Abby — Her Happily-Ever-After Is Waiting Hi there… I’m Abby, and I have a very important question for you: Do you have room in your heart and on your couch for a girl who has been waiting a very long time to belong to someone? I’m a beautiful 55-lb liver, white & roan Brittany/GSP mix, and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I LOVE with my whole heart. I’m healthy, spayed, heartworm and tick negative, and on prevention. Now all I’m missing is my forever family. I’m the perfect combination of silly and snuggly. I’ll get a case of the zoomies, race around and enjoy myself, and then—just like that—I’m ready to curl up beside you for some serious couch time. ️ I’m pretty sure being a professional cuddle buddy is the job I was born to do. And personal space? Well… I may have heard of it. If you’re my person, I want to be with you. That’s why getting a good picture of me can be tricky—I’d much rather be leaning against you, sitting beside you, or soaking up your love than posing for the camera. I Want to Be Your One & Only Abby loves her people BIG, and she would be happiest as the only dog in her forever home. But please don’t think of that as something she’s missing. Think of it this way: one very special girl gets to give one very lucky family ALL of her heart. ❤️ She isn't asking for doggie siblings. She is asking for YOU—someone who wants a devoted companion, a couch-sharing partner and a best friend who will be thrilled every single day that you came home. A physical fenced yard is required so Abby can safely enjoy her sunshine, sniffing adventures and those adorable bursts of zoomies before coming back inside to her favorite place—right next to her person. Her Past Is Behind Her. Her Future Is What Matters. Abby's life wasn't always easy. There was a time when she was frightened, confused and facing a future that almost ended far too soon. Kind people chose to give her another chance. And Abby did something beautiful with that chance. She blossomed. Today, we don't want Abby's story to be about what almost happened to her. We want it to be about what happens next. We want the next chapter to be about the day someone saw her sweet face and decided: “That's my girl.” A warm bed. A safe yard. A spot on the couch. A human to follow from room to room. A lifetime of belly rubs, kisses and being ridiculously spoiled. That's the ending we're looking for. ❤️ Abby doesn't need a perfect world. She just needs to be someone's girl. And whoever chooses her won't simply be giving Abby her forever home… They'll be getting a loyal, affectionate, wonderfully silly girl who has been saving an enormous amount of love for the family she can finally call her own. Abby is ready. Her bags are packed. Her heart is wide open. Her couch-cuddling skills have been perfected. Now she just needs someone to say, “Abby, you're home.” The adoption fee for OK/Abby,  who lives in Tulsa, OK area  is $325, (which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making OK/Abby part of your family, please complete the online application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Please let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  Also, please email the state coordinator of OK/Abby-Melinde Waddle @ macgammy@gmail.com  Once approved by your state coordinator, I will setup talking with you about Abby. Story
Meet Your New Best Friend! Jayce is a 3-year-old Brittnay Mix who is looking for his forever home. While he might be a little shy when you first meet him, give him a moment to come out of his shell, and you'll find a funny, bouncy, and deeply loving companion. Jayce is a "paws-on" kind of dog! He is famous for his hugs and will spend his time trying to wrap his paws around you if he isn't already trying to curl up in your lap. He is the perfect blend of a lounge partner and a playmate. Because of his cautious temperament, Jayce has some specific needs to help him feel safe and successful: No Other Dogs: He prefers being the "only child" and can be reactive toward strange dogs. Quiet Environment: He would not enjoy the high-stress environment of a dog park. Patient Humans: He needs an owner who understands he needs to approach new things at his own pace. No Strangers (at first): He can be vocal with people he doesn't know, but his loyalty to his inner circle is unmatched. If you have the patience to let him blossom, you will be rewarded with a level of love and loyalty that only a dog like Jayce can give. He is ready to be your most devoted friend. Jayce's adoption fee is $325 to offset the cost of vetting and help other rescues in need. He is currently located in Georgia and can be transported up to 1400 miles via our Canine Railroad. Story
