Story
Meet Baby Girl! This gorgeous gal is a Bull Terrier who was born approximately November 2021. Here is a little bit about her: she wound up at the local shelter due to no fault of her own until Mikey’s pulled her into the program so they could find her her best fit home. She is very people oriented and loves to go on walks (check out her smile)! Baby Girl would thrive in an active home with a securely fenced yard. She would do best in a cat free home without other small animals but another canine friend of similar size and energy level (she prefers males) would be great as well as an only dog home. We are seeking a home for her with adults or adults and children over 5. Applications for foster and adoption can be found at www.mikeyschance.com

Story
Animal Profile: Charlotte is an estimated 4-year-old, 48 lb spayed female bull terrier/shepherd mix who lived most her life on a chain having litter after litter until her family up and moved and left her. She was taken in by our rescue partner in Oklahoma, where she became an inside dog -- she quickly learned house training and crate training, and was described as "absolutely fabulous." She joined Dog Gone Seattle in August 2023.  Seattle Foster Update: Charlotte, or Charlie as she is affectionately called, has learned so much in just a few short months. From the chain to a cherished family member, Charlie is affectionate, loyal, smart, and loving. With professional trainer guidance, she has mastered basic commands including sit, down, place, and come, and is working on loose leash walking. She now walks well on a leash in a quiet neighborhood but does demonstrate prey drive, especially for little critters such as squirrels and bunnies outside, so requires a confident handler. She is cat-neutral, and has lived in both foster homes with multiple cats; she would do fine in a home even with a nervous cat. She is not reactive to other dogs outside the home but does show some resource guarding toward other dogs (not people) for her crate/bed and at times her people inside the home, so may be easier as an only dog. She’s happy to chill during the day and loves to snuggle with her people. She loves having a large fenced yard where she can run and play as she lives for fetch. She will need a savvy adopter familiar with the level of leadership as well as the mental and physical stimulation required by her breed, and who is committed to continuing her training. Private training support will be included with adoption.  Adopter Profile: Adult only home Large breed experience required Herding breed experience preferred Secure fenced yard required Balanced dogs considered Cats OK Commitment to ongoing training Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Take home training session will be included with adoption. Your donation may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Tulsa Animal Control in Oklahoma and arrived in the Seattle area via Furry Freight on 8/13//2023. She is being fostered in the greater Seattle area and has received professional training with Dog B Good in Federal Way. December 8, 2023, 5:50 pm

Story
Hi I am Nina, I had a pretty tough life before I was rescued by my foster family. The people who had me made me fight with other dogs and then breed me to have puppies who would then be made to fight. It was really no life for a dog. But now, I feel like I have a second chance to just be a dog. I might look scary but really, I am the one who needs some confidence. Once I know you and your dogs I love to play and can be very affectionate. My foster family has a young baby and I know I need to be gentle with her. I just love to sit and watch her. One thing I need to tell you is that I don’t like cats or other small animals, I feel like I have to chase them. Car rides are fun especially if we end up at the beach. I love the beach and I am a pretty good swimmer too.I am an old gal who is pretty set in my ways so you can try to teach me new things, but I am pretty stubborn. I am just looking for a family where I can belong and live out my life in peace. If you think you could be that family, then just fill out the application and we can meet over a Zoom call.Lots of love to give,Nina To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. There you will see any videos, more photos and details.
