Milo is a gorgeous mahogany colored boxer male. He was surrendered for fighting with his elderly brother that had no teeth for his defense. There was an intact female in the home which caused the fighting because both males at the time were not neutered. We found out after the Surrender that the previous owner was bit in a fight. She went to the hospital to get stitches and they required her to put Milo in a 10 day quarantine. He did not buy her out of aggression, but from being in the middle of a fight. We have done behavioral evaluation on Milo and we have determined that he is not aggressive in anyway that the bite was an accidental bite. The shelter did give Milo back to the owner because the dog bit the owner not a stranger and they found that the dog was not aggressive. He's very smart and quick to learn. He's treat motivated and loves to play. I would trust him with my children. He also likes cats, which is a big plus. He is a big boy, but he is a very big pleaser as well.

Story
Wriggly came to us after being rehomed and rehomed off of Facebook. He's very anxious and growls at people to keep them away. He growls at kids too, which is why the last person that had him gave him up. He is potty trained, great trained and walks on the leash very well. He definitely has confidence issues. But he hasn't had any issues with us since the first day when he tried that growling stuff and we didn't have it. We have several different volunteers that come through and he's done fine. He hasn't let his hair down yet by showing interest and toys or traits for that matter, except for he did eat a beef jerky treat. He's barely picked at his food, but his going to the bathroom regularly and it is solid. He is a good boy. He just needs to know. He's found a forever home and that nothing else is gonna change. Change is hard for all of us.

Maximus's mother had to give him up because she was moving into a smaller place. The apartment complex would not accept dogs of his size. Due to no fault of his own because he is completely trained. He's potty trained, great trained, and leash trained. He doesn't mind car rides either. He's the sweetest boy a person could ask for nothing more. He would really love to be a part of your couch. I mean, family.
