Story
Odie is a handsome boy who loves attention and will politely ask for it from anyone. His beautiful brindle and white coat glisten in the sunlight, making him look magestic. He`s currently in a short term foster who says, ` He gets major wiggle butt when he’s given love and attention. He seems to know outside and kennel and is good with kids and dogs that are smaller than he is. He also likes to stealthily sneak into your lap if he sees the opportunity!` Odie would make a wonderful companion for anyone without cats, as true to his name`s sake Odie is not a fan of cats.

Story
If you haven`t been dazzled by his handsomeness yet Thomas`s loving personality should do the trick. He`s quite the calm and laidback flirt. Just pet him for a second and before you know it you`re on the receiving end of lots of sweet kisses! He`s super friendly and has an average energy level: he can be calm and sit next to you for hours, but he`s also happy to run around and play. Thomas doesn`t show very much interest in toys, but he`s VERY interested in treats and is always happy to sit on command for one. He`s been working on learning to lay on command as well, and seems to already be potty trained.

Story
“Find a penny, pick it up. All day long you’ll have good luck.” Our Penny girl has been waiting for someone to pick her up since 5/23/23. And since she’s always heads up she’s EXTRA lucky. She’s bound to bring you more than just a day’s worth of luck. Penny is a social butterfly. She loves to spend time with people. Whether you want to play or just relax and pet her – she can happily do either. She’s always such a happy girl who does her best to put a smile on the face of everyone she meets. She’s smart too! She’s mastered the command sit and will happily do so for a treat. She also loves to zoom around in our play yards and get rid of some energy.

Story
**Available for foster or adopt** Currently in boarding. Hello, my name is Tiny Tim! I am a beautiful Bulldog/Boxer Mix that was found roaming around lost in a neighborhood. I do well with dogs my size (with a slow introduction) and I did great with my finder's kids.  I am fully potty trained and reliably know kennel (though I insist on a treat), sit, and shake. I am working on a few more basics like down, leave it, drop it, and proper leash etiquette. I also love the water, splashing around in kiddie pool is awesome! I am capable of being left alone in house without destroying anything but truly love having toys to carry around, squeak on and toss. I am looking for an assertive leader who can keep me physically and mentally stimulated, continue my leash training and follow through with basic obedience training to learn boundaries. I'm a big energetic goof but I forget manners in public and act a little crazy, so I do need to someone willing to work with me on this. Inside though, I'm much calmer and like to be near people. I just completed heartworm treatment, but no worries, it won't stop my heart from loving you. My adoption fee is $200 locally in Houston, TX and $350 out of state (includes health certificate and travel fee). I am up to date on my vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Don’t let the sugar face fool you! Rose is fully prepared for all fun. She’s still got lots of play left in her but she’s mature enough to know her manners. She walks well on a leash and is ready to befriend all people. She already knows how to sit on command for a treat too! Rose typically has an average energy level. She enjoys being pet, but she doesn’t want to sit still for too long! She likes walking around and exploring, and can keep herself entertained if need be. Every now and then she’ll get excited and her playful side will come out.

No, Mickey’s not grimacing at you. He’s much too friendly for that! He just has floppy cheeks and an under bite, so his lips often get stuck on his teeth and he doesn’t care enough to fix it. That’s the Bulldog mix in him! It makes him look like he’s mean mugging you when that’s just what his face does naturally sometimes. It makes for some great pics though! Mickey is actually quite the gentleman. He’s great on a leash and mostly calm. He’s got a medium energy level and can keep himself entertained in the play yard. He’s not the least bit needy…until you pull the treats out! He loves his treats and focuses really well to earn them. He already knows how to sit on command for one. Great with dogs and cats! Currently living in a foster home with NINE cats and two other dogs. Very sweet and loving with a lower energy level.

Story
Gypsy is available for either in-state adoption or adoption and transport to another state. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down here so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Gypsy is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog I have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy does well with all dogs but gets along best with male dogs. She is normally good around small dogs but occasionally mistakes one for a toy when she is over-excited. So she is not recommended for homes with small dogs. She is not too fond of puppies getting in her face either. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with children. She could perhaps use more obedience training with someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is very sweet. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. She must be in the house as a loved family member, and she needs a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. Gypsy came from a bad home. She was not being fed and was severely underweight. So the people surrendered Gypsy and her puppies to animal control to avoid animal cruelty charges. Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited and we now know that comes from the Boxer in her. Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs 70 pounds (she only weighed 35 pounds when we got her). Gypsy is healthy. She is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. We used the slow-kill method (we are happy to explain this) and she is now negative for heartworms and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. We would love Gypsy to have a fabulous forever home and we will consider both in-state and out-of-state applications. Her in-state adoption fee is $200. Her out-of-state adoption fee is $450 and includes the cost of ground transport. She can be transported almost anywhere within the continental United States. Gypsy is located in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. Please send an email to 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting this very good girl. Cute face no? I am a petite mix of a few things, but very happy and agreeable. I'm housetrained, and get on great with my doggie housemate. Check out my favorite place to nap - on the blankie with the toys close by. I was found running in traffic, but who cares about that stuff now. I'm spoiled and loving my life. Give me a call.

