Story
When you eat your Thanksgiving turkey- will you think of me?? I will be right next to you trying to get it... NOW will you think of me?? LOL, ok, I kid.... I do love turkey though :) I am Wishbone, and I am a bull terrier/beagle mixed boy with a story to tell! I am so smart like a bull terrier- somewhat stubborn, like a bull terrier, but I follow my NOSE like a beagle! I am super cute, only about 40# and I am pretty active. I love to have a hard playing buddy, no small animals (like kitties) as I have a prey drive- like a bull terrier.. you see where I am going with this, right?? I would love have an active family, kids older than grade school as I love a moving target and smaller ones don't quite understand that. I am a love bug, and once tired out I am the bestest cuddler! So, what are you waiting for? Look me up, take me on adventures when you apply to adopt me! ADOPT, DON'T SHOP!!!! MY LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Kilo – your potential new best friend! This spirited and lively boy is on the lookout for a loving family to call his own. Sadly, his current family’s long work hours mean they can't give Kilo the time and attention he truly deserves. Kilo comes with some fantastic perks: he's leash and crate trained, and fully housebroken. While his strength might make him a bit too much for very small children, he’s perfect for a family that can handle his energetic walks. What’s more, Kilo is fiercely loyal, making him the perfect companion for anyone ready to welcome a devoted friend into their home. Are you the strong, loving handler Kilo is waiting for? Take the leap and let Kilo bring joy and loyalty into your life! Why consider adopting from Texas? Our state faces a significant animal crisis, and we urgently need compassionate families like yours to provide these pups with the loving homes they deserve. Ready to welcome a new furry family member? These delightful pups will be ready for transport after the 4th of July! Story
Lily is a 2 1/2-year-old bull terrier that was rescued from an abusive home in Texas. She spent a few months with a foster and has been with us since October. Sadly, we have to let her go as she has been increasingly aggressive with the other dogs in the house and we do not have enough space to keep them apart. Lily is dog-selective and will need to live in a home without other pets. Lily is a very sweet girl and a pretty typical bull terrier. She has a lot of energy and loves to run and play, but will adapt to a more laid-back, loungy lifestyle as long as she has a nice chew toy or lap to cuddle in. She loves all humans and is generally eager to please them, but true to her breed she can be very stubborn and can become hyper-focused on a task or something in her environment and effectively ignore all attempts to get her attention or re-direct her. Fortunately, she is highly food-motivated and learns quickly with the right motivation and consistent rules.

Story
Bobby is our Staff Pick! Animal Care and Adoption Specialist Peter says, "Bobby is a sweet, special boy! He likes to get out and about, is great on his walks, and loves agility! I like to visit him when he's getting some play time, and he'll run right up to me, lean into me and give me face kisses with that long nose of his. Sometimes he's anxious about the world, but it's a very rewarding experience to help comfort him and make him feel better, because he always appreciates you for it. It can take some time to earn that trust from him, but once you do, he's full of love and very attached to his people. It always feels like he wants to see me and doesn't want me to leave."Bobby is ready to find his best friend! This handsome 7-year-old is eager to charm you, woo you, and be your shadow through it all. Bobby can be a sensitive guy and is looking for a dog-experienced, adult only home that can give him all the mental enrichment, exercise, and socialization he needs. And a home that can give him all the time he needs to settle into his new environment. Once he's comfortable he loves to play, go for walks, and enjoys eating treats. In fact, he's a little chubby because he loves treats so much! Bobby is looking to be the only pet in his new home and is looking for a house in a quiet area. If you're ready to welcome home this lovely lad, send in an adoption application today! Bobby's adoption fee is waived in thanks to our Pay it Forward program. *Bobby is currently in a foster home and not located in the shelter.#playful #nodogs #nocats #lovesfoodtreats
