention. He needs a securely fenced back yard and requires a home check. He seems to like other dogs but does play a bit rough and can come on a bit strong to other dogs. He needs to meet all the dogs in the home prior to adoption. Cappy is in boarding and plays with higher energy dogs there. Since he is in boarding, he qualifies as foster-to-adopt or just as a foster dog. He seems okay in a crate, we don't know if he is house-trained since he is in boarding. He is good on a leash with a harness! Cappy is neutered, current on vaccines, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250 To adopt Cappy, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/adoption-application to apply. To foster Cappy, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/foster-application.

Story

Butter Cup has only one problem. She is either protective of things or is selfish and doesn't want to share. I have two other small dogs she has attacked usually over a chew toy. We no longer give them chew toys, only dental treats. We dog sit friend's three labradoodles and she gets along with them, plays with them, all go in and out the doggie door, eat together, drink water out of the same bowls. A great-niece brought flowers for my wife and leaned them against a cabinet. While waiting one of the small dogs was sniffing the flowers. Don't know what triggered it, but Butter Cup attacked her and she was severly injured losing her left eye. Just minutes before all three dogs went outside together to do their business in the grass. Butter Cup ignored her. Housebroken, sits, stay, lay down, shake, smart dog. Leash broken and likes walks and riding in the car. Does not like loud noises, loud cars, thunder or lightning. She would be a excellent companion for a couple or senior person.