Story
Reginald's finder said you will absolutely love him. He is a needy social butterfly who never wants to be alone. He loves being petted and sitting on a lap. He weighs 32 pounds and is very active. He likes car rides, fetch, running, toys, walks, water, and wrestling. He is well behaved on a leash. He is working very hard on house training and just needs a little more guidance and practice. He is friendly and playful with other dogs and wants to play with dogs he meets during walks and at the dog park. He still feels the need to bark at them though. He got into trouble for barking and jumping up. He is starting to learn sit and stay. He has no experience with children yet. Please consider adding lovable Reginald to your home. I am a sweet, shy young man who was abandoned by my owner and Loving Arms stepped up to keep me off the nasty streets. I do have a tendency to drool. I get along with other dogs but am not sure about cats. Bring in your dog and let’s see if we can make a good match. Got both of my ACLs fixed and am a HAPPY boy with lots of energy! I’d love to take a walk with you on my new knees and show you how well I am walking now.

Story
Zaya has all the abundance of energy you'd expect from a young girl like her. She is into rough housing to make play time more fun. She already weighs 45 pounds and plans to be significantly bigger someday. She knows the sit command and is already house trained. When she needs to go out, she'll stand by the door and move the blinds. If you don't have blinds, she may get confused. She spent her days either crated up to four hours or freely roaming the house. She likes to lead the way on a leash in case you aren't sure which direction to go. If she runs away while off leash, she'll come back if you call her. With other dogs, she is friendly, playful, rough, and tolerant. She wants to play with dogs she meets during walks and at the dog park. She is playful with cats. With children, she is playful, rough, jumpy, and mouthy so she would be better with older ones. Until she gets some training under her belt, she'll need to live with kids at least nine years old. She loves running, ropes, balls, frisbees, and toys of all kinds. Sometime she likes being petted, but mostly she couldn't care less. She was given up because of her owner's health. She got into typical puppy trouble for chewing and racing out the door. Please offer this social butterfly the home and family she needs. (tw 3/29/2024)Click "Play" to meet Zaya. Kratos is a handsome hunk of love! He greets everyone who comes up to his kennel with lots of tail wags and kisses…not to mention his gorgeous eyes! Kratos loves to be around people and get attention. He also loves the noise squeaky toys make! He has an average energy level, but gets so excited when you bring the treats out that he`ll start dancing. He`ll sit on command, but he`s so pumped to earn that treat that he shakes with excitement. He`s a BIG fan of snacks! He comes by his 55 lbs honestly. Kratos is a playgroup rockstar! He`s gotten along well with every dog we`ve introduced him to in shelter and is good at matching their vibes. If they want to relax he`ll do the same, but if they want to play he`s ready for that too!

Story
Angelo is one of many great dogs who have been waiting at FBCAS for over a year to find a loving home. He’s been with us since 9/19/22. He looks a little over excited in his kennel, but once out and loose in the play yard he’s much more cool, calm, and collected. He’s got a lower energy level and is perfectly happy to amuse himself by puttering around and sniffing all the smells. Unless he`s got other dogs to play with. He enjoys playing with other dogs in shelter playgroups and if they`re feeling playful he`s feeling playful! Angelo does his best to come across as a refined gentleman…but the effect is somewhat ruined by his being a drooly boy. It’s still cute, just in a different way. It’s clear he’s a smarty pants though as he already knows how to sit on command. He LOVES treats…they’re a great way to kick start the drool!

Story
Berry is full of life and energy! She`s for sure a girl that can run for miles, but despite her high energy level she loves cuddling with you! She loves to be pet. At her young age she still has some puppyish manners like jumping up on people, but she’s working on it! She’s just always so excited to be hanging out with you. She’s just a silly girl! An example of this `silly girl-ness` is that she has been spotted `blowing bubbles with her mouth` in one of our kiddy pools at our shelter. It was a very cute moment! Berry has been looking for her forever home since 12/20/22. A household that has lots of love and patience for our sweet Berry would be the perfect place for her to thrive in! Especially if they have a yard for her to run and play in! She’s a very happy girl who is sure to keep you entertained! She`s also entertaining to other dogs and loves having doggy playmates to run around with.
