Story
Nicknamed Cece by her foster mom, 3-year-old Cecilia puts the “c” into cuddly. Not only does this 41-pound former puppy mama LOVE cuddling with her, she loves snuggling on the couch and arranging her arms in a manner most comfortable for her! She also loves resting her head on her, showing her paw for more loving, rolling over for belly rubs and doing the cutest of ranger crawls. Always friendly towards the people she meets, she even loves cuddling with strangers, and, once past some initial barking, she loves playing with other dogs (she likes playing with toys only when other dogs are involved) and chewing on bones. Highly and happily energetic, Cece especially enjoys visiting the dog park every day as well as going on long walks/runs before returning home to nap while her foster mom works. Motivated mainly by love and attention, closely followed by food, she already knows “come,” “sit,” “down,” “paw,” and “place” (to her bed), loves peanut butter, chicken and Dentastix, accepting all of her treats very gently. Still at work on her leash skills and almost fully house-trained, Cece will thrive in an active home, perhaps with another equally energetic dog, that will perfect her puppylike manners, complete her training, including her commands, and keep her in cuddles fur-ever. See more photos and videos of Cece here. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a "meet and greet" is set up. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email  dogs@arrcolorado.org  for more information, as we can't accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Hello, my name is Peter.  My son Francis and I are bonded at the hip and we will only be adopted together.  I am a little over 4 years old so you might say I was a teenage dad.  I am a happy boy, friendly with people, and love to hang out in the sun with my boy, as you can see from the pictures.  We both have fluffy tails, btw.  Peter and Francis will need a Brittany experienced family who will continue to work with them on manners and house rules.  They could both use some leash work also but they are eager to please and should learn quickly.  As with any Brittanys, these boys need daily exercise like multiple walks or running.   They will need a home with a good-sized yard with a secure 6- foot physical fence.  These boys are so eager to find their forever home together where they will give you years of love and affection. Peter is neutered, current on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.  He and Francis will do fine in a home without kids, or in a home with older, responsible kids.  They will not be adopted to a home with cats.  The combined adoption fee for Peter and Francis is $750.00.  If you are interested in making Peter and Francis members of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line application found under the Adopt tab.  Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.   Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Peter and Francis are eligible for our canine railroad and can be transported up to 1400 miles from LA with the last leg (100) being driven by the adopter.  April 26, 2024, 4:20 pm

Story
Reggie is a Brittany-pointer mix who has energy to spare when outside and an almost unbelievable off-switch in the home.  Indeed, Reggie is a sweet, loving lap dog in a large body.    Reggie needs a home where he can live indoors with the family and be showered with love. Reggie needs a home with a large yard and a secure, 6-foot high fence so he can safely run and hunt squirrels.  He is a great running companion and would do best in a home where he would be able to run with his owner every day.  Preference will be given to adopters with sporting dog experience who understand the energy needs and running tendencies of these dogs.  Reggie also needs a home where the owner/s either work from home or are retired.  He has been through a lot in his life and he has some separation anxiety and is currently on Prozac for his SA. It is clear Reggie came from a home where he was badly abused and that history has left him with a few reactive behaviors.  While he does well on leased walks, he does not respond well when being led or grabbed by the collar.  He also will periodically cower if you try to step over him or he is surprised.  He does not get aggressive but freezes with fear.  This behavior is slowly disappearing as his foster family works with him and builds his confidence.  Because of his abuse history, Reggie needs a very patient family that can help to continue to build his confidence.  Reggie will only be adopted to a home with no children.  Because Reggie is anxious about where he sits in the pack he will do best as the only dog in his new home although he does do well at doggy daycare playing with other dogs.  Reggie is UTD on all vaccinations, heartworm negative, neutered, and microchipped.  His adoption fee will be $350 to offset his vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If interested in making Reggie a member of your family, please complete the on-line application by visiting www.NBRAN.org (under the Adopt tab).   Once your application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator.  A phone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.  Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Story
Juliet is an adorable, affectionate, 4 year-old who has spent her whole life with her biological family.  She is currently hanging out with Peter, the dad, and their three kids - Damian, Francis, and Reah.  She loves to play and run with them.  Because she is used to being with her family, she would do best if she were adopted into a home with another dog to play with.  She either needs a member of her actual family or a male dog.  Juliet could also be adopted with her daughter Reah but otherwise does not do well with other female dogs.   Juliet will need continued training and working on her manners.  She will need daily exercise with her new family as well as lots of love, confidence-building, and attention.  She needs a home with a reasonable-sized yard with a secure 6-foot physical fence.   Juliet is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.  She  will do fine in a home without kids, or in a home with older, responsible kids.  She will not be adopted to a home with cats.  Juliet’s adoption fee is $400.00.  If you are interested in making Juliet a member of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line application found under the Adopt tab.  Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.   Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Story
Reah is a very sweet, maternal, almost 3-year-old, just waiting for her furever home.  Reah has lived her entire life with her parents and two siblings so she will do best in a home with another sweet dog to play with.  While Reah is close to her mom, Juliet - and would love to be adopted with her - she is not good with other female dogs.  Reah is her foster dad’s favorite and he has been working with her training and manners.  Any adopter will be expected to continue with this training.  As with any Brittany, Reah will need daily exercise and play-time with her new family.  Because she is naturally affectionate, Reah needs a home where she will receive lots of attention.  She also needs a home with a reasonable-sized yard with a secure 6-foot physical fence.   Reah is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.  She  will do fine in a home without kids, or in a home with older, responsible kids.  She will not be adopted to a home with cats.  Reah’s adoption fee is $400.00.  If you are interested in making Reah a member of your family, please visit www.nbran.org and complete the on-line application found under the Adopt tab.  Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process.   Please realize that all our dogs are placed in the most appropriate home for their individual needs.  We do not operate on a first-come, first-serve basis.
