Story
I adopted Emery right before the start of COVID. She was super timid and had dental issues that were cared for in the shelter. Over the years, I’ve adopted more dogs and cats and she had no problems with them until the birth of my kids. We had to move the dogs from sleeping in our room to the living room and she did not like that change. She started urinating on the carpet (though she still uses the litter boxes) and hasn’t stopped since. We’ve taken her to the vet several times, tried different techniques, and the vet determined that it is a behavioral issue due to our dogs.Since we have two kids that are now crawling and walking, we can’t have her peeing on the carpet anymore. We’d love to find her a warm, calm house for her to finish out her years. She is so cuddly and sweet, loves to talk to you, and still gets the zoomies at her age! She’s great with kids, and loves to sunbathe! We are so heartbroken to be losing her. Please reach out if you are interested.

Story
Meet Cuttie Pie 💕And yes, she absolutely lives up to her name.Cutie Pie is a dilute tortie and is the kind of cat who doesn’t just love you… she adores you. The second you touch her, she melts into purrs and the cutest little chirps, like she’s having a full conversation about how happy she is to be with you. If you’ve been looking for a true cuddle bug, this is your girl. She’s got a little bit of a “wonky” charm that makes her even more irresistible. One of her teeth is broken, giving her the silliest, most endearing smile, and her notched ear just adds to her unique beauty and story. She’s perfectly imperfect in the best way.Cutie Pie is bold in her affection, no shyness here. She wants all the love and will happily soak up every bit of attention you give her. She gets along well with other cats and will tolerate dogs… with a bit of grace (and maybe a side-eye or two). Her only little quirk? Doorways can be suspicious. She sometimes needs a gentle pep talk to pass through them. 🤭💕Please do not use autofill on adoption application. Story
Ty is this wonderful playful talkative boy cat who does not like living with our other cat. We have had to separate them for 10 years and now moved into a new house that is not working out so well. One cat has to be in the basement by themselves all day and we switch them, but we can tell that both cats are not as happy with this situation. We think it is best for Ty to live with a family that does not have other pets because he loves attention and being with humans. It breaks our hearts to separate with him, but we want him to be happy.

Story
Roxy is a sweet, young brown tabby gal. Roxy may have missed out on some socialization when she was young, but with time she came to love and trust her person. With her previous guardian, she was friendly and cuddly. Unfortunately, her best friend is no longer able to take care of her so she`s looking for a quiet, patient home where she can enjoy a new bestie or two. Watching her slowly come out of her shell, knowing you are her safe space, is a unique kind of magic that Roxy wants to help you experience. While she might hide when the doorbell rings, her new family will be rewarded with quiet purrs and a loyal companion. At this time, HSBV will only rehome Roxy to a household with children over the age of 12. Roxy does not have any experience living with other cats or dogs, but with a slow and steady introduction, she may enjoy their company.
