Story
Rocco has spent months waiting for a place to call home. At just 10 months old, he’s still learning what it means to feel safe, to trust, and to let his guard down. Found alongside another dog, his past is a mystery, but one thing is clear—this sweet, loyal boy is ready to find a family who will give him the love and patience he needs to truly shine. Once Rocco knows he can trust you, his true personality starts to emerge. He’s affectionate and playful, eager to soak up every bit of love and attention. He’s the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation—he loves going for walks just as much as he loves curling up for a nap. He’s already house and crate trained and knows basic commands like sit, stay, and lay down. While Rocco adores his people, he needs a little extra time to warm up to strangers, especially men. He’s also selective with other dogs and needs slow introductions to feel comfortable. Because of his nervous nature, he wouldn’t do well in a home with children. What Rocco needs most is a calm, patient family willing to show him that the world isn’t such a scary place. He’s looking for someone who will give him the time he needs to trust, and in return, he’ll offer a lifetime of unwavering loyalty and love. If you can be that person for Rocco, he’s more than ready to meet you. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home. Story
This is Thurgood Marshall. He goes by the name of Goody. He is a good boy. He loves snuggles, to play fetch, chewing anything, and playing with big sticks. We got Goody as an 8 week in January 2025. He goes to the vet regularly. We have tried to keep him (the is the second time posting) Our lifestyle does not fit a big active dog.He needs a yard so if you are in an apartment, I think it would be a bad idea to adopt. He loves to zoom.He takes commands from men very well. He is a great protection dog , a lil goofy very loyal but likes to jump. Which is a problem for me because of my leg issues.I think he would be a great family dog on a farm. We live in the city but have a 1/2 acre yard for him to run around. However, he likes to sleep indoors and watch his tv. It’s with a heavy heart that we are letting him go. He deserves a good home. This is hard for me because I thought I could manage my heavy schedule and my Goody. PLEASE NO APARTMENT RESIDENTS, homes with fenced yards ONLY!

Story
Introducing Maddie! This adorable young lady is a 44 pound sweetheart who was born around 10/04/22. She is a beautiful red fawn bull/terrier mix who is spayed, current on her vaccines and preventatives, and is heartworm negative. Maddie is a social, friendly girl who is good with other dogs of all sizes and activity levels. She is getting better on a leash and used the puppy pad in the cold weather, although she has had few accidents. Miss Maddie thinks she is a human. She loves attention but is content to sit on your feet. She is always at attention, even in her sleep. She loves car rides and likes to barks at every 18 wheeler. She’s not a fan of the foster family’s farm pig or cat. They think she just doesn’t understand why we do not eat them. If you find space in your heart and home for Miss Maddie she will take care of you, not the other way around. Please set up a meet and greet with Maddie ASAP. She needs to find her forever home with her new forever family. So please submit an application TODAY! Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee. MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—>PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/TAP/2450-michigan-adoption Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications. The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport. Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas pup a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!

My Granddaughter left him behind and unfortunately I can't care for him. Bruce is a Great Dog, he loves to cuddle, play he is definitely family dog he loves people and kids. The only problem he has is that he love to jump he is a little hyper, I'm sure it will stop the more he gets older. Myself if I was younger I wouldn't be writing this I'm going on 70 years old and my Husband has Parkinson's Disease, we just can't care for him. Just so you know he is a Pit-Boxers he's a nice looking puppy. All I can say who ever take him are getting a Great Puppy Dog.

❤️ MEET RITZ — PROFESSIONAL HOMEBODY, PART-TIME WEIRDO & FULL-TIME LOVE BUG ❤️ Ritz has been with us for nearly a year, and we would really, really love for his person to finally find him. We know somewhere out there is someone who isn’t looking for the dog who shines at an adoption event. They’re looking for the dog who will shine at home with them and that’s Ritz. 🥹 You might wonder how this handsome, short little 40 pound guy has been overlooked for so long. Well… Ritz is kind of a mess at adoption events. 😂 Can you blame him? People everywhere. Dogs everywhere. Cats. Kids. Noise. Strangers wanting to say hello. Ritz would like to formally decline participation in all of that nonsense. He’s a homebody. Give this boy a house, a fenced backyard, a pond to splash around in, and his people nearby, and suddenly you get to see the REAL Ritz. ❤️ He currently lives with four other dogs and does great with his crew. Dogs he doesn’t know can make him nervous, though, and sometimes he’s not quite sure what to do with those feelings. Can he go for walks? Absolutely! He enjoys exploring, but Ritz notices EVERYTHING. A person sitting somewhere he doesn’t expect? Suspicious. Kids suddenly racing around? Questionable. Something out of place? 🚨 Ritz Security Services has been notified. 😂 Do we think he can continue working through some of these things? Absolutely. But we’re not looking for someone who wants to turn Ritz into a social butterfly. We’re looking for someone who can love the dog he already is while helping him become a little braver along the way. His perfect home would have a fairly normal routine, a fenced backyard, and people who enjoy a calmer home life. Someone patient. Someone who understands that sensitive dogs sometimes need a minute to decide the world isn’t ending. And in return? You get a dog who loves deeply. Ritz loves attention and will happily stay close for pets and snuggles. He’s not bouncing off the walls all day. He’s more of a play for a while, investigate the backyard, make sure everything is secure, then climb onto the couch and call it a day kind of guy. He does well in his crate and goes in when it’s time to eat. He’s a good boy in the car, too and has been known to fall asleep while gazing into your eyes. 🥹❤️ Honestly, how do you not fall in love with that? Ritz doesn’t need a perfect person. He needs his person. Someone patient enough to let him take things at his own pace. Someone who doesn’t need their dog to love every stranger or attend every event. Someone who sees a sensitive little soul and thinks, “You know what? We can figure life out together.” Because underneath the nerves and the quirks is one incredibly sweet, funny, loyal little dog who just wants a place where he knows he belongs. Nearly a year is a long time to wait for forever. Maybe Ritz has just been waiting for you. ❤️🐾
