Didi was adopted in early 2019 by a mother and daughter. Shortly after, the mother passed. In October 2025, the daughter passed, leaving behind four cats. She’s a little unsure around men since she’s met very few, but she warms up quickly. Are you interested in switching from being a dog person to a cat person? You should meet Didi! (pronounced DeeDee) She’s an energetic, independent dilute calico who loves to play. One of her favorite games is chasing ping pong balls!DiDi is funny and smart! There’s not a drawer in the house she hasn’t figured out how to open so she can take a nap inside. She’s not much of a cuddler until it’s bedtime. One is yellow and the other blue. He's big cat who loves his humans. He likes to lay on top of you or right next to you. He also loves to give kisses. When he's content his tongue sticks out. He enjoys his cat treats along with canned food.Zoey is a beautiful 4 year old calico. She is a little reserved in the beginning, but once she gets comfortable she will also lay on you or next to you. She likes to roll on her back for short tummy rubs too. She'll give some kisses too and enjoys her treats and canned food also.Both cats are great companions. Will probably do better with older children. Not sure if they've been around dogs but as long as the dog is passive with the proper introductions it should be ok. They have been ok with other cats in the foster home. Cricket is a 12 year old neutered female calico. She is an indoor cat and has been with only one family all her life. Her owner passed away and we already have pets of our own that aren’t so welcoming to her so thats why we are having to find her a home. Ideally someone older in age since that’s what she is used to. She also loves kids when she gets familiarized with them. She is litter box trained, doesn't prefer other cats, dogs no problem. She is very affectionate and shy at first, loves belly rubs and sunny spots. If you want a cat that will sit with you then she is your kitty cat.

Their litter was bottle-fed after their mother wasn't able to care for them, so she grew up with lots of love and human attention. She's affectionate, playful, and full of personality. She is sweet, gentle, and more of a homebody. She loves cozy indoor spaces and one-on-one attention. She does well with children and also does well with calm dogs but ours will try to be playful and chase her which stresses her out. We also have her bonded brother, Yoda, that we want to rehome and have them to stay together. Yoda is also listed on Adopt A Pet.

Meet Tarzan — the ultimate tree-swinging, adventurous spirit! This feral guy was a challenge to catch, and he’s still a little wary of humans . Tarzan isn’t ready to trust people just yet, but he LOVES other cats and can tolerate calm dogs . Kids? Not his cup of tea — he prefers a peaceful, kitty-filled environment. Once you’ve earned a few minutes of his trust, he’ll tolerate gentle snuggles and may even purr . As soon as he’s ready, he’ll dash off like his tail’s on fire! Tarzan would thrive in a home with energetic feline friends to play and romp with — humans are optional for now. Ella was part of a colony that was cleared in Castle Hayne, NC. She is very affectionate, sweet and playful. She originally tested positive for FeLV, but we have recently retested her for a negative result. This means she may have had it as a kitten, but her immuned system fought it off and contained it to numbers that are no longer measurable. it is best in this situation to be prepared to retest every couple of years for a while. Her best friend is Maria, also in the same position. Ideally they could be adopted together to a home with no other cats.