Please contact Marie for more information about this pet.Griff is a 2-year-old liver & white Brittany who loves prowling the yard for critters.  He loves to play with his chuckit frisbee and does very well at catching it before it hits the ground.  He knows sit, stay, come and does not jump.  His previous owner sent him to hunting and obedience training and is supposed to be a good hunter.  With the way he is in his fosters yard, he sure seems like he would be.  He is e-collar trained and has excellent recall.  He is a good rider in the car and UTV.  He is very well trained and would be an asset to any family.  Hi, I’m Griff and I am full of energy! I am looking for a home that will give me a lot of exercise with a large fenced yard so I can run and chase all the critters. I will also need off leash runs to get my energy out. When I came to my foster’s home, I wouldn’t cuddle at all, but I have learned that I really love to cuddle up on my foster’s lap in the morning while she has her coffee and sometimes in the evening.  I sleep in my own bed at night and do not even attempt to jump in my foster’s bed.  However, when their grandkids are here, I jump in bed with them and settle next to them for the night.  If I would be going to a home that has another dog, they cannot be the alpha or it will not work.  If the other dog, wants to play on my terms we will get along just fine.  I absolutely love my chuckit frisbee and need this to be thrown at least two times a day if not more.  Although I do like to play tug with my chuck it, if you ignore me, I will drop it at your feet so you can throw it again for me.  I am a very smart boy. Griff will need a lot of daily exercise with his new family and a lot of attention. Griff would be most happy in a home that has somebody with him most of the time as he doesn’t like it when he is not with you.  There should be a male figure in the household as he seems to be really attached to males.  He does not get kenneled when the fosters leave, but they do have a huge fenced in back yard that he roams when by himself.  He doesn’t try to climb the four-foot fence or dig under it.  He has anxiety and has been put on a daily pill, which has helped him tremendously with his anxiety.  He’s been checked from nose to tail and is up to date on all his vaccines, micro-chipped, neutered, heartworm negative and on preventative meds.  Now all that’s missing is his Furever Home! If you are interested in me, please fill out an NBRAN adoption application at: https://nbran.org/adopt/adoption-application and reference my name, Griff. My adoption fee is $400 to help offset the expenses associated with getting me (and other fabulous rescued Britts) in excellent condition for a fabulous new home. You do not need to live in Wisconsin, where I am currently located, to adopt me. NBRAN will transport me up to 1400 miles to my forever home. Story
Allow me to introduce myself! My name is Hank and I am approximately 18 months old. When I got to NBRAN, I visited the vet and got all my vaccines and I was neutered. I am heartworm negative and I take my monthly heartworm preventatives like a good boy! I am a very handsome male French Brittany, if I do say so myself. Actually, everyone that meets me says I am very handsome! The only thing cuter than my adorable looks is my bigger than life comedic personality. My foster mom thinks I am hilarious! At 30 lbs., I am a little guy. I can be very shy, but I can also be very loving. At times, I get intimidated by loud noises. I lived in a kennel with a concrete floor and did not play or walk in the grass much. That makes going to the potty on the grass at my foster home confusing for me. I am modest when I do my business, so I like my foster mom to look away and give me privacy. I am almost totally housetrained, but my foster mom lets me wear a belly band to keep me from getting the urge to hike my leg in the house. I am extremely smart and I really like to please my human. I would love a home with a doggie friend that would help me learn the ropes and be my playmate. I have never been around cats, but I do not think I would like them very much! My foster family loves me but wants me to have a family of my very own. I want a home with a fenced backyard to run in, and a doggie door would help me get 100% housetrained (only 10% to go), although it is not a “must have.”  I am more motivated by affection than food, even though I love chicken and pupperoni sticks. Before bed I even like a Milkbone! I walk politely on a leash, enjoy riding in the car and I am not destructive. While I can be reactive to loud noises, I am not particularly scared of thunderstorms. Do you think you would like me to be part of your family? If you have patience and a loving home where I can have fenced yard, I would love to come live with you! My adoption fee is $400 to help offset the expenses associated with getting me (and other fabulous, rescued Brittanys) in excellent condition for a fabulous new home. You do not have to live in Tennessee, NBRAN will transport me up to 1400 miles to my furever home. Please contact Suzanne Horsley ztasuzanne@gmail.com or Debbie Tuthill agilitybrits@gmail.com to find out more about me! Story
Hi! My name is Remi and I am a pocket sized (33 lb) orange and white...almost red...roan Brittany and I'm looking for my forever family. Check out my photos! People always tell me I'm SO handsome. I am 4 years old, neutered, up to date on my vaccines, HW negative (just went through HW treatment), microchipped, and I'm fit as a fiddle. Now that the boring stuff has been covered, let me tell you the good stuff about me . I really like to go for walks. Foster mum says I'm pretty good on a leash. Sometimes I will bark or growl at other dogs when on a walk, but I do go to daycare and get along with everyone there. It's a leash thing. I am very good at basic commands and will sit when asked and will wait for you to take off my leash or feed me etc. I am a sensitive little boy and I am looking for someone who likes to snuggle. I will happily curl up on the couch or your bed with you. I do get nervous around smaller kids and don't like loud/sudden noises, so an adult only home or home with older, considerate kids would be best. I think I'd be great with an active senior or retired couple who are home a lot so they can hang with me! I don't need another dog in the house and would be okay as your only dog. I may be nervous at first, but with your patience and some snuggles, I'm sure we will be the best of friends. So, if you think you're my new person, please fill out an application on-line at https://nbran.org/adopt/adoptionapplication.  