Story
Meet Zero! A rambunctious almost two-year-old Bull Terrier currently living in El Cajon, CA, whose tricolor coat is as bold and unique as his personality. With a heart full of loyalty and an energetic spirit just waiting to shine, Zero is a loving pup who’s navigating the big world and learning where he fits in. Zero is a high-energy companion who thrives on activity, especially when it involves water, a game of fetch, or a round of tug-of-war! He knows a few basic cues like “sit,” “stay,” and “come,” and he's crate-trained and house-trained, great foundations to build on with a patient, positive reinforcement–focused caregiver. What he needs now is consistent companionship and a calm, structured environment where he can feel safe, secure, and supported. Because Zero hasn’t had much socialization or enrichment early on, he’s still figuring out how to handle some parts of the world. He can be fearful of strangers, particularly men and children, and occasionally shows resource guarding behavior. He’s not aggressive, but he does need gentle guidance and someone who understands that progress takes time. A calm home without other pets, especially cats, would be the best match for this sensitive soul. Zero is especially suited for someone who’s home often and can provide routine, clear communication, and reassurance. He’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply and gives his whole heart to his trusted person. While he may start off shy or cautious, give him the time and space he needs, and you’ll unlock an affectionate, goofy, water-loving buddy who will be your constant companion! With his strong, playful nature and endearing loyalty, Zero is ready to bloom in the right hands. Could Zero be the companion you've been waiting for? If you're ready to welcome a quirky, affectionate, and spirited friend into your life, reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com!

LION – Male Boxer | 2 Years Old - DOB 11/25/2023 |    50 lbs | Healthy, Vaccinated & Neutered Introducing Lion, the sweetest big-hearted Boxer boy you’ll ever meet! At 2 years old, Lion has that perfect blend of Boxer goofiness and soulful loyalty. He’s playful, affectionate, expressive, and absolutely loves being near his humans. Lion is the type of dog who wiggles when he’s happy, leans in for cuddles, and charms everyone he meets with his warm, gentle nature. Breed Info: Boxers are known for their intelligence, athleticism, and famously silly personalities. They are deeply loyal, people-oriented, and incredibly loving companions. Boxers thrive on interaction, bonding, and being included in family life. Lion reflects the best of his breed — goofy, devoted, and full of heart. Things to Consider Before Adopting Lion: Are you ready for a medium-energy, highly social dog? Do you have the time and stability for daily exercise and bonding? Is your home and landlord dog-friendly? Are you prepared to commit to a dog for the next 10+ years? Are you ready for a dog who wants to be included as part of the family, always? Dogs are forever — not until convenient. Vet Care: Lion is healthy, vaccinated, and neutered. Please take him to your own vet shortly after adoption to set up ongoing care and ensure his continued well-being. The 3-3-3 Rule & Lifelong Commitment: First 3 days: He decompresses and starts to feel safe. First 3 weeks: Lion learns your routine, expectations, and begins trusting fully. First 3 months: He bonds deeply, understanding he is truly home at last. Adoption is forever — and Lion is ready to give his heart unconditionally.
