Story
Luna was rescued in January of 2020. She was found as a stray who had recently had a litter. She is likely about 7-8 years old currently. We DNA tested her and her results came back 60.1% American Pit Bull Terrier, 16.4% American Staffordshire Terrier, 14.8 American Bulldog, and 8.7% Supermutt (but likely husky!) While Luna is a great dog, and friendly to all humans, she is very dog-reactive. I have a 2-year-old daughter and a newborn. Between two children, frequent travel, and anxiety about taking her on walks due to her reactivity, we would like to find a home better suited to her needs. We feel Luna would do best in a home with adults or older children. While mostly a couch-potato, Luna loves to play fetch and tug of war and go on runs! She is a snuggle bug and wants to be next to you all the time. She knows lots of commands and is very food motivated.

Story
&#226&#157&#132&#239&#184&#143 Meet Frosty — 11-year-old Pit Mix &#226&#157&#132&#239&#184&#143 Don’t let the gray fool you — this stout old gentleman still has plenty of pep in his step! Frosty enjoys wrestling with other dogs just like the young pups and proves that age is truly just a number. He also rides beautifully in the car and is an all-around easygoing companion. Frosty ended up in a high-capacity, high-euthanasia shelter after his owners became homeless. He and his housemate were surrendered together. While his housemate was lucky enough to be scooped up quickly, Frosty was left behind… waiting. We’re so grateful we could save him, because this sweet senior boy has so much love left to give. Frosty deserves a soft bed, a warm home, and a family who will cherish him through his golden years. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Could Frosty be the missing piece of your family?December 17, 2025, 9:33 am

Name: Frost Age: 5 months old  Breed: Pittie mix  Gender: Female Weight: 40 lbs Good with kids: yes Good with dogs: yes Good with cats: trainable Current on vaccinations: Yes Adoption also includes Certified Vet Inspection, and Prior vetting paperwork. Foster location: Appleton  Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Bio:  Frost was dumped at an overcrowded Chicago shelter with her brother just days before Christmas. Were they puppies that a backyard breeder didn't sell, were they a birthday gift no longer wanted, we will never know but we do know that they will go into 2026 safe. She is a taller girl with a wrinkled face you can’t help but fall in love with. She is the braver and more independent of the 2 and loves to chew on bones.  Puppies will be puppies—they scratch, nip, jump, have accidents, and chew on things they shouldn’t. They require time, patience, and consistent training. Please only consider adoption if you’re truly ready for the responsibility and lifelong commitment they deserve. Our Pack Animal Rescue,  Inc. Is an all foster based 501c3 rescue. License #487823. Meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved. An approved application does not mean you must adopt the dog of interest, if it isn't a good fit.December 21, 2025, 1:05 pm

Story
Name: Holly (fka Tassel) Age: 9? Seems unlikely so we’ll get an opinion from our vet partner  Breed: pit bull mix  Gender:  female  Weight: 45 lbs (but needs to gain some weight) Good with kids: unknown  Good with dogs: yes Good with cats: not fostered with kitties   Current on vaccinations: Yes Fixed: to be scheduled  Adoption also includes Certified Vet Inspection, and Prior vetting paperwork. Foster location: Waupaca   Application & Website: https://www.ourpackanimalrescue.com/adoption.html Bio: &#226&#156&#168 This Christmas… a second chance begins. &#226&#156&#168 When one foster pup finds her forever home, a space opens up to help another!  And that space led Our Pack Animal Rescue’s heart all the way to Chicago—to a gentle soul who needed healing and hope. Meet Holly Formerly known as Tassel, Holly arrived underweight with some skin issues and missing fur. Based on her body, we don’t think she had a very good 2025—but we know 2026 is going to be amazing for her. She’s been quiet, gentle, and understandably unsure of what’s happening. But now it’s Holly’s time to rest, to heal, and to learn what it feels like to be safe… and someday, to be chosen. Because this season isn’t about perfection—it’s about healing and second chances. And Holly’s story is just beginning. &#226&#156&#168 What we know about Holly so far… Holly already knows what it means to be part of a home. She understands routines, knows some basic commands, and has been a true little gem about letting us know when it’s time to go outside. She may be a bit shy when meeting new faces, but once she realizes you’re one of the good ones, her guard melts away and her gentle, loving spirit comes through. In some ways, it’s a little heartbreaking—Holly already knows what it means to have a home, and somehow, she lost it. We don’t know her full story, but we do know this: she deserves stability, safety, and a love that lasts. This time, we’re committed to making sure Holly doesn’t just find a home… she finds her forever. Stay tuned as her journey continues—we’re so excited to share more of Holly as she settles in, heals, and begins her next chapter. &#226&#156&#168December 26, 2025, 8:19 am

Story
I rescued Jayda almost 7 years ago, I adopted her at the Fox Valley Humane Society. She was part of a neglect and abuse case in TN. Now she’s almost 10 years old, she’s very much an alpha. She’s a sweet, cuddly, love bug that loves to lay on the couch all day. She would prefer to be the only dog in the house or with small dogs/cats. Within the last year my boyfriend and I moved in together, he also has two large dogs. One of my boyfriend’s dogs is very much an alpha as well. Jayda and him have never gotten along together. Constantly growling and displays of dominance to each other. We try to keep them separated as much as possible but we live in a small house. When our daughter came along we were nervous of how Jayda would react with the now constant noise. Every time our daughter would cry Jayda would run off into our bedroom and non stop shake. She would be in our room for hours and never come out for hours. Our household has become to stressful for her. Please contact me with any ?