A phone interview, home visit and vet check will be required as part of the approval process and will be done by your local provincial/state coordinator. This must be completed before you speak to Remi's foster mum. Remi is located in London, Ontario (115 kms/72 miles) from Port Huron, MI but transportation can be arranged up to 2200 kms (1400 miles) with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 160 kms (100 miles). Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Nell started out in life as the feral pup of a feral mom. She was rescued at a young age and has been in our care virtually her entire life. She has lived at our home base Windsong Ranch and in two different foster homes. She's currently in a foster home where she has really polished her leash-walking skills. She sleeps in a crate at night and takes daily leash walks. She enjoys time in the yard with two other senior dogs - a male Great Pyrenees and a female Pyr/Anatolian Shepherd mix. Nell is a very sweet dog, easy to manage. She has lived with a variety of dogs -- different breeds and ages and sizes. She has also lived with cats, though that was several years ago, so if you have cats, she would need careful introductions. Nell enjoys petting and brushing but she isn't demanding, making her the perfect dog for an adopter with a busy schedule. She can motivate you to take those daily walks you need for your own health and well-being, and she will gladly nap nearby as you work from home or watch TV. If you're ready to add this sweet girl to your family, complete the application here. Nell's Original Story Nell was just 3 months old when she, her mom, and two siblings were picked up by animal control in rural Oklahoma. They were picked up from a property where they were in the pasture with goats. Animal control had to use a catch-pole to catch them because the whole little family was showing a fair amount of fear-based aggression. Sadly, the animal control officer made the decision to euthanize one puppy, saying s/he was too aggressive. It's really hard to imagine a 3-month old puppy being so aggressive that an experienced person couldn't have dealt with the issue, but seeing that the animal control officer was willing to put down a puppy, a local person volunteered to foster mom and her remaining two puppies until she could find a rescue to take them in. When we brought them here, the puppies (whom we named Nell and Maynard) were very frightened, and they tried to avoid my attempts to touch them, but they were never aggressive. They simply acted like feral pups who had ZERO experience with humans, other than their very unfortunate interaction with animal control. Their mom (whom we named Violet) was very aggressive in her attempts to protect her puppies, so it surprised us that the mom survived and a puppy was killed by animal control. The mom's aggression made it a challenge to work with the pups, so we separated them, with mom moving into the house and the pups staying in one of our barn kennels. After she was old enough to be spayed, we brought Nell inside the house. Ironically, her mom Violet acted like she didn't know Nell at all, but another one of our Great Pyrenees mix adult females acted as a surrogate mom to her. They shared a giant 54" crate at night and usually went outside for potty breaks together. Nell was making a little bit of progress in learning to trust me, but then we moved her and her brother to another foster home where we hoped they would get  more attention than we could give them and make more progress. Unfortunately, even after two years in that home, we didn't see any real progress, so we moved Nell and Maynard back to Windsong Ranch. They are once again moving in the right direction -- they are learning to walk on a leash and to sleep in a crate.  They are still very skittish, but they will go outside to take care of their potty business and then come back in the house. They observe the other dogs and sometimes engage in play with them. Mostly it seems that Nell and Maynard are learning what it means to be a house dog with people who love them. We try to pet each one every time we walk past them, maybe just a 5-second interaction, but it gets repeated multiple times a day, with the hope being that our persistence and consistency in having positive interactions with them will show Nell and Maynard that we can be trusted, that not all humans are terrible people. We would love to find a foster or adopter for Nell who could help her move to the next level in her journey to being a family pet. We think she would do best in a home with another dog who is confident, who loves their humans, and who would enjoy playing with Nell.  Taking her on a daily leash walk could help improve her skills and increase her confidence. If you have the patience and compassion to love Nell and work with her to overcome her difficult start in life, please complete the application on our website at www.bluebonnetrescue.org.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 6, 2026, 11:09 am
