Story
Lights, camera, Kodak! This handsome fella is ready for his close-up in your home.Kodak arrived at the shelter as a stray, a little nervous at first, but he`s quickly learned that people mean friendship and fun.Kodak is a 2-year-old, stocky 45-pound bulldog mix with a heart of gold. What started as shyness has blossomed into a goofy, friendly, and playful ball of love. He absolutely adores toys of all kinds, from squeaky plushies to bouncy balls. When he`s not playing, Kodak loves to hang out with his human friends and is a big fan of a good neck scratch.Kodak has been introduced to another dog here at the shelter and he seems to be dog friendly! His history with cats and children is unknown. Our adoption staff is happy to provide guidance and support for slow and successful introductions to any existing pets or family members.Kodak is in great health! He is neutered, up to date on core vaccinations, and has received flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He`s also microchipped! If you have questions about Kodak or our adoption process, feel free to reach out to us at 920-733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org. Story
Meet Nova Dawn!Nova Dawn is a stunning 2-year-old American Bulldog mix who arrived at FVHA when her previous owners could no longer afford the medical care she needed. But don`t let her past fool you—this girl is friendly and outgoing with everyone she meets! Nova Dawn is a truly lovely companion, equally happy to join you on an adventure or cuddle up on the couch for a cozy night in. She`s already a pro at living in a home, reportedly house-trained and crate-trained, and she even knows some commands. She`s an all-around good girl, ready to bring joy and companionship to her forever family!A Social ButterflyAccording to her previous owner, Nova Dawn is quite the social butterfly! She loves playing with other dogs and frequented the dog park. She`s also been socialized with children of all ages, making her a great potential family member. However, due to her size, she would do best in a home with children who are comfortable around larger dogs. If you have cats, Nova Dawn hasn`t been around them before, but our adoption staff is happy to guide you through slow, controlled introductions to ensure everyone gets along. On the Road to RecoveryWhen Nova Dawn arrived, she had a torn ligament in her knee that required surgery. Our amazing veterinary team performed the surgery, and she`s healing beautifully! While she`s recovering well, our vets advise weight loss to lessen the strain on her joints and for her overall health, as she is at risk of future ligament tears. Rest assured, Nova Dawn is spayed, up-to-date on core vaccinations, and has received flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. She`s also microchipped for her safety. If you have questions about Nova Dawn or our adoption process, feel free to reach out to us at 920-733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org and book an appointment on our website to meet with her today!
