Story
She was found and rescued as a puppy from the side of a road in North Carolina during June of 2020, and was estimated to be approximately 8 weeks old at that time. She has lived with her current owners ever since. Recce has thrived in a full loving home of two adults and three kids as a family dog. She has always been great with the children and displayed maternal care when presented with new puppy siblings as a young adult. Since a puppy, she has grown up with a male English Lab of similar age. Her Lab counterpart seemed to compliment her well and was her first k9 socialization. At around 2 years of age she gained the aformentioned siblings, a puppy male German shepard and shortly later a puppy female Husky mix. Recce was observed displaying maternal behavior and care for each puppy during the early stages of their growth. All this time, Recce has seemingly maintained her position as the alpha of the group.

Story
Koda is seeking a quiet home to live out her senior years.... though she's not quite ready to be called a senior! Her DOB is August 12, 2016, making her seven years young. She is good with other dogs, but who does she really love? PEOPLE! Koda has never lived with children, but older children would be just fine. She loves her daily walks, carrots and other snacks, car rides and just hanging out. She likes affection, but she can have an "aloof" side to her too, so if you're looking for a dog who will love you but knows when to quit, Koda may be your girl! She's content to take a nap and chill. While Koda has never lived with a cat, she did encounter one in her foster home's backyard the other day, and her reaction was good, so cats are a maybe??? Koda is used to her crate, including sleeping in it at night, and she is completely housetrained. We are increasingly doing "foster-to-adopt" arrangements, so if you'd like to take this pup for a trial period before committing, we're good with that. Just ask the adoption counselor! It's a great way to make sure that everyone's a good fit for each other before signing on the dotted line. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Interested in adopting this or another POPP dog? Please complete our adoption questionnaire found at: https://www.popptricities.org/adopt/adoption-questionnaire-canine/ If you have any questions. please E-mail us at dogsadopt@popptricities.org. ADOPTION PACKAGES: Our puppy or dog adoption fee of $200 includes a lovable, non-judgmental canine companion, and a free vet exam. All dogs will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoption. Your adoption fee helps support POPP and our spay/neuter efforts in the community to end overpopulation of cats and dogs.

Story
Cooper is one of those amazing pups that has been waiting for his forever home since he was only 8 weeks old. “Everyone wants a puppy!” Is the common thought, but if that is true, why is Cooper now a year old and still not in his forever home? Cooper is good with kids, other dogs and he find cats interesting. He has been to training classes, likes learning new things, doing new things and requires regular exercise (not just a back yard to hang out in). Being a bully breed, Cooper does have allergy issues and is on a daily medication. His foster is awaiting test results to learn what all he is allergic to. He may even require a special diet to keep his allergies at bay. If you are committed to meeting the needs of this amazing pup, please fill out our adoption questionnaire. We are increasingly doing "foster-to-adopt" arrangements, so if you'd like to take this pup for a trial period before committing, we're good with that. Just ask the adoption counselor! Story
Hello, Moppet and I met 3 years ago as a foster. Eventually, I adopted; but keeping him/providing a stable home has been a challenge for me. All of his medical and dental needs have been addressed; he’s a healthy boy of about 10 years old. Moppet sleeps a lot and would do well in a household that isn’t too active; but still gives him enthusiastic walks and daily playtime. With professional training, he could be fine with other dogs; I simply don’t have the resources for that. This is a brutally difficult situation for us and I’ll miss him terribly; but it’s important he be given the best home possible. The adoption fee will include his dog bed, food, medication and everything else you need for the first 4-6 weeks. He has some dietary issues, but nothing major. Also, he sleeps with his humans and needs a home with non-smokers. If you smoke, or vape, moppet is not for you. Kids over 7 are ok. This has become time sensitive. For the perfect home, I’m willing to waive the adoption fee.
