LION – Male Boxer | 2 Years Old - DOB 11/25/2023 |    50 lbs | Healthy, Vaccinated & Neutered Introducing Lion, the sweetest big-hearted Boxer boy you’ll ever meet! At 2 years old, Lion has that perfect blend of Boxer goofiness and soulful loyalty. He’s playful, affectionate, expressive, and absolutely loves being near his humans. Lion is the type of dog who wiggles when he’s happy, leans in for cuddles, and charms everyone he meets with his warm, gentle nature. Breed Info: Boxers are known for their intelligence, athleticism, and famously silly personalities. They are deeply loyal, people-oriented, and incredibly loving companions. Boxers thrive on interaction, bonding, and being included in family life. Lion reflects the best of his breed — goofy, devoted, and full of heart. Owner Responsibilities: To help Lion thrive, he’ll need: Daily exercise (walks, play, and engagement) Structure, training, and positive reinforcement Plenty of affection and time with his family A safe, stable home where he won’t be left alone too long Give him routine, purpose, and love — and Lion will give you devotion for life. Things to Consider Before Adopting Lion: Are you ready for a medium-energy, highly social dog? Do you have the time and stability for daily exercise and bonding? Is your home and landlord dog-friendly? Are you prepared to commit to a dog for the next 10+ years? Are you ready for a dog who wants to be included as part of the family, always? Dogs are forever — not until convenient. Vet Care: Lion is healthy, vaccinated, and neutered. Please take him to your own vet shortly after adoption to set up ongoing care and ensure his continued well-being. The 3-3-3 Rule & Lifelong Commitment: First 3 days: He decompresses and starts to feel safe. First 3 weeks: Lion learns your routine, expectations, and begins trusting fully. First 3 months: He bonds deeply, understanding he is truly home at last. Adoption is forever — and Lion is ready to give his heart unconditionally. Why Lion Would Be a Great Addition: Lion is a loyal, affectionate, and joy-filled companion who will bring warmth and love into any home. His expressive Boxer charm, playful energy, and gentle nature make him the kind of dog who forms bonds that last a lifetime. He’ll make you laugh, comfort you on hard days, and love you with everything he has. Story
Amanda is fully recovered and fully ready to be someone’s forever. 🐾 At 8 years young, Amanda is the kind of dog who makes every day feel a little softer, a little sweeter. After losing her home and being overlooked at the shelter, Amanda waited patiently while her younger companions were adopted. With her grey muzzle and medical concerns, she was passed over time and again… until now. Amanda has since had surgery to remove a mass near her eye and has made a complete recovery thanks to the care of her foster family and medical team. Now, she’s thriving in foster care and showing us just how much life and love she still has to give. Amanda is affectionate, curious, and endlessly endearing. She adores soft beds (especially ones with sides!), belly rubs, leisurely walks, and following her people around the house to check on whatever they’re doing... even vacuuming or taking out the trash. While she’s calm and relaxed most of the day, her playful, puppy-like energy shines in the evenings when she gets zoomy and chews on her favorite toys. She loves walks and lights up when she sees her leash, doing a happy little toe-tap dance. She prefers quieter, residential strolls or scenic spots like the Venice canals, but she’s learning to navigate busier environments too, with patience and encouragement. She walks well on leash, enjoys saying hi to friendly dogs, and is respectful of canine companions, even when they’re not in the mood to play. 🩺 Fully recovered from eye surgery 🐕 Dog-social with a respectful, playful style 💤 Calm, affectionate, and loves a cozy couch or soft bed 🏡 Would love a mellow, loving home — ideally with another friendly dog 🚫 Bed-sleeper alert! She will politely ask to join you, but she settles well with boundaries 🐾 House-trained, good with routine, and very food-motivated (slow feeder needed!) 🧼 Enjoys baths, takes meds easily, and loves new toys Amanda is the ultimate best friend: soulful, snuggly, and just the right mix of chill and playful. She’s waited long enough. Now it’s time for her to be truly seen, cherished, and at home for good.

Story
Hi meet Allie Allie is a Lovely American Bulldog/ Hound mix who is about 5 years old and is full grown at around 70lbs. Allie loves playing with her people and toys but is also an amazing snuggler. She is a happy go lucky girl with all who meets her. She would be best as an only dog in the home as she loves the attention and is not a fan of sharing. Allie wants a person/family who will provide her with a life of mental and physical stimulation while keeping her safe and happy. She loves to be with her people, so she needs a plan if there are longer workdays, so she is not spending too much time in a crate. Allie would make a great hiking, running, and walking partner. Allie came to us after being rescued from the shelter system. The independent fellow rescuer that pulled her and Chance wanted to give them a second opportunity to find their forever homes, but they fell ill and needed help, they reached out to TLF for assistance. We hold an event every weekend at our facility on SATURDAY and SUNDAY 11-5pm and open to the public. It is first come first serve we do not evaluate applications prior to an event. If there are multiple interested parties in the same dog or puppy at the same time we would pick the best out of the 10 applications. Please visit our social media platforms for the specifics for each weekend as it changes from week to week. Please find our application at lovejoyfoundation.org when you come to an event please bring that filled out in hand with you. You can find our application at Lovejoyfoundation.org. Please note a Petfinder and Adoptapet Inquiry is not applying for the dog. You have to come to the event or send an email inquiry to our records email.
