Story
Thistle is a sweet 1.5 year old female we adopted about a year ago. She loves to cuddle and run around in the backyard but she is dog aggressive (must be the only dog) and does not like our 2 young children. Thistle would be best in an adult only home with owners that either work from home or are home a lot. She loves attention and definitely needs a fenced backyard to run off her energy in. She is afraid of car rides and walks, 2 things that could be improved on if we had the time to work on. She has worked with professional dog trainers and we would have them help show you all that she has learned. As much as we would miss her, she just doesn’t like our kids. We currently pay $75 a month for pet insurance that covers 90% of vet bills and meds. We are willing to pay a year of pet insurance for Thistle.

Story
This is Thurgood Marshall. He goes by the name of Goody. He is a good boy. He loves snuggles, to play fetch, chewing anything, and playing with big sticks. We got Goody as an 8 week old . We have taken him to get his shots and was recently neutered. Unfortunately, the recent diagnosis of stage 4 cancer of a family member has taken precedence over the care of Goody. Also, we have been unable to give him the attention he deserves. I think he would be a great family dog on a farm. We live in the city but have a 1/2 acre yard for him to run around. However, he likes to sleep indoors and watch his tv. It’s with a heavy heart that we are letting him go. He deserves a good home.

Story
Rocco has spent months waiting for a place to call home. At just 10 months old, he’s still learning what it means to feel safe, to trust, and to let his guard down. Found alongside another dog, his past is a mystery, but one thing is clear—this sweet, loyal boy is ready to find a family who will give him the love and patience he needs to truly shine. Once Rocco knows he can trust you, his true personality starts to emerge. He’s affectionate and playful, eager to soak up every bit of love and attention. He’s the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation—he loves going for walks just as much as he loves curling up for a nap. He’s already house and crate trained and knows basic commands like sit, stay, and lay down. While Rocco adores his people, he needs a little extra time to warm up to strangers, especially men. He’s also selective with other dogs and needs slow introductions to feel comfortable. Because of his nervous nature, he wouldn’t do well in a home with children. What Rocco needs most is a calm, patient family willing to show him that the world isn’t such a scary place. He’s looking for someone who will give him the time he needs to trust, and in return, he’ll offer a lifetime of unwavering loyalty and love. If you can be that person for Rocco, he’s more than ready to meet you. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
