Story
Meet Veronica Veronica is a stunning calico girl with a heart as beautiful as her markings. Recently rescued, she has an easy-going, affectionate nature that suggests she once knew the comforts of a home—and she’s clearly ready to have one again.  Veronica adores attention and gentle affection. One of her favorite pastimes is lounging on a sunny windowsill, watching the trees sway and birds flutter by. She gets along wonderfully with other cats, and based on her calm, sweet temperament, she would likely do well with gentle children. While she hasn’t been tested with dogs, she may be open to a calm, cat-friendly canine companion.  This lovely girl has been patiently waiting for a family to call her own. If you have big windows, a warm couch, and room in your heart, Veronica would love to fill your home with quiet companionship and affection.  Please submit our no-obligation Adoption Application for a meet and greet or to adopt:  https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  Not ready to adopt?  Please consider fostering:  https://forgottencats.org/foster-a-cat/.   Thank you! January 17, 2026, 4:24 pm

Story
Bonded Pair of Lap Cats!!!  Are you ready for double the love in your home?  This pair of love bugs is what you've been looking for.  Found on the street together, Bradley and Angelina were each others' only support system out in the cold.  Once inside, they continued to be best friends.  Both of these gentle and laid-back lap kitties absolutely love getting pets and kisses from their foster family.    Having gone through some hard times together on the street, their bond is inseparable. Their favorite activities are grooming each other, snuggling together and showing their foster mom all the love in the world. They especially love sleeping in their foster mom's bed curled up next to her.     These kitties are both FeLV positive and should only be with other FeLV kitties. FeLV kitties can live long and healthy lives. It is strictly a feline illness and cannot be spread to humans or dogs.   We also think they would be fine with a kitty-friendly dog, given the proper introduction.   If you are looking for a ready-made emotional support system of love, please fill out our no obligation adoption application!   Please submit a no-obligation application for a meet and greet or to adopt today: https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  Thank you!  (Foster:  Stacy and Rachel)January 17, 2026, 4:24 pm

Story
Come meet Briar!! Briar is a calico with gorgeous markings. We are thinking Briar’s age is between 3 to 5 years old. I must say though this girl loves to play. Her favorite is chasing her feather string toys. Most of the day Briar spends sleeping in her window bed or watching out the window as life goes by outside. Briar has a laid-back personality. She loves being pet and brushed. If you scratch the sweet spot just above her tail – that’s it - you’re friends forever.  Briar currently lives with a few other cats in her foster home as well as an extra-large dog. Briar seems to be indifferent with the other cats and cautious with her movements around the dog. Briar loves people and getting all the attention. Could Briar fit into your family? Briar is good with: Children: Yes, but I would suggest older children  Cats: Maybe. Briar seems to avoid the other in her foster home. It doesn’t seem like she is looking for any feline friends at the moment.  Dogs: Briar currently lives with an extra-large (100 lb +) dog. She seems to be cautious around the dog but non-confrontational. But I think she would be okay with a smaller dog or one that is not interested in playing with her. Briar is playing with her foster family. Please submit a no-obligation application for a meet and greet or to adopt today: https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/.  Thank you!  (Foster: Sonia G.).January 9, 2026, 4:49 pm

Story
Willow is approximately 5 years old and came to live with us when a previous owner in the military had to relocate. Willow was spayed and had her front claws removed before coming to live with us. She can be a cuddly cat but will nip( I hate to say bite because it doesn’t hurt or break skin) because she doesn’t have nails to warn or protect herself. She tends to latch onto a person and identifies them as her person. She does well with children and dogs and previously she was with other cats which she was fine with. There is a behavioral issue regarding litter box usage as she will pee in the litter box with no issue but rarely will poop in one. We have tried to work with her but at this point she is having to be secluded to one room locked away to avoid her pooping all over. She recently had her shots updated and an overall healthy checkup. We are away a lot and she is left home so she may do well with a household that could be present with her more.

Story
My mom had Lexi for 2 years and sadly she recently passed away. I have had Lexi ever since, I love her but my other cats do not get along with her. She can be shy, very sweet and sadly she hides most of the day because of them. She doesn’t have any behavior issues, doesn’t scratch furniture or bite, does extremely well with the litter box, etc. I would keep her but I’ve seen her much happier in a home without other cats. She has been around dogs too without issue. Shes around 4 or 5 years old and she does like to eat wet or dry food, she prefers to eat larger meals just twice a day or just to be free fed dry food. She’s not super anxious about eating. Shes very shy at first but she does like affection & doesn’t mind being picked up. She enjoys being touched and loved on
