Story
Thomas was found lost on the streets of LA with an electrical cord wrapped around his neck! He was skinny but still so loving and trusting. We rescued him and got him vaccinated and neutered. We moved to NY a week later so poor Thomas is in boarding, waiting for his forever family. This sweet boy is housebroken, crate-trained, and knows his basic commands. He's about 1 year old and full grown at 50 lbs. Thomas is super affectionate and calm at home. He loves toys and walkies. He is such a loyal pup and bonds quickly to you - he will be his owner's BFF! Thomas loves playing with other dogs and just needs someone to keep up his training since he's a goofy boy. While he has shown some prey drive on walks, he did live with / get along with a cat. Adopt this handsome hunk!

Story
Betty is really cute and has a lot of puppy energy. We've had her for two months and got her from Pasadena Humane Society. We have an 18 month old baby, who she is sweet and gentle with, but we recently found we have another on the way, we work & have a lot going on and it is proving to be too much on us to have her. She needs someone that can spend time with her and get her the training she needs. She's very busy. She loves the dog park and is great with other dogs. She will pay more attention to other dogs than she will to people. We have a neighborhood cat that comes over - Betty is obsessed, but he doesn't want anything to do with her so I'm not sure if she wants to play with him or doesn't like him. We are constantly worried she is going to knock our baby over running by, but it hasn't happened yet. We just feel that we underestimated how much time she would need and we don't feel like we're giving her the life that she deserves. She is a special girl who deserves a special home.

Story
Hi meet Allie Allie is a Lovely American Bulldog/ Hound mix who is about 5 years old and is full grown at around 70lbs. Allie loves playing with her people and toys but is also an amazing snuggler. She is a happy go lucky girl with all who meets her. She would be best as an only dog in the home as she loves the attention and is not a fan of sharing. Allie wants a person/family who will provide her with a life of mental and physical stimulation while keeping her safe and happy. She loves to be with her people, so she needs a plan if there are longer workdays, so she is not spending too much time in a crate. Allie would make a great hiking, running, and walking partner. Allie came to us after being rescued from the shelter system. The independent fellow rescuer that pulled her and Chance wanted to give them a second opportunity to find their forever homes, but they fell ill and needed help, they reached out to TLF for assistance. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. Please find our application at lovejoyfoundation.org when you come to an event please bring that filled out in hand with you. You can find our application at Lovejoyfoundation.org. Please note a Petfinder and Adoptapet Inquiry is not applying for the dog. You have to come to the event or send an email inquiry to our records email.

Story
This very special boy is only 8 months old… and was already out on the streets. This Pit mix should be in a home, learning, playing, and being loved—not trying to survive alone. And yet, despite that start, Woody is one of the sweetest, most social dogs you’ll ever meet. He connects instantly, loves deeply, and carries something truly special in him. He’s neutered, ready, and waiting. Don’t let a dog like this be overlooked. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public.
