Story
When you eat your Thanksgiving turkey- will you think of me?? I will be right next to you trying to get it... NOW will you think of me?? LOL, ok, I kid.... I do love turkey though :) I am Wishbone, and I am a bull terrier/beagle mixed boy with a story to tell! I am so smart like a bull terrier- somewhat stubborn, like a bull terrier, but I follow my NOSE like a beagle! I am super cute, only about 40# and I am pretty active. I love to have a hard playing buddy, no small animals (like kitties) as I have a prey drive- like a bull terrier.. you see where I am going with this, right?? I would love have an active family, kids older than grade school as I love a moving target and smaller ones don't quite understand that. I am a love bug, and once tired out I am the bestest cuddler! So, what are you waiting for? Look me up, take me on adventures when you apply to adopt me! ADOPT, DON'T SHOP!!!! MY LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)

Sweet Alba. How can you not love that adorable face Alba is a 2 year old Sharpei mix. Unfortunately she didn't have a good life as was found taking cover and hiding out in the bathroom stalls at the Missions baseball field. All that is behind her now and she is ready for her own family!! Alba's great with dogs, not sure about cats. She does a cute little dance when waiting for her food in her crate. Loves to play but sometimes does get a bit overly excited. Please share and help find her furever home. Story
Special Considerations: no apartments, other pets or children This is Snookums: the silliest and smartest dog we have! She’s very fun, a little feisty, and ready for her best friend. She loves wearing clothes and likes to get them all out when she’s ready for a fashion show. She doesn’t like to share attention so she should not live with other animals. She wears a muzzle on walks, she can pass dogs outside without incident and responds very well to redirection. She’s fully crate and potty trained and is hoping for someone who will continue to work on her socialization. She is incredibly intelligent and food motivated and loves to please! She likes agility hoops and tunnels and loves the pool when it’s warm! She is sweet with people, prefers to drink running water and loves to be carried like a baby. If you're ready for the cutest companion, call to learn more about Snookums! Snookums is current on vaccines, spayed and microchipped.

Story
HAPPIEST DOG EVER ALERT!! Hera is one happy, happy dog. She is described as not having a mean bone in her body and there isn't a single thing that she hasn't liked! Hera loves to go on runs with her human foster brother. Sometimes she pulls on the leash some, but she is correcting well. She is working on commands and manners. Sometimes she gets a little too excited about something and may jump, but she is learning quickly. Some of her favorite things are to play with her doggie foster brothers & sisters, who are each under 20 pounds. Hera understands that they are smaller than her and is so very gentle when playing with them. Toy time is the best time of day!! Hera makes all day long "toy time" though, as she has one in her mouth almost every waking minute. She is happy to share her toys and if one of the others wants one, she lets them have it, doesn't try and get it back and just goes and gets another. If no one is available to play with her toys with her, she is perfectly happy playing with them all by herself!! In the middle of all the runs, toys, playtime and learning; Hera loves nothing more than to love on her person, be in the lap, give sweet kisses and receive belly rubs. We are confident that Hera would do well in just about any household as long as she has exercise, a person who will love her as much as she would love them and a snuggle buddy for the middles!! Please be aware that all of our pets are in foster care in South Texas. They are transported to their new homes once adopted. We are 100% volunteer based, so it could take a day or 2 before we are able to process an application. If you are interested in adopting an animal, please fill out our adoption application using the blue Apply To Adopt button above and someone will review it shortly!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Klint is a 6-7 year-old boxer/bully mix weighing around 60 lbs. He has tons of personality which makes him so much fun to be around. Klint’s favorite things include having “his” humans call his name to get his attention (he’ll RUN to meet you wherever you are), playing fetch, and eating cheese. He loves going for walks, curling up for long naps on rainy days, and thinks that Dick’s hamburgers might be the best food in the world. Klint’s ideal home would have a fenced in backyard where he can stretch, lie in the sun, and keep on the lookout for squirrels and birds. He also loves a good back scratch on dry grass! He’s been living with a foster family, where he’s impressed them with his good behavior, loving demeanor, and manners. He’s also shown to be incredibly smart, learning quickly what’s expected of him in the household. He needs to be the only pet and has reacted in the past with other animals. Given his energy level, he’d do best in a house without small children or frequent visitors/strangers. Unfortunately, Klint has been bounced in and out of a few homes as they didn't have time for him, leaving him alone for 12-13 hours per day. Due to this, he is a dog that does not want to be left alone for long periods of time and prefers a family that will give him the time and attention he deserves. Klint was mistreated by a man previously and now can be a bit apprehensive around new men. He may take a while to warm up to new people, but once he trusts them, he’s all in. Klint is neutered, UTD on his shots and micro-chipped. His adoption fee is $200.00.

Story
Cody is a 5 - 6 year old Boxer mix who is looking for a loving, active and structured forever home! He is sweet but had a rough beginning so will need a rescue experienced home that will help him build trust, learn basic obedience and gain confidence. He will bond to his people and loves attention and affection. He loves treats and is glad to work for them! He has not had a lot of training so will need support with continued basic obedience. He is looking for a home that is adult only or with kids over the age of 16. He will thrive in a home where he can be active, he loves to run around, go for walks, and would make an excellent outdoor activity partner. Cody can do well with other dogs but it is always best to do proper introductions to make sure it is a good match and that all parties 'mesh'. Cody would do best in a home with a large fenced yard where he can run, roam and play. Cody is UTD on shots, has had a dental, is microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.
